Caracal's Lair

Posted Image

At the zoo we have adopted 3 caracals from
a couple in florida who bought them as kittens
and later found themselves unable to look after them

Posted Image

This is the male Eric he is very confident and protective
of his sister (jessica) and his mate (libby).

Posted Image

Here is Jessica she is very sweet and affectionate
she loves to play with Libby and Eric
and enjoys chasing after frogs in the reeds of her exhibit
she is a great charector and all the keepers love her.

Posted Image

The exhibit is wide and spacous which suites the cats
curiousness and they love to hunt climb afew tree's
and who said cats don't like water.......

Posted Image

As our caracals love it they adore catching frogs as I said and
generly playing around in the water on a hot sweaty day.

Posted Image

Here is what the guests can see of the pond
and generly the whole exhibit.
the ground was flatened so guests can have a great view of the exhibit.

Posted Image

In the exhibit we used a great mix of foilage so the caracals
can have somthing to run around in
and those poor frogs have somewhere to hide! XD

Posted Image

And heres a donation box she please donate your comments
good or bad! :D

LAZY CAPYBARA (just to show you how lazy the capybara are)

Posted Image

LOL just look at them
the capybara live on herbivorous plains and
we have loads 3 seperate colonies in one exhibit
one around the pond to the left
one around the pond to the right
and one in the huge lake to the north of the exhibit

all together the zoo has around 20 XD.

Posted Image

Heres a group feeding on grass.

Posted Image

One frolocking in the water
.

Posted Image

So lazy XD

AND A NEW IMPROVED ZOO IS IN THE MAKING

that exhibit looks perfect!!
I can't wait to see more. :)
And yes, they look really lazy. XD
Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.
