As I'd mentioned in the chatbox: 'RESET BUTTON' Posted Image Three seasons in, the cast is still 16 years old. They don't seem to worry about school, or even returning to their home-towns/families. There have been 'winners' in all three seasons .. but do they get to leave, and enjoy their winnings..? No; somehow, the winners' gains are completely 'erased' during the inter-season specials, and everyone starts for the prize all over again. ------------------------ TDWT takes place entirely on the TDA studio lot Posted Image Rarely does the cast encounter anyone else along their world tour. Is the show's 'crowd control' really that efficient..? How are places like Japan, New York, London or (especially) Shanghai practically 'deserted'..? :mystery: And besides, would they really be allowed to climb over, or through, national monuments such as the Statue of Liberty or the Pyramids..? I submit that the entire third season actually takes place on the abandoned movie studio lot from the second season. Yes, including the plane! Remember the airplane set from "Full Metal Drama"..? :whatareyoulookingat: |

XDDDDD OF COURSE!!! And I keep telling ya, they're living in the world of Higurashi! :P And they'll continue to relive every few weeks over and over again until the quiet bitter cynical one destroys the repetition of them dying over and over so that they can live. And then the bitchy blond won't die. :boo: |

The two images that I've posted in this particular thread, I'd gotten from the Total Drama Production Blog, a year or so ago (ya might have to work your way back through quite a few "Older Posts" to find 'em). The originals, posted there, are actually quite a bit larger..! Todd Kauffman and Mark Thornton are pretty good about posting 'high-quality' screencaps from the show on their blog .. but they generally wait until after a particular episode has aired in Canada, before doing so; thus, there's not much there from TDWT, yet. EDIT: I just visited the Production Blog, and it looks like a lot of their older posts are gone, now. :( I'm not sure if they're gone for good, or just for the moment. Most of the first-season images (and .GIF sequences) in my pic-host; I 'grabbed' myself from the Total Drama Island DVD set, using a software-based player called PowerDVD. |

@ Ezekiel: So, the 'fake' world tour is so convincing, even the contestants aren't aware they're really still on the lot..? That's an even bigger conspiracy than I'd thought .. :eyepopping: |

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! Are the producers trying to put in hidden messages to brainwash the kids' minds?! |

Yes, it's a cartoon. But that doesn't mean that we can't come up with conspiracy theories. :P I have a theory that Noah has never said a sarcastic line in his life. His tone just makes it sound that way, and he rolls his eyes whenever people don't understand that he's being serious. |

And as we speak, the writers are writing down our theories and exclaiming, "THIS IS GOLD! Why didn't we steal the fans' ideas before?" :P And I can seriously see that It-was-all-on-the-TDA-lot thing actually happening... And @Cartoon But that would mean he's actually really stupid, wouldn't it? :P |

Worse than we thought? "Must learn how to make nose-shakes like Owen! That'll impress Cody!" Noah: It's like asking a girl out, only she's a guy. Owen: Oh, okay! (to DJ) Hey, DJ! Hey, you wanna go for hot dogs with my buddy Noah? He says your legs are nice. (wolf whistles) Noah: (sarcastically) Yeah, because that's exactly what I told him to say. "Pretty blouse." So he's gay, too? :P |

1. No where does it exclaim the cast is still 16. After TDI, the characters ages aren't mentioned again. This could mean they're 18 or 19. Plus, Cody had a birthday in TDWT. As for them always trying to win that 1 million bucks? They're just really determined. Although I can tell some of the contestants (i.e. Izzy, Cody, Geoff) are just there for a good time. 2. How could they fit the entire Wall of China in one set? Entire desserts? An exact replica of the Statue of Liberty? As for them being allowed to climb atop National Monuments, Chris obviously has connections with the government. So I believe you've just been jossed. |
