This is fan art for a Alternate History novel called The Two Georges where George III and George Washington come to a peaceful agreement and the 13 colonies never rebel. The history of the world is very different as a result. I created post displaying the flags of parts of the Empire mentioned in the title of the Charles III. I propose a toast. Posts: 777 Group: Golden Members Member #287 Joined: October 17, 2008	Japan in this book is only the home islands, Korea and Formosa. Japan was into creating a bigger Japan rather than colonies so they all used the same flag, and I assume they would in this world too.

Posts: 777 Group: Golden Members Member #287 Joined: October 17, 2008	It actually sounds like a fairly nice world. It has it's problems but then so does ours. The Title is the name of a painting of George III and George Washington that symbolises unity between America and the UK. The Book is about how it is stolen and the hunt to recover it. It's a great book. Lol I just watched the latest episode of the Simpsons. I think the painting was slightly different to this. Here is a image I made mucking about with some photos. It's of the Empire of Japan's weapon of last resort against the Confederate invades. As the Confederates take the island of Iwo Jima the Imperial Soldiers do they divine duty. Otto, and monarchs in general seem to have so much more character than those mayfly presidents. Do you know that after being a heavy chain smoker he quit and now only smokes on World No Tobacco Day?

Back in Bush's day their were people who said those who criticized him were being unpatriotic, which is a problem when your head of state is also the chap running the show. In Europe we try to solve this problem by having a prime ministers and a president, which just wastes money. Imagine if all those nations could just have 1 Emperor and each state's prime ministers. That could pay for quite a few hospitals or warships.

All of Karafuto was taken over in 1920 after the massacre in Nikolayevsk Incident. The Anarchist forces of Yakov Triapitsyn who entered Nikolayevsk under a flag of truce. Nikolayevsk was home to White Army and Japanese troops and 450 Japanese civilians. Yakov's men started rounding up White Russians and killing them. After the Japanese launched a surprise attack which failed, all military personal, Japanese civilians and 13,000 Russians were massacred and the town razed. Only 2000 survived. While the bolshies did execute Yakov Japan still too over all of Karafuto. Quite right too.

It is based on a postcard from 1905 but with a with a Japanese empire from 1920-25. http://aboutjapan.japansociety.org/content.cfm/map_world_flag The text says "Empire of Japan" in Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Russian.

With that said, though, the greyed-out land would probably take up too much space, and we wouldn't see mucvh of the flag.
