The nuked remnants of the United States of America after the one day Great War in 2077, caused by a massive shortage of resources- namely, fuel. Society has moved on since then, but resources are always a need. While settlements have been established and even miniature nations have cropped up, the vast majority of these wastes are still wild and deadly, and can easily maim or kill an unprepared traveler.

Major Regions
Capital Wasteland (Noblesse Oblige)

Mojave Wasteland

Core Region

Texas Wasteland

Midwest Wasteland

Big MT (M.A.R.S.)

The Commonwealth

Current Events:
While before the multiverse, the political power was in a delicate balance between the Strip (comprised of Brotherhood of Steel and mutants, as well as Mr. House), the Legion, and the NCR, now the NCR is pushing these parties out and slowly establishing control of the region. While Mr. House and the Strip have lied low, Legion has put up a major fight against the NCR. Multiverse influence one way or the other could decide the fate of the region.

Lately, the Legionnaires in the Texas Wasteland have been fighting off and on with Jakobs, though neither has made any large dents in the other. While no full blown war has erupted here, it's bound to happen sooner or later- especially if the Legion is forced to retreat from the Mojave.

The Commonwealth has changed significantly in the past few months. A squad of New Valorians led by Weiss Schnee saved the Minutemen from extinction, culminating in helping them retake the Castle. General Preston Garvey now leads the organization, sending aid to settlements in need, setting up trade routes, and setting up new communities that practically flourish overnight. Support for the Minutemen and their Multiversal allies is steadily rising.

Recently, a number of Institute Synths were reported to have broken free from their masters, and rumor says that a lone, mysterious figure is responsible for the deed. Interestingly, it's also rumored that this person is not associated with the Railroad. While this is not a major blow to the Institute, the faction has retreated even further into hiding for now, likely researching a countermeasure to combat this setback.

Plot Hooks:

-The Gunners have rapidly spread across the Commonwealth, holding wide swaths of territory in the south and claiming several strategic positions across Boston and the north Commonwealth. Reports say that the faction is integrating Multiverse tech into their arsenal at an alarming rate, and have taken to recruiting offworlders, including non-humans. They are effectively at war with the Minutemen, and while the latter have the edge in tech, the Gunners are just as numerous and utterly relentless. The region would be better off with the Gunners gone, but those who aid or join them would certainly get plenty of caps and loot.

-The rapid growth of the New California Republic has also created rapidly increasing wants and needs for energy, water, and food. And yet, the NCR has been unwilling to work with Multiversial merchants and relief groups. Citizens advocating for offworld trade and aid blame a mix of President Kimball's political regime and political corruption courtesy of NCR companies for the refusals. Both sides of the controversy would appreciate that the other be quieted.

-Caesar's Legion has been a growing concern. Many towns outside of its borders been ransacked, their populace slaughtered or enslaved. The NCR and Jakobs try their hardest to fight off the Legion from the Mojave and Texas, respectively, but they can't always keep up with everything, and Utah, Wyoming, and other neighboring states have no NCR or Jakobs to protect them.

-New Reno has established itself as a new Nation, the Nevada People's Democracy, and has begun to recruit smaller settlements to join them. The leadership has called to the multiverse for assistance in speaking to some settlements.

-With the reveal of Aperture Science, many strange versions of the Wasteland's fauna have been seen wandering around the Michigan area. They all seem to have strange technology integrated with their biology. Some have the ability to "teleport" or have tough armor surrounding them. Some are generally hardier than most. Thankfully, they have stayed close to a small shack in the middle of an overgrown cornfield. It could be catastrophic if any spread across the Wasteland.

-Intrepid explorers from the NCR have decided to begin an exploration into the Northern Regions of the North American Wasteland. They've put out a request for explorers from off world, and promise them rewards beyond anything they have seen before.

-Small towns in the mid-west of the Wasteland have been found razed and ransacked. The few survivors tell stories of a gang of Raiders with working vehicles, terrorizing places with no way to fend them back. The 1st Recon have put out a call for assistance in stopping the gang before they make their way to NCR territory.

-In the land of Olathe, Kansas... only men and mutants still live. There's word of a strange pill out there - Joy. I don't know why you'd want to go here... this is a dark place, filled with dead trees and mountains. Still, you may want to check out the Fishman Village, or investigate Joy itself. Find out how it was made - what the side effects are. Be careful though, there are mutants and various gangs around.

-Across the wasteland, one sport remains popular - LETHAL LEAGUE! You only need three walls, a floor, a bat, and a ball! The rules vary, but the base is: you get hit five times, get outta here, buster! Travel across America to become the best there ever was by beating some of the known greatest such as Switch, Candyman, Sonata, Raptor, Dice, and Latch! Who knows, at the end of the whole ordeal, maybe Big Boss Doombox himself will take you on!
