A collection of regions situated on an Earth-like world, this world is inhabited by strange, powerful, creatures called Pokemon. This had radically shaped how they've developed- instead of focusing their technological advancements on weapons, they've focused them on creating things like Poke Balls, more powerful medicines, and even machines that can heal almost any minor injury to Pokemon. Since being dragged into the multiverse during the Stabilization, some of the regions have been wracked by the changes, such as Kanto and Unova, while others, such as Hoenn, have thrived. While factions such as the Shield have taken a large role in shaping certain parts of the region, no one faction exerts total control over the regions of the planet.
Major Regions:Kanto and Johto (Red)
The two regions closest to one another, the former has been rocked by a series of unfortunate events since the multiverse. Mt. Moon exploded, severely damaging both Pewter City and Celadon City, while Pallet Town has practically ceased to be due to a pair of mysterious individuals. A young trainer from Unova challenged and defeated Lt. Surge as well, while Erika has attempted to rebuild in Celadon, although Team Rocket has once again taken up refuge in their old base under the casino there. In Johto, Team Rocket attempted but failed to take up residence underneath the Burnt Tower, thanks to Momohime, and were subsequently wiped out by Morty and his gym trainers.
Hoenn
A region split in two by land and sea, Hoenn has been mostly untouched since entering the Multiverse, save for an alternate version that a pair of travelers went to where Groudon ravaged the entire region. The region has slowly turned into the cultural center of PokeEarth, with Slateport as the epicenter, where you can find goods all across PokeEarth and even across the Multiverse in its marketplace. There has been some suspicious activities around places like New Mauville as of late, however, as well as in some of the more ancient areas that litter the region. Paciflidog Town and the Sky Pillar were recently wiped out during the New Valorian invasion of the area, though outside of some damage the rest of the region remains pretty safe.
Sinnoh (Aliasse)
One of the most varied of the regions, ranging from warm beaches to tall cold mountains, Sinnoh is the home to the legendary Mt. Coronet, which divides the region nearly directly in two. Like Hoenn, it too has been left mostly untouched by the Multiverse at large, though it hasn't become quite the cultural center that its fellow region has been. Recently, another passageway into the Distortion World was discovered and explored by Luna and Professor Rowan.
A New Valorian raid on Floroma Town saw information on the legendary Pokemon Shaymin stolen. In the after math, Aliasse's address that she would handle it, and subsequent news that she'd successfully gathered support to expel the invaders has seen her looked upon as a sort of guardian of the region.
Unova (Hilbert)
Arguably the region most affected by the world's entry into the multiverse, Team Plasma managed to control almost the entire region, as the future Champion, Hilda, vanished before she could defeat N and Ghetsis. However, she came back- with friends, including the Wreckers (who discovered what Plasma was doing to the region in the Desert Resort), her brother Hilbert (who was an active member of the resistance in Unova), Connor, and Saber. In a bold and reckless campaign, the group shattered Plasma's grip over the region, and now are focused on rebuilding the damage done by Team Plasma. Mistralton has also been hit hard by an ambitious Spiritomb, though his plot was foiled by Uber and his group. Recently, a plot by Bronius and his mysterious allies attempted to use Hilbert to free Ghetsis in an attempt to wrangle control back from the League and Hilda. This, however, failed due to both the heroics of the Autobots and Hilda, as well as subterfuge from within.
With the region's liberation from Team Plasma, Hilda was declared Champion, but in a different light; she would serve as the head guardian of the region against threats both domestic and foreign. The New Valorians attempted to invade here as well, but their main force was wiped out by a combination of trainers from the region, outsiders, and a small band of rebels.
Kalos
For the most part, this European-esque region has been left alone. With Team Flare out of the picture, the region has found itself at peace since the world was dragged into the Multiverse, outside of a few small encounters with it. For a time, the Battle Chateau was under the control of a vampire, but the efforts of an anonymous group of Multiverse travelers freed it from their influence, allowing the Chateau to reopen a short time later.
Current Events:Across both Kanto and Johto, Team Rocket has slowly tried to rebuild themselves back up. While they were booted out of their new base in Ecruteak, the organization is slowly regaining their old influence across the regions, and the Gym Leaders and Indigo Plateau would love the help in kicking them out.
With Plasma gone, Clay has been working on his redesigns for Driftveil, including an ambitious project- the Pokemon World Tournament, a place designed so that trainers from all across the world and multiverse can come together and battle. He would like the help in flattening the Cold Storage so that construction can proceed.
Recently, there have been signs of Team Flare cropping up in remote parts of Kalos. While the gym leaders have managed to apprehend most of them, there's a few pockets of resistance they simply cannot get to, and would like the help in kicking them out.
Plot Hooks:-Mysterious energy signatures have been picked up on between Slateport and Paciflidog, concerning Captain Stern. He worries that someone is attempting to do something in one of the caverns beneath the heavy currents, and would like someone to help investigate these signals.
{In Progress}-A group of people in odd spacesuit-like get ups have been seen around Lake Acuity, just beyond the snow choked routes of northern Sinnoh. Cynthia has noticed this, and has become concerned with the well being of the legendary Pokemon there, Uxie. While she can't leave the Pokemon League, she has sent out a message to meet up with Candice by the entrance of the lake to investigate. Trekking through part of Mt. Coronet, Route 217, and 218 is almost required for this, as the blizzards in the area have gotten worse to the point that others cannot fly in.
-An explosion was seen in Iron Island not too long ago. Byron, the gym leader of nearby Canalave City, would love someone to help him investigate these happenings
{In Progress}-A mysterious signal has caused Pokemon to spontaneously evolve in Johto's Safari Zone, in the most remote western corner of the region. Worryingly, these evolved Pokemon have temper issues, causing Baoba to temporarily shut down the place for safety reasons. He would pay a handsome sum to anyone who would investigate the mysterious signal and shut it down.
{In Progress}-Preceding the comeback of the Aether Foundation, Team Skull activity had been on the rise, but now locals are complaining that it's worse than ever before. Po Town is far better guarded and Aether Foundation employees around the region are being harassed by the thugs, such that President Lusamine herself has issued a request to investigate this sudden rise in activity.
-Kanto and Johto have been in an uproar recently due to a sudden spike in activity from Team Rocket. Unlike previous attacks, these seem more organized and malicious, actively targeting experienced Pokemon Trainers directly as opposed to engaging them in battle. A few cases have already been dealt with and a few Team Rocket grunts incarcerated. These grunts are arrested but despite the Interpol's attempts they are unable to make them confess their methods or plans; they simply shout "Glory to Giovanni!" whenever they are questioned. As such the Interpol has put a bounty for these criminals, rewarding anyone who may help them discover more about their motives; though they prefer people who can defend themselves without the use of their Pokemon, obviously.
-There's been a rumor surfacing around the Unova region of a strange device bearing a "Skull" emblem being recovered from a Legendary Pokemon in the depths of Twist Mountain; workers claimed the device was controlling the Pokemon forcefully, though official testimonies are mostly inconclusive due to the poor lighting deep in the mountain. Clay is unresponsive to the rumors and dismissive when interviewed about them, but shortly after the word reached him the Pokemon League issued an official request for Pokemon Trainers to investigate sightings of these machines in any regions they come across. They may not just be in Unova, after all. Any who are capable of retrieving them intact and turn them in to the Pokemon League will surely receive hefty compensation.
