Real World Information:
During Michael's time in the Real World, he lived in the largest state in the United States by area. It is situated in the northwest extremity of the North American continent, with Canada to the east, the Arctic Ocean to the north, and the Pacific Ocean to the west and south. Kodiak Island, Alaska had plenty of small villages. Michael's village was located on the northern part of the island, where it was mountainous and heavily forested.

Living in a small village, which wasn't very populated, Michael didn't get to enjoy the modern technology. He heard that computers had revolutionized. Unfortunately, he was stuck with a very old model. The Operating System was Windows '98. They were lucky to have a 500GB hard drive, which wasn't really much. Instead of having a CD/DVD drive, it had the Floppy Disk Drive. His computer was prehistoric compared to modern day computers. Luckily, Michael did have internet. That's what he would do on his free time, when he wasn't reluctantly hunting. He had no choice. It's the only way they could eat.

"Be cautious, son. See those bear tracks?" Michael's father pointed at the trail of large paw prints in the snow. they were definitely fresh. "They have to be close. Hopefully we'll get more to hunt this time." Michael let out a sigh. 'Great.' Still being young, this was Michael's third time hunting. He really did not enjoy it. The only thing he actually enjoyed was exploring and tracking. He was becoming very fond of tracking.

They both stopped at a fork in the road. Tracks went both left and right. like father like son, they both let out a sigh this time. "Shall we split up?" Michael asked. His eyes followed the hoof prints going to the left. His father placed his hand on Michael's shoulder. "Be careful, Michael." He said with a smile, before running off towards the right. Michael watched as his father disappeared in the distance. He started to walk down the left path, studying the hoof prints along the way. He knew these were also fresh because the snow would have covered them up within an hour. He gripped his spear with both hands and crept down the path. The sun didn't even peak yet. The sky was still dark. His eyes glanced up as the light of the Aurora Borealis caught his attention. He stood there mesmerized. Michael tried to remember the last time he had seen the Aurora Borealis. It definitely was not this glamorous. "What the-" He muttered as he examined the aurora. Was the lights playing tricks on his eyes? Or, did he see images of forests, small islands, deserts, and the ocean? Michael walked a much slower pace as he continued to stare at the sky.

Suddenly, a beam of light shot down from the aurora and collided with the ground in front of Michael, causing him to fall backwards. The hole, in which the beam of light created in the snow, began to emit a bright light. Then, emerging from the hole was a bubble of light. The bubble of light slowly ascended. Michael stood and approached the rising bubble. He couldn't help himself. He attracted, like he was a moth. Micheal extended his arms and cupped his hands around the bubble of light. It was warm. The light, which illuminated his palms, suddenly subsided. He could feel something in his hands. The object's size gradually increased within seconds. Until, he held a Blue Device in the palm of his right hand. He was now confused and didn't know what to do with it.

He stared at it for a moment. Then, his hands gripped tighter around the device as it began to rise again, but this time there was no stopping it. Michael tugged with all his might, but he couldn't let the device go. With all his effort, he didn't realize how high he was. Michael was very close to the Aurora. After that, he blacked out...

Michael woke up laid out on his back. His body was drenched in sweat. He sat up, delusional. Michael was surrounded by bright yellow sand. It was extremely hot. Especially with his thick winter gear on. He removed his winter gear and stuck them in his backpack, leaving his favorite white scarf wrapped around his neck. Luckily he wore a white vest underneath his jacket.

The boy looked around for something to lead him in the right direction. His compass did work. The needle was going haywire. "Great..." He muttered, letting out yet another sigh. "Where am I?!" Micheal screamed, hoping someone was around to answer, but a few seconds passed and there was no reply. So, he trudged forward. Letting his gut lead him.

It felt like hours since he started walking through the desert. He just stared out in the distance, hoping to see something. A small lake, shade, something. Micheal wrapped the white scarf around his head, leaving an opening for his eyes and nose. It was much cooler now.

Michael stopped walking and twisted his head to the right. Behind him, he heard a few footsteps before they stopped. He spun around to see a tiny white...blob following him. The blob looked up at him and didn't say a word. Michael studied for a moment, then bent over to examine it even closer. A lot of strange things were happening, He felt an instant connection with this little guy. Underneath his scarf, Michael smiled. "Hey little guy. What or who are you? He asked, not expecting to get a reply. The blob smiled. "Poyo...mon" The blob managed, which left Michael speechless. All he could do was raise an eyebrow. Poyomon began to continuously bounce in one spot, repeating...it's name maybe. Poyomon, is it?" The little blob finally towards him, leaving Michael no choice but to catch him in his arms. They both laughed. "Well, hi there Poyomon. My name is Michael." Michael said. Poyomon had a wide smile on it's tiny face, then the device he forgot about started to make a shrieking sound and the screen lit up. So did Poyomon. In his arms, Poyomon gradually grew in size until the light subsided. Michael was again stunned. This new creature seemed just as happy. He now had for legs, or nubs, two long ears, and his body was fatter. "My name is Tokomon now. I'm a Digital Monster. Or Digimon for short. This world you were transported to is what we call the Digital World." Tokomon informed him before jumping out of his arms.

"Tokomon... Digimon... Digital World...?" Michael repeated. He was a little shocked that this one actually talked. At least he got his answers. He was now in the Digital World. Where ever that was. Africa maybe. Whatever damn continent has deserts. "Yup. I knew you would catch on quick." Tokomon smiled. "Now. Follow me. We're almost to your new home." Tokomon said as he ran forward. "New home? Wait up, Tokomon" Michael ran off to catch up to his new partner...
