"Alright..." Boss said with his fellow lieutenants as they exited the many elevators that brought them to the Saints HQ's lobby floor. The Penthouse was a nice reprieve from everything going wrong in the world...but it seemed the world wanted the Saints to pay attention.

They neared the doors that lead to the chaos from the wormhole outside. While the ground was still shaking and there were screams filling the air from terrified people, it seemed...different somehow. It didn't have the Steelport feel to it. The other Saints were catching this awkward feeling as well, as they made their way to the outside only to be stopped by the leader.

"I'll go outside. Check things out. Shit's looking all kinds of weird out there and I don't wanna risk you guys. Go back to the Penthouse and secure it. Kill any f***er who even thinks of entering without my permission." With a quick cock of his pistol and a crack of his neck, the Boss entered outside as his lieutenants did what they were told. They knew the Boss meant well. Besides, they all knew something wasn't right, but knew the Boss would figure it out. He always seemed to have a plan for everything.

The doors of the Saints Headquarters opened to reveal something the Boss couldn't even plan for. It wasn't Steelport. It just didn't have the atmosphere...the feel....the smell of hookers and cocaine. Boss caught this immediately, but didn't know what to do. The best thing he could do for now was wait for someone to appear.

"Where the f*** did my Steelport go!?"

A cloaked Shy Guy shuttle had dropped them off at one of the docks of Steelport. Kanji arrived with several other Garden students. The leader for this mission had decided that they were going to looking around for information, so it would be better to split up and keep in touch their comms. Kanji was more than fine with that. He wasn't too threatened by this city; it was just like his world after all. He was a bit nervous about being in a big city, but that feeling was also laced with excitement. They were never told that they couldn't have fun on this mission.

Kanji took towards the sidewalk, hunching his shoulders in front of him. It was odd, but he disappeared in the crowds. No one even took a second glance at his leather jacket and piercings. People were still shaken from their world entering the Multiverse though, so that probably had more to do with it. There were whispers of earthquakes or even... another gang or military attack? That wasn't something Kanji had been expecting. There were gangs back home, but nothing that could cause the ground to rumble to point that people thought it was explosions.

Then something caught his eye. A bright purple store with flashing lights. He looked in the window and saw a cutout of Shandi, causing him to flush lightly. I've never seen a woman dressed like that before, he thought. There sure was a lot of purple in there. Maybe it was the thing to wear here? Kanji had his yellow shirt poking out, so maybe he should swap out.

I wonder if they take yen here. He entered the store. He didn't see anyone. "Um, you open?" Kanji asked.

Kinzie wasn't much of a fighter. She could fight, don't get her wrong, FBI training and paranoia can push you to make drastic steps to ensure your own safety, but she decided the front lines should be left to the others. And with Oleg down there, there was of course very little to worry about in the means of something storming the castle, er...penthouse. She took the elevator back up, because someone needed to figure out what was going on, and she really didn't want to get shot at or anything to day. Not when there was so much to learn from this mess! She hoped it was Doomsday, because then she could rub it in her former colleagues and Angels face for doubting her that it would happen.

Upon reaching the penthouse again, Kinzie tossed aside her beloved shotgun and dove for her even more beloved laptop. She was more of a support role, and what better way to give support then to help her boss get a grasp of the situation? Opening up a few camera feeds, some on the street and some here at the Saints HQ, she pulled out a bluetooth headset from her pocket and attached it to her ear. Cellphones are so last century. She called Boss while studying the laptops screen. Whatever was going on, it was complete anarchy. Well...more anarchy then what usually gos on in this city, and the only people she saw alive or not about to die were her co-workers on the ground floor. The building shook a few times from the explosions, but it would take much more then that to break away from her computer. It's amazing what the girl can tune out.

"Hey, Boss, can you hear me? If so, you still haven't thrown out your phone." She's surprised the police haven't tried to trace and ambush him with that phone he has. But then again, they're too scared to try.

At first, Kinzie could only see more or less what the Boss was seeing from his perspective on the ground - utter chaos and panic in the streets. Although the most violent of the tremors had died down, there were still several places along Steelport's skyline that were laced with pillars of smoke, fires, and emergency helicopters zipping about. Sirens could be heard echoing from the suburban north sector of the city to the heavily industrial western portion.

Finally, though, the ex-FBI agent caught a glimpse on the city's southern cameras that would give her pause: the bridges to Arapice Island had been lowered, and so the zombies were beginning to escape the quarantined island and spread into the other parts of the city. People were immediately beginning to run for their lives, but you can only run for so long...

---------

After Kanji spoke, a man slowly peeked from behind the counter, dressed roughly like Pierce. Apparently Pierce had some fanboys after all.

"Wh-what the hell?" The man's fear seemed to be trumped by shock. "You ain't wearin' Saints' colors, but you gotta be one if you're crazy enough to go clothes shopping when it's World War f***in' III out there? Only Saints do s*** like that."

His eyes went outside for a moment, and he began to see a lot more people running in a single direction than before. He sighed.

"Just make it fast, okay? I wanna lock this place up before s*** really hits the fan!"

It was a dark day indeed when a Planet Saints closed its doors.

Kanji looked outside. "Yeah... they're pretty scared alright, but it's just the ground shaking. These buildings are made to take more of a hit than that."

He pulled a purple shirt off a rack and flopped it on the counter. "You all don't get earthquakes around here?"

He dug around in his pockets and found his old bag of yen. More people ran past the storefront window. "Eeeeeh, crybabies" Kanji grimaced, turning his eyes from the window to the counter. "You take yen, right."

Boss was just about to respond to Kenzie in a surprisingly calm fashion when the bridge to Arapice lowered. That section of the city...nation...whatever... was closed down to contain the "mysterious" zombie threat that the boss had no correlation to in regards to its even more "mysterious" beginnings. The Saints didn't need to spend their time defending themselves morally, anyways. Defending Steelport was their number one priority.

After all, zombies always went for the hookers and drug abusers first...and those were the Saints' number one customers! There was no time to waste. With another cock of his pistol and a cigarette firmly in his mouth, the Boss started a somewhat-aggressive jog towards the bridge and screaming civilians.

He enjoyed the hands on approach, even if he knew his Saints could deal with the zombie and reality-shattering problem. Right?

Kinzie was slightly annoyed her boss hadn't answered his phone. Maybe he did throw it out, she didn't know. What she did know is that Steelports tourism industry was running rampant across the rest of the city, and that was not a good thing. She delved into the cities power system, which she was graciously given access to by Burt Reynolds, saving her the 10 seconds it would take to hack into it herself. With her Boss not answering, she decides to leave a message.

"Hey, I don't know if you noticed, but the zombies got loose. Try not to kill too many of them, 'kay? I'll try to see if I can raise the bridges from here." Kinzie hoped that knucklehead would get her message, because if the bridges were deliberately sabotaged then it would probably require some manual labor to get them back up again, and as much as she would like to annoy Boss by making him run across the city and see what the problem was, there was simply no time. This was a problem that needed to be dealt with sooner, rather then later. So she focused on seeing if she could access the bridge controls from her laptop with a deathly serious look on her face. Computers are srs bznss.

The clerk raised an eyebrow when Kanji asked about them accepting yen. He looked as if the boy had spat on the Saints' insignia or something; he rubbed his temples for a moment, and looked like he was about to speak when suddenly the glass doors at the entrance of the store shattered.

"What the hell-"

Before the clerk could finish, a couple of men jumped through the newly-opened doorway, looking as if they were running for their lives as they stumbled and ran into the interior of the clothing store. On their heels was a duo of zombies, groaning and shambling after the men. Both zombies didn't have shoes, but didn't at all seem fazed as they stepped all over the broken glass from the storefront.

"F*** it, if you can get out of here in one piece, you can keep whatever the hell you want, kid. I'm gettin' the hell outta here!" The shopkeep said and began to run out of the back.

As one of the fleeing men who had broken the glass had used a manhole cover to do so. As he ran by Kanji, he dropped it in favor of picking up the pace as he followed the clerk through the back of the store.

------

Boss strolled and jogged through large droves of screaming people and squealing cars. He crossed through several intersections and down a few alleys before reaching one of the larger sources of distress - a huge number of zombies had gathered in the small park near Loren Square, and were chasing anyone unlucky enough to walk by. Worse yet, the poor squirrels and birds that had made the small plaza their home were being feasted upon... and turning into zombies themselves!

A group of Saints rolled up not long after Boss arrived, and they formed up behind their purple-clad leader. The fight was about to be on.

------

Kinzie actually encountered some... resistance when she tried to get into the bridge controls. While it had appeared that the lowering of the bridges had been a fluke, the resistance in getting back into them was not. It seemed that an expert hacker had put up a number of fire walls and encryption to slow her progress. The strange thing was, the algorithms and speed bumps seemed... familiar somehow.

It was only now that Boss realized his phone had been vibrating for the past minute. Considering his options of who would be messaging him at a time like this, the Boss could only assume it was Kenzie. Ten seconds of intense concentration and reading through her message later, and he found himself correct, though he stopped reading the messages she had sent him after losing his focus. There was too much reading and not enough action going on.

A nearby explosion brought his attention back to the very action he was craving. He had apparently been doing that bad habit of his where he checked his phone's messages while running and not realizing where he was...at least until the previously mentioned explosion shook him out of his state. He would work on his attention span....later. For now, violence was needed!

And violence did happen! No sooner than had the Saints drove up in their car, an assumption by Boss that the ominous skies above Steelport weren't grabbing the attention of all the normal Saints, than did Boss somehow pull out his gun once again. Not only were zombies of the normal type running all over Loren Square, there were birds and squirrels too! Squirrels!

"I hate squirrels.....alright ladies, gentlemen. Strap up and let's get to business." As he pointed his hand forward in a dramatic fashion, several Saints moved towards the zombie. Since there were no specific orders given other than "get to business", whatever the Saints were going to do to combat the zombies was entirely up to the individual. Boss preferred running ahead of them all, facing the zombified squirrels, birds, and people head on.

"By the way!" He yelled to his Saints as he neared a group likely running towards him. "Aim for the head, and if they keep moving after their head's been blown off, aim for the limbs! Just trust me on this one, I learned it from a game!"

Kinzie gave her computer the dirtiest look. The familiarity of this system seemed....uncanny. Who was it though? She figured out the Deckers patterns pretty solidly in the past, and besides, she wouldn't see little boy Matt standing up to her or Boss anytime soon. It could be STAG, or a few other people she ran across, hell, it could even be the FBI. She really wished she kept more tabs on these things, stupid stupid dumb! How could she be so careless?

Regardless, she needed to get the bridges down, and she doubted that anyone would be fighting her on the other end with the zombies running around, but she scrubbed to see if there would be a tracer, just because her nature wouldn't allow her for someone to learn her location, no matter what, so she'd just upload some spam to cover her tracks if that was the case. Even if there was one or not, she still went to work, and it shouldn't take too long. Kinzie could hack the Pentagon if she wanted, after all, it's not like a few encrypted files and nodes and a few firewalls would stop her.

She tried to crack through any trace of a file she could find, hoping to find the application that would allow her to set the bridge(s) up, and even if it was unlikely, maybe even find a little indication of who or what would put up aforementioned defenses. Obstruction of Saint activities usually leads to beating, mortal wounds, death, forced therapy, and autographs, so she pitied the poor soul that tried to hinder her progress.

Kanji's attention turned to the store front as the glass shattered. He barely registered a thought wondering why they broke the glass when the door was open before he saw zombies. He took a step back, that same side of his body jerking back with his foot.

"Infected? I thought they were all wiped out!" Kanji exclaimed. He quickly ran over what they had been taught in Garden when they learned about the Infected. Their fluids spread the virus. Gotta make sure I cover my face for protection. He reached into his pocket and then quickly donned the glasses that Teddie had made for him to see through the fog with. There was no fog here, but it would keep splattering blood out of his eyes. Kanji grabbed the shirt he had put on the counter and was going to wrap it around his face to protect his mouth, but the zombies were coming. Instead, he flopped the shirt over his shoulder, as the store clerk had promised him free stuff.

The sound of the manhole cover spiraling on the tile floor could barely be heard over the shouting from outside. Before it could come to a stop, Kanji grabbed the edge of it with one hand. As he swung the manhole cover, he held it with both hands for greater power.

"THIS IS GONNA GET MESSY!"

Gunfire erupted in the park as the Saints opened fire on the zombies. Walking corpses, both human and animal alike, were riddled with bullets as the gangsters brought their collective arms to bear. Within a few seconds, the frontline of the zombie horde resembled red holey cheese, and a few puddles of red. Still, more undead continued to press on, and civilians continued to flee.

Considering Boss ran ahead of the other Saints, he would be the first to see a large pick-up truck barreling through the park toward them at high speed. Some of the Saints yelled out and tried to chuck grenades at the rampaging vehicle, but it was moving too fast. Suddenly, it slammed into a tree, and a large, brutish zombie went flying from it straight toward the line of Saints. It was a zombified Oleg clone, and it didn't look happy.

------

After scrubbing the system, Kinzie found no tracers, but she DID finally find out who was obstructing her - it was indeed the Deckers, and although Matt's expertise didn't seem to be involved, the Decker signature firewalls were indeed the things that had been keeping her from getting to the bridge controls. Apparently someone had gotten some of the hackers to go rogue; whoever it was must've had a lot of leverage to make them cross their leader, and even moreso the face off against Kinzie without him.

Sure enough, Kinzie finally broke through and got the bridges to begin to rise. Right as they reached the half-way point, approximately three terabytes worth of junk data and porn flooded Kinzie's system, slowing her progress down to a crawl. If it wasn't for her back up servers, she would've have been out of business for sure. Be that as it may, she would need to do something about that setback before continuing to raise the bridges.

-------

As the manhole cover came down hard against the zombie's face, time seemed to slow for a moment to all who may have been looking. In but a second, the zombie's entire face seemed to re-arrange, its neck snapped, and it's jaw shattered, all before the creature's entire rotting body went twirling to the floor. More cracks and bone-crushing sounds could be heard as the zombie hit the ground, falling limp and dead like a corpse should be.

The other zombie tripped over the first one, and began to crawl toward Kanji. It gasped and moaned as it shambled across the floor, trying to claw out at him even though he was still several feet away. It was hungry.

[I'm just kinda posting whenever here, guys. No need to wait for me.]

All the bones crunching... it was nothing like fighting a shadow. A shadow, no matter its form, just felt like attacking a punching bag. This... zombie had been human once, and although Kanji had fought people before, he had never... killed a person before.

Kanji pulled the manhole cover back to his side and stared wide-eyed at the zombie he had felled and the one crawling towards. All his bravado was gone. "It-it isn't a person!" he said wildly, remembering what he had learned from class. "Whatever made it a person is long gone!"

The skin on the zombie's face was falling away, and yet it still crawled forward, looking at him.

Get it together, man! This is no time to wuss out! he yelled at himself. But in his head, he only heard the bones crunching over and over again. He closed his eyes and bunched a fist against his head. His lips drew tight as his heartpicked.

"SHIT!" he yelled. THIS IS NOTHING LIKE THE SIMULATIONS! Still clutching the manhole cover like a safety blanket, he turned and run in the same direction as the other man out towards the back of the store.

(( But...that's what a gentleman does. ))

Kinzie was tempted to throw the laptop out of the window in frustration when she learned that is was the Deckers again, but she would never do that to her baby. This source seemed to be new, so none of her and her bosses sabotage of their systems would've mattered. She was tempted to disregard the whole bridge thing for a moment so she can pinpoint an exact location of where the Deckers were at, but that would take time, and time isn't really what she had in quantity at the moment.

But then she remembered the mass amount of porn and junk that was really being a bother to her at the moment. If she was at her warehouse, this wouldn't be a problem, she could all just send it to one of her four or five other computers there, one of which being the one Boss stole from STAG, but her she had less options. No ones computer here would be able to handle that much junk and be able to take it all in so quickly, and she gently bopped herself on the forehead a few times with her fist for not being prepared for this sort of thing.

But then she remembered something, all those Decker hubs that the Boss did help Kinzie break into, this computer still could access them. Grinning , but still wary, she made it so that the junk data would be sent to those places, any ones not destroyed in the earthquakes and rioting, that is. With a press of a button, she started uploading. If her luck wasn't horrendous, then she could get back to work, and maybe figure out where her rivals were hiding.

While she was at it, she decided to call up Pierce, see how the rest of the gang was doing downstairs, since the traffic cams would be laggy as hell if she tried watching them now. Hopefully the wanna-be playboy would pick up the phone if he wasn't to busy shooting something, being dead, dying, or shooting something while dying.

(Oh derp, well in that case...)

The Saints would have celebrated the redeaths of the zombie horde via some Saints Flo and the mandatory well-choreographed Carltons in the street, as they did the deaths of any of their enemies these days, were it not for the angry Oleg clone coming their way. The sight of the monster man made them think of many things. Like how to deal with an angry zombified clone rushing towards you after it just chucked a truck or something crazy like that, right? Others thought about ensuring the survival of their homies, but shit, we know how that works, right?

So what was Boss thinking, some of the Saints wandered as they faced their fearless leader ahead of them. We already know, man. He was thinking about the important stuff, ya know? I mean, he was the boss after all and his name was even Boss, so surely he knew what to do, right?

What did Pierce call them again? Bricks....Johns..... The Oleg clone was closing in on his position and Boss wasn't giving a single damn thought towards the rampaging zombie. Brutes! That's right! They're-Oh shit! As the Boss thought that last thought, the zombie was already too close to him to react appropriately. I mean, the man was literally a few dropkicks away from that Oleg Zombie fool and he was thinking about the name? Fool had it coming, really. On top of things, a damn tree was coming their way! This was getting too wack, yo.

"Shit! Move!" Boss yelled to the Saints that were backing him up. Not that it did any good, though. Many of them had already thrown their grenades and shit at the Zombie Oleg, which didn't really help the situation at all. Crazy, impulsive fools couldn't do much about the tree that was coming their way, and only Boss and a few of them reacted in enough time to get out of its path. Boss faced the problem of the aforementioned Zombie Oleg closing in on him, though.

The Leader of The Saints knew he didn't have enough time to get his ass-whoopin' shotgun out, nor did he have it with him in the one time it would have been really useful. Damn, I gotta think this stuff through next time. Poor fool knew a good way to kill a Brute, especially so close, but knew it would require him to get just a bit closer.

Without a moment to spare, his homies that were still up and not-brutally-smashed-by-a-treeish started opening fire on the chest of the Brute Zombie to give their Boss some backup fire. They knew Boss was in the line of fire....but they also knew that crazy fool preferred it that way. Meanwhile, Boss would stand ready with his pistol out, hoping the Brute would pick him up for a kill.

This is ****ing crazy!

The Brute seemed to simply shrug off the hail of bullets striking and embedding themselves into his chest. In fact, the decaying clone seemed to take some sort of sadistic pride in how little the gunfire seemed to effect it as it roared out at the Saints still standing. It's mad charge continued as this occurred, and it wasn't long before the brute was upon the Boss.

A few wild swings with huge arms with Boss' way, followed by an attempted bite. Finally, the mammoth zombie went in for the grapple, trying to first grab Boss with a huge, rotting hand, but then moved in to try and bear hug the Saints' leader. All the while, flesh peeled away from the Oleg clone's face and body, decomposing quickly because of the amount of gunfire slamming into it.

------

As Kinzie's re-routing process began, she would hear the sound of her phone ringing as she tried to call Pierce. Four rings went by before there was an answer, but it wasn't Pierce.

"What's up, Kinzie?" Shaundi's voice blared through the phone as gunfire could be heard in the background. "Pierce can't talk and shoot. Thought you knew that."

"Shut the f*** up, Shaundi!" Pierce could be heard in the background, followed by more shots. "I'd like to see you talk on a cellphone while using a rocket launcher!" Just then, a loud boom could be heard, followed by some yelling.

"Holy shit Pierce, I'm kinda on the phone, you know!" Shaundi yelled, but her voice was slightly muffled as if she had tried to cover the receiver. "Anyway, how's the hackerchick stuff going? Do we know what bastards are behind all this chaos yet? My trigger finger's getting itchy for something other than rioters and zombies."

Finally, the bridges continued to rise, and soon, the quarantined island was again... quarantined. With the flood of zombie reinforcements cut off, it would soon be time to clean up.

-----------

Tearing out through the back of Planet Saints, Kanji would find himself in a shaded alleyway. To his left was more alley, which led down the entirety of the block and ended with a chain-link fence overlooking a power plant. To his right was only a few paces of alley before the sidewalk and streets, allowing him to see that all hell was still breaking loose. People were still running and screaming, and zombies were still chasing them. It appeared, strangely enough, that although some of the fleeing people had wisely taken to vehicles, some of the zombies had as well, leading to high-speed zombie chases and people being scared more crapless than usual.

He could either see what was further down the alleyway, or hit the streets again.

Kanji bust into the alley panting and blinking rapidly, BUT HE WASN'T CRYING. He gulped down the fresh air and looked around while trying to control his breathing. It seemed safe further down the alley, but people were running for their lives on the street.

Okay... think... think... What would Naoto do? While the alley was zombie free, it only had two ways out. If he got chased by zombies and there were zombies on the other side of the fence, he was done for. No one would fault him for fighting more zombies but...

Kanji looked down at the manhole cover, at the blood that was still on it. They're not people... They're not people... he repeated. Headmistress says... Mercy doesn't do anyone any good if it ends up with more people dead.

As he looked at the street, he saw a car speed past. Soon after it was a swerving one. Kanji squinted. Driving zombies? That wasn't ever in any of the movies.

"Ok..."

Kanji set the manhole cover down. Then he tied his free/stolen shirt around his face. Leaning over to pick the cover back up, he shouted with a muffled voice, "TIME TO BE A HERO!", and ran out onto the street to KICK SOME ROTTING ASS!

It was one of those times again. Those times where Boss found himself smacked clearly in the face by one of the Brutes' large swings. It was both a good thing and a bad thing, really. Why, you ask? Well, the crazy Saints' leader was now seeing everyone covered in red, and I don't mean blood. I mean, like, with those games where if you're shot a lot and suddenly it looks like every blood vessel around your eyeball has popped and you just see everything covered in blood. Yeah, 'cuz that's what Boss is seeing the world like right now. He was sent a good distance, too, which is why him getting his ass handed to him was a good thing!

See, he at least avoided the zombie bite that followed. He didn't want to become a zombie anytime soon! Maybe when he was older, since it seemed a better life than being shot by a rival gang member...if that could happen, but yeah, nobody wants to eat brains when they're at their prime. So at least he avoided that and the subsequent hits by being tossed around by the first big punch.

The red that covered everyone wasn't gone fast enough for Boss to get away from the grapple however. Thankfully, Boss had been in this situation numerous times, including one where the Brute was in a gimp costume and had a Penetrator and......

Anyways, he quickly rose his ass-whoopin', banger droppin', professional pistol and loaded the Brute's face with bullets. All up close and as professionally as Boss could, given the situation. Why professionally? His Saints were still nearby and if Boss dropped his cool and panicked, they would panic worse and get themselves killed. Right now, all Boss needed them to do was keep shooting the Brute and for him to keep its nasty attention on him.

"I've been in worse, ya freak! Now die, die, die, die, die!" With each die frantically yelled, a bullet entered the Brute's face. It was the same way Boss had killed numerous Brutes, and it felt damn good to do it too. Even if he failed, he was gonna go out in style, like a true boss would!

I wish I could say I was getting too old for this shit....but....eh, it's a lifestyle.

"Get ready to sigh, because it's the Deckers." Kinzie paused to let Shaundi go ahead and complain about the subject if she wanted to. "I'm trying to trace their IP address right now, when I find them, I'll tell you where to go." Kinzie said into her headset, while indeed trying to trace where the Deckers signal was originating from. Progress was slow, but increasing steadily with the mass amount of random bollocks leaving Kinzie's laptop. She still had to close some pop-ups of misleading advertisements, some really disturbing fetish and porn sites (plush rump?), and dumb internet memes, quickly decided to mute her computer, getting tired of hearing girls moaning to Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up.

She wondered how Boss was doing, but then remembered she's not his goddamn babysitter, he can take care of himself, she had to worry about those guys under her trying to prevent this building from being raided. When she was done finding the Deckers, she'd try finding that reaper drone control Boss usually left next to the video games on the coffee table.

Reaper drone control....who the hell talks like that?

Finally, after what seemed to be three whole clips into the Brute's face, the towering monster of rotting meat yelled out in agony, stepped back, dropped Boss, and fell to the ground with a resounding thud. Its lifeless body poured blood and rotting flesh out onto the grassy floor of the park, and all of the other zombies lingering around were quickly mopped up by the Saints. It seemed that - even if it had been the 100th time - seeing their leader take down such a large, imposing foe still filled the gangsters with the motivation and battlefury they needed to get the job done, and that's what they did.

"Nice one, boss," one of the Saints said, and tossed him a cellphone, "It's Josh- I mean 'Nyte Blade'."

"It's me..." there was a dramatic pause, "...and I've found something you might be interested in. A foe you thought long gone has returned, and he seems to be behind all of these prob-"

"Would~you~cut~the~vampire~hunter~shit~" Zimos' voice cut Josh's off, taking control of the phone. "It's~Zimos~and~Killbane~is~back~in~town~"

"Hey, cut that out!" Josh's voice resounded, and there was the sound of a struggle. "Meet us at Angel's old gym. That's where someone said they saw him."

-------

"The Deckers!? What the f***?!" Shaundi began cursing, and seemed to throw Pierce the phone back. She could be heard shouting in the background as she unloaded a few clips on the remaining zombies.

"Didn't they agree to leave town?" Pierce asked now that he had the phone back, "What the hell are they doing back here?!"

"Perhaps it would be best to let Kinzie track them down first, and then we can find out for ourselves," Oleg's voice could be heard in the background.

As if on cue, her tracing processes finally broke through enough junk data and random proxy routing to pinpoint where all the signals were coming from. It appeared that the Deckers' transmission was coming from... the water?!

Upon bringing up a satellite, Kiznie would find that a large boat had taken position in the bay behind the wreckage of the STAG command carrier. It had used the wreck's large size and fallout to mask its location, and it appeared that many of the Deckers' most talented hackers were aboard based on the tags of their IPs.

-------

Running out into the sunny street, Kanji would immediately see more people running from zombies. Immediately to his left, however, he would see what appeared to be the car chase he had just caught a glimpse of, and it was about to take an ugly turn. The car containing the helpless citizens had swerved around a blown-up Porsche, and in doing so found itself about to slam into a light pole. There was a whirling skid followed by a loud crunch as the car made impact, causing the front portion of the vehicle to bend around the lamp post. Considering the zombies weren't great drivers, they didn't stop, and slammed right into the back of the newly-crashed car.

After a few moments, the people in the car began to yell out, struggling to open their doors but unable to because of the damage from the two crashes. Meanwhile, the three zombies in the car behind them shambled out and began to make their way toward the vehicle prison they had just inadvertently created. If Kanji didn't step in, those zombies would have no trouble getting the trapped people...
