I am only in favour of it if it helps to cure ailments and illnesses previously incurable (or has another good purpose). In extreme cases, you could even grow spare body parts that are usually unavailable. I would think the previous statement a bit dubious if we had to get them from cloned humans though, rather than just grow the parts individually. I don't think we should clone humans otherwise, because it could lead to the development of so-called "master races"; genetic diversity would definitely be impacted in such a case. Besides, would you want 10000 copies of yourself all over the place? I definitely wouldn't.

Such advances would also have an impact on terrorism, resulting in, potentially, the end of life on this planet. However, I must agree that it should be used when there is no other easy alternative. To add to this, there's also the religious arguments against it. I would, however, quite like to see the technology extended to other industries that could make use of it, as long as their products didn't have emotions or the ability to think for themselves - otherwise it just wouldn't be a moral thing to do.

That would no doubt be a recipe for disaster.

We could set up a dictatorship for our clones to live in, I suppose . Then again, that probably wouldn't be very practical.
