Thanks for the compliments, everyone. ![]() And, GLM, first of all, a cassowary-nerd is just about the coolest kind of nerd I've heard of. One of my favorite facts about them is that, during World War II, when Australian and American troops were stationed in New Guinea, they were told to watch out for cassowaries. I just think it's hilarious that men with guns were told to beware of flightless birds. ![]() On to the next exhibit we go! Now, this next exhibit may not seem as exotic as, say, the New Guinea or Philippines exhibits, but it features island fauna nonetheless. This exhibits represents a coastal habitat on the Kerguelen Islands, in the southern Indian Ocean. Enjoy! Commerson's Dolphins and Rockhopper Penguins ![]()

I love this exhibit!! It actually looks like underwater ancient ruins buried under the ocean and overgrown with plants, it has a really old feel to it. Great job.

Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.![]() If you want a banner like mine, then click on the banner to visit my graphics thread. | |

Hupdo, it looks really good! I like the Commerson's/Rockhopper mix. I can't wait to see your Paleopark. And don't you know Cassowarries are some of the most dangerous birds? Their claws can kill people. |

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I've been waiting for GLM's Commie to come out so I can put them in an exhibit with Artifex's ruins. ![]() New exhibit time! This exhibit is another large house, this time with a more natural, wooden look. It holds two species of insular carnivores, both of which are rare and extremely unique. This is the Island Carnivores House. ![]() The first residents of the house we'll see are the... Island Foxes ![]() The island fox exhibit takes up the entire left wing of the Island Carnivores House.

That's an awesome building, very beautiful. The only thing I don't really like is the foliage you used indoors, because Im not a fan of the Artifex foliage (no offense to anyone). |
