@ B_R > :HUGGLES:

@ Maple > It should be epic? Oh, then I must try hard XD

I have two questions for everybody reading this!
1. Should A.R.C. join the Environ EAZA?
2. Do you still want the 2010. January Ingame Photography Contest (in the concept of quality in your ingame photographs) to be hosted, due to Environ's staff holding one (in the concept of winter)? :(

  • You should. It's really cool !
  • Nah, I think one contest at the time is enough

@ Iben > 1. As in...? & 2. Just my luck, I don't even know when was the first official photography contest >_>
And sure, I'll give it a look.

A.R.C. goes to visit :)
A new year has started and as we do every year, we decided to go through our photo albums to see what has been before, and what is now.
I decided to give you too a preview of the past A.R.C. year, but our staff was told to organize all the albums for you, so you'll be able to get that update soon :D (actually, I need to organize the folders xD)

While the staff was left to deal with the albums, I took out an old photo of Pac and started to wonder how old he is now.
He is almost 20 years old now, maybe a bit less, and although we hear from his trainer/keeper every year around Pac's birthday (in May), we haven't visited him for several years now. Two or three, I'm not sure.

So, I picked up a present for him and his "team" and took off alone to see what has "become" of him :)

I called in before I arrived, so the keepers can be there once I get there.

I arrived to his exhibit, and saw how pretty it was :)
(I am experimenting with the framing again, I think that the signature on the photos is maybe too much, but this update is for you to rate that feature/option ;) )

After I had a talk with one of his keepers I found out that Pac's keeper (Zane) got married and had to leave both Walrus Training facilities due to being pregnant, and that Pac went to early retirement then because he just cannot behave around any other trainer. Zane told them that she's very sorry because of Pac's behavior, and the Walrus Training Facility team placed him in their retirement zoo.
Although Paca is 6 years younger then him, she's with him in the zoo, retiring away.
They said that maybe they'll both return to the spotlight when Zane returns, but who knows.

The keeper let me in the exhibit where I was immediately greeted by Pac! :HUGGLES:

Posted Image

Before I was able to step out of the indoor area to see the exhibit from the inside, Pac wanted to play, and simply stopped me from leaving the indoor area xD

Posted Image

Posted Image

I totally forgot how funny he is :)
I somehow managed to get away from his playfulness...

Posted Image

Their exhibit is beautiful!

Posted Image

As I walked a bit through the exhibit I found who I was partially looking for.
This is Paca, Pac's female and mate. She's been with him for over 10 years now :)
She's just adorable :3

Posted Image

She quickly got up to greet me, and then she took me to their (I assume) favorite place in the exhibit...

Posted Image

... the pond!

As I left I chatted with their current keeper, last name Uleigh, who is keeping the Walruses fit, for any chance of Zane's quick return :)

A word from me...
Repeating the questions:
1. Should A.R.C. join the Environ EAZA?
2. Do you still want the 2010. January Ingame Photography Contest (in the concept of quality in your ingame photographs) to be hosted, due to Environ's staff holding one (in the concept of winter)? :(

Enjoy!

1 as in join EAZA. ;)

I don't understand your reaction on 2...

About the update :
Again, it isn't that creative, a bit plain and simple.
I like the graphics, but the design of the exhibit isn't that great/fantastic.

1. No, I mean "as in" what's so much fun? XD
2. Well I really wanted to see how much quality can you people gather :D

And it wasn't supposed to be very creative (it's a retirement home! 100% simplicity and swiftness.), it was just supposed to be an A.R.C. connected update until I get things running properly.

Good day, chap

It's an unusual exhibit (that isn't a bad thing!), you don't usually see Walrus' in a grassy enclosure.

The exhibit is very pretty, nonetheless.

Great update, I really like the walrus exhibit with all the bushes and it looks as the it's very comfortable for him there.

Resident Zoobuilder.

I love how the walrus habitat is completely different from what you'll see normally built.

Great job PB.

Thank you Jaguar :D
I like it because you can blow off some steam while building it, yet it's not something huge :P
