Well, I just found out that my great-great-great-great-great grandma (or something) was directly related to the king of Scotland. (Ill tell them that when i visit Edinburgh zoo)

Also, my great-great-great-great-great-great-great uncle (or something) designed the Titanic, and gave his life to save another passanger. Which also means my uncle was the reason the Titanic sunk, bad design...

I will call my Scottish slaves now.

The envy of all.
My family were sheep herders in England. :/ At least my ancestors were warm. My great grandparents also fought in WW2, but a lot of people have relatives like that.

my german side of the family lived in a part of germany which I forgot about in the old days, maybe 1700s-1800s, and uhlig was a common name among them. they left and settled as farmers in Iowa, and one of them went off to fight and help the union in the civil war. we also married into a british family, me and my sister are the first generation of the uhlig family with arab DNA, I am 50% arab, 25% german, 15% british, 9% swedish, and 1% native american. probably tell a bit more when I read genealogy

I wish I knew something about my family. I know most of my family is from England. I've got some Finnish from my dad, Native American and Metis from both, and that's about it. I looked up my last name on Google once, but it didn't come up with much. Apparently it's one of those names that researchers don't know anything about, like, origin wise, etc. I should look up my nana's maiden name sometime, though.

When I looked up my surname it couldn't find a definition (it is Iranian) this is what it said

Did you mean:
sandy, sandy hook, sandy mushroom, sandyx, sane, sanely, saneness, sanfoin, sanford, sang
It just gets on my nerves. According to my family it means inventor and my first name means congratulations but I dont know if it's true or not.

Then again here's someone famous with my surname:

Grand Ayatollah Yousef Sanei

My dad, uncle and grand dad were all in wars. My grand dad was a general, my dad never went to heavily aggressive combat, and my uncle's a KIA, he used to man the big machine guns you can see on the back of vehicles designed by the military. I think that the military past goes a lot further back then that.
