EPITOME OF AWESOME.

I will post interesting stuff in this topic... (and not the guess what topic <_< because you can't talk about the same thing for more than like 2 posts...)

Menopause in the animal kingdom appears perhaps to be somewhat uncommon, although the incidence in different species has by no means been thoroughly researched. However, it is already quite apparent that humans are not the only species that experience it. Menopause has been observed in rhesus monkeys[5] and all other primates, some cetaceans[6], as well as in a variety of other vertebrate species including the guppy[7], the platyfish, the budgerigar, the laboratory rat and mouse, and the opossum.

Must admit, I find this kinds of stuff fascinating...

All of the people alive today can trace their ancestors back to about 10,000 people who lived 175,000 years ago. This is why we share about 99.5 of our DNA with most everyone on the planet. So in a way, we are all related.

Hahaha that's werd/funny... :P

So this is like an "Animal Guess What" topic, then?

Both of these are interesting, especially the second article, which actually contains quite a lot of fascinating information.

Sure thing I suppose. :P Yeah, it is fascinating. I love genetics.

The brain-to-body weight ratios of corvid brains are among the largest in birds, equal to that of great apes and cetaceans, and only slightly lower than a human.[23] Their intelligence is boosted by the long growing period of the young. By remaining with the parents, the young have more opportunities to learn necessary skills. Since most corvids are cooperative brooders, their young can learn from different members of the group.[6]

You know, that would explain a lot - about magpies, in particular.

Magpies are extremely intelligent. But no one except scientists seem to notice this... I don't know why gardeners hate corvids.

It's probably because they steal all sorts of objects. I think they've done it to us a couple of times...

I know they can't; I was just explaining why some people find them annoying.
