GLOBAL NAME: @ Gold Guardsman CHARACTER NAME: Moranius POWERSET/ARCHETYPE: Broad Sword/Shield Defense Scrapper CHARACTER INFORMATION: Moranius is one of the few surviving members of a sub-marine reptilian race known as the Kalpa. For decades the beings waged fierce war among themselves, quickly dwindling their numbers. It was not until the Atlanteans intervened and began peace talks with the Kalpa that Moranius and a few others saw the error of their ways. Though not all Kalpa listened, some chose to abandon the endless and senseless fighting. Moranius and a few others joined the Atlanteans under the invite of King Bahamut and became loyal members of the Atlantean military. Moranius joined the infantry and served loyaly. Upon the murder of the king and the subsequent calling of Poseidon, Moranius ventured to the surface with the other Atlanteans to fullfill his duty. Notes: It is hard for Kalpa to form some words when speaking so he often can be misunderstood. ( Misspells in typing will be intentional to get proper pronunciation for his words. ) Through his time with the Atlanteans, Moranius has learned to keep his aggresion in check as they have showed him a new way of life. Kalpa: The Kalpa are a very aggressive race by nature. It was this that caused the fighting among themselves. They seemed to only focus on the 'now' and not what their actions would cause for the future of their people. They are fierce warriors that will not quit once they have set their minds to something. On many occasions, this has led to death. Death in battle is not viewed as a wasted life to the Kalpa however, it is considered a true honor. As far as Kalpa in general Atlantean society, they are quietly considered to be little more than pets, this mostly among the Mer-Elite. Most Atlanteans aknowledge their citizenship and have welcomed them, to a degree. But there are also many Atlanteans who consider the Kalpa as equal citizens. There is seldom any outward ridicule of them, but there are those who whisper among their circles that Atlantis would be better off without them.

( Updated his picture. I finally got enough Influence to get his costume right. The 'wings' are actually a type of fin that aids in swimming. ) |

(I kinda like this one. While the archetype/build is hardly unique, the new aquatic creature seems to mesh with the lore well enough and seems to go well with the other exotic, water-based type creatures already in the group) |

I've met and played with this character, by chance. Interesting idea, and the player seems to be serious about it. Personally I'd like to see what develops. |
