An apology

Hello all. It's been a long time.

I will get right to the point:

I was harsh in my criticisms of some of the things I saw in the EoA. For this, I humbly apologize. It was a frustration borne of something I have seen over and over again, and I took it out on some of you. I consider all of you exceptional RP'ers, and my diatribe was ill thought out. Reactionary. :(

Again, I humbly apologize if I offended any of you. I consider you friends, the EoA being the first REAL RP group that is above and beyond good. You people were the first I could interract with and actually have fun with.

With Respect and Humility,

Jason aka Takaroa aka Nusrah al-Qasim(Atlantean Outlaw concept :) )

I like to the point, probably took you a lot less time to type this than it did me to do all the quote things.

OK, this had several, so I will go in order.
I am a big boy I can take criticisms.
Didn't take it out on me so we are good.
I'm exceptional RP'er? clearly you have me confused with some other Oldqua.
Diatribe, yep I had to google that.

Hay man it's a game, we are all here to have fun, I wouldn't pay for game that was no fun, that's crazy!

And while I speak with no authority in the EoA or knowledge of what exactly happened, I consider your apology well thought out and from the heart. Thanks.

Doin' good, Seventy Seven! And thanks again, both of you. :)

Well, I jut finished up the first part of The Sunless Sea Trilogy, which will take place over the next three weeks. Each part will be ready by Friday night, with a week in between for RP. With the first part, I am introducing a new, ultra violent species: The Golgolei. Also, I re-imagined Nusrah al-Qasim, as a cutthroat/outlaw/bandit/ who robs caravans in the Outer Banks, the Outer 'wildwest' of the Atlantean Kingdom :).

At any rate, I have joined Fathom with Tak, Saeglopur, and Nusrah al-Qasim. I will be speaking with Tritonius concerning an sg centered around the Paikaeans, name still eludes me for sg ;).

It is good to be back and rp'ing with you all. Hope to see you all soon! And I hope you like The Sunless Sea: The Pirate...the first installment of the Trilogy.

More to come! No spoilers! :D

Respectfully,

Jason aka Takaroa :)

First, apology accepted. We all say stuff we wish we could take back later.

Second, a suggestion. I'm really prone to written outbursts too. You might try something I've taken to doing that helps curtail my more grandiose verbal sparring. When you want to write something that you are pretty sure will tick someone off. Write it. Then do the following in order:
1. wait 24 hours
2. take 10 minutes to really think about the situation and what change you want to see in it.
3. re-read your letter. Consider if what you wrote will affect the change that you already wanted.
4. If the answer is yes or you still firmly stand behind everything you said and don't care that someone will get het up about it, post it. If the answer is no, modify until you get something that will help bring about the desired change.

I started doing that and it helps me not put my foot in my mouth...mostly. The last really bad one I sent was a resignation letter that included the phrase, "As you have worked with ruthless abandon to crush all joy and devotion from your staff I take my leave of you. I cannot wish you well but I do wish that you receive all that you have given to the undeserving staff that have labored like slaves for you in a thankless, grim and overworked environment." Yeah...that's when I decided I needed to fix my shoot off at the mouth/pen problem.

Much Joy in your return,
Osa

Very good advice, Snowspell! I will take it to heart :)

Again, good to see everyone again!

As for a group hug, sure! :D

Also if you all have any ideas for a name for the Paikaean SG I am making, let me know. I'm fresh out. I have two names thus far: The Children of Paikaea or The Haka(a traditional Maori war dance :) ).

Hope ya'll can come and join in on The Sunless Sea: The Pirate tonight! If you want to test it out, arc ID is 429695

Peace! Off to see INCEPTION! :D

Nice to see you back. If you check some of my posts around here I've been gearing up for a big SG event. I talked to you about in the OCC channel a couple of months ago involving a big surface, undersea war.

I'm still planning on having the Paikaeans involved. You emailed me critter files. I hope its still okay.

Again, good to see you back.
