Someone had to come by and take care of the turtle - I've just noticed that Stan also has a cactus. Those need to be watered, don't they?

Considering his mom comes by daily to iron his shirts anyway, it shouldn't be much more trouble for her to feed and water the turtle and cactus!

MABW? I've seen that, but I can't remember what it stands for.

edit: 20kluts is worth being mentioned as well I think.

Yeah, but you didn't have them all in caps, and you know what a pain I can be! B)

Just keep adding to your orginal post! Maybe we should have William pin this one too! New people need not be as confused as we seem to have Telecat!

I'm not overly confused (well, other than the turtle thing which was explained to me repeatedly and still doesn't make sense)... I just don't pay close attention to "'net spelling" because I don't like it. So I tend to ignore it. Unfortunately that means that when it becomes part of a conversation, I haven't any clue what the abbreviation stands for, that's where I get confused. I guess I'm old fashioned in that I prefer proper spelling. <shrug> It's okay, I'm used to it.

Lenny the turtle, Sybil the chameleon in S&A season 1, the cat in The Fifth Element...if I go to see a film with friends they are now used to me questioning what happened to any fictional animals that were in it
I don't think there is anything to really explain, it's just a me quirk (and maybe a Mel quirk too?!).
