A ton of heroes have capes. So many folks in Atlas have them and auras constantly. If you make it so you can't use the hair when you have capes on, I don't see a problem. :P It's like the bridal veil.

The capes can't be the problem, for one simple reason.

The lag you see on the hill isn't graphical. It's server latency based. The server is either trying to send too much data to and from your client, or it's choking on its allotment of data to process.

If it was a graphical issue, the game would become a slideshow, not just unresponsive as is the case.
Um...Castle found out the problem, though. He tested it and everything, and it turns out the sheer amount of capes were causing the issue.
In fact, he stated it had a lot to do with the amount of data the servers were trying to communicate in order to render the cape movements. 1000 Romans Jumping down a big hill...well...

This isn't us saying so. This is us relating a statement made by the developers.
