I've written eight tutorials for this, and now I'd like you to choose the subject of my ninth. Is there anything you'd like any help with, or anything major which you think is missing from here which you would like to see posted? If so, tell me and I'll write about it. |

I think that you've got pretty much everything. What I would suggest, however, is that you should add these tutorials to the main Chess Resources site. I know I've suggested this in the past, but I believe it could possibly attract interest to the forum. |

The existing forks tutorial includes quite a few forks that don't involve checks (although, since it's nearly three years old, I may be able to find some ways to improve it). I could also do an en passant one, though. |

Actually, that's a good point: it would probably end up being quite a short tutorial, so I'd probably have to think of something else to combine it with. Maybe something else to do with pawns? |

Excellent idea. I quite enjoy messing up opponents' pawn structures and giving them as many pawn islands as possible, so it'd be a good idea to write a tutorial explaining how to defend against this. |

I know what you mean; it's certainly good fun to use them against beginners who think their pawns are "not worth anything"  .
