A.R.C.'s going to the annual Seniority Showcasing Fair!

Since A.R.C. has recently turned 36 years of age and fairly received it's 20th anniversary blimp, we got into the "eyesight range" of the annual Seniority Showcasing Fair organization/hosts.
"The usual age that we don't go under is 50 years. But we started considering the A.R.C. for what it has done so far, and for it's high ratings on many, almost all W.O.O.A.P. lists." said one of the host for the newspaper that reports on SSF every year "The fact that they're one of the youngest we EVER considered, is another bonus for A.R.C.'s future. Last year's youngest zoo invited to showcase was 57 years old."

So after a few long phone calls from hosts to us, and several weeks of the hosts' discussing, we finally got that last phone call and a written letter as an invitation to join this year's Seniority Showcasing Fair.

As there are mainly ZOO's that are showcased, they bring a few animals from their most popular species in the zoo, and showcase them in small, nicely decorated exhibits during the fair. We were a bit confused over which animals to bring, so we decided to take Oys, Esther II. and Esther III. from Okapies, and Bolta and Alice from PWH's. We didn't want to drag Grim away from his family just yet, and neither did we want to have issues with the pesky Linea and Cynthia. Older animals such as Lightstarter, Sunshine, Esther and Arnie, will be safely "chilling" back home.

The animals were transported to the hosting zoo/area, and when we arrived to the holding "pens" we were a bit lost.

Thankfully all "pens" had a sign saying which animals are in the crates and which zoo owns them, alongside with a number. When we arrived to the "pen" area we got a key with our number, but no one directed us to the right "pen". So that helped too.

This one is ours:

Soon after we looked around we placed some small amounts of food that we could, and released the animals from their crates. Not all species were allowed to be released. Only herbivores of all sizes, and if the species is calm(er) by nature, and some non-flying birds.

"First door neighbors" to our animals were two a bit older Bisons ^^

And on the other side they had a whole mix of different wolf species, which, of course, were not allowed to be taken out of their crates while in the holding "pens".

Across from our exhibit is a male Cheetah:

And next to the Cheetah are a couple of grumpy male Indo-Chinese Green Peafowls.

And a bit lower in the area were two African Elephants, also still in their crates.

The SSF starts in two weeks, and preparations of our showcasing areas start tomorrow morning :D

Enjoy!

I Do It Well

Interesting idea! It is very nice! The animals seem sad in those little, dirty holding pens.

Do you have any aerial views of the area yet or are you just making the exhibits purely for the photography? xD
