Shouto stared listlessly at the wall of his locker room. After all of he, Momo and his father were brought to the Multiverse, it really shouldn't have been surprising to hear that other classmates of his came along as well. It filled him with a little dread that their world could possibly be in even more peril from the League of Villains, but an optimistic part of him reminded him that it was likely they too were rifted. So, that was why they all needed to make the most of this opportunity. Get stronger, break their limits, achieve their peak before the Villains could... and maybe, if they could go back, they would be that much more prepared to face them. Nevertheless, this was a fight he was looking forward to... again. He never wanted this rematch more in his life, and though he wouldn't show it outwardly, the thought that it was about to happen stoked his inner fire. And as that was the case, Shouto got up and faced a conveniently prepared punching bag before his lips curled into a confident smile. He reeled back his left fist to let the flames build up around it, then delivered a powerful punch straight at the middle of the sturdy sandbag. The flurry of embers danced and scorched the bag as he pulled back his hand, a pure black print of his fist now visible on his target alongside living flames spiraling from it. "I'm ready, Midoriya." The words left his mouth just as the gate began to open for him to exit. With this signal given, he turned away from the results of his power and walked out into the wide open field of the Coliseum. His eyes probed around the crowd for a few moments, finally landing on two young women right at the front row, one of which was waving her hand at him as excitedly as her shy self could muster. Momo seemed a lot more enthusiastic about this fight than Makoto was, mostly from having witnessed its precursor's result in her own world. To Makoto, this was more of a way to actually see her new classmate in action than anything... though if they had told her the truth about their powers then this would definitely be a fight to behold. |

Izuku had been sitting in the locker room on the other side of the arena. The muffled cheers of crowd outside, this anxious feeling before the match-- it was like he was reliving that moment back during the UA tournament. And his opponent made it all that more surreal. He glanced down at his open hand, watching it tremble lightly from a mixture of nervousness and excitement. The scars on his hand served as a reminder of his goals and his purpose. He curled his fingers into a tight fist, grinning widely. Standing up, he heard his name called by the enthusiastic announcer. This time, he was stronger. Just as he told Shouto to come at him with everything, he too was going to go all out. He had grown so much since then, and he wanted to show his classmate the fruits of that sweat and blood. Stepping out into the light, Izuku's grin was skewed from his anxious excitement. His opponent looked just as calm and collected as he remembered when meeting him for the first time in the Multiverse. He let his eyes peel away to the stands, his own eyes falling on Momo. Though he hadn't really gotten to know Makoto outside of exchanging pleasantries, he did notice another girl that sat to Momo's side. Tsuyu had given both fighters a wave of her own. Looking back to Shouto, Izuku exhaled, shaking loose the anxiety. "I've been waiting for this, Todoroki-kun. Remember, I said I was gonna surpass you. Make sure to come at me with everything you've got, alright?" he chuckled, the air starting to swirl around him. Small crackles of electricity danced around Izuku's body as he readied himself. This time there wasn't a ring-out rule, or someone to stop their fight. It was going to all or nothing! "One For All: Full Cowling!" Izuku looked to his friend, his expression becoming more serious in nature, but still managing to hold a slight grin as he waited to see what Todoroki would do. |

Of course, when Deku came out as well he was met with a similarly warm reception from Momo, who turned to wave at him and began to cheer for her two friends. Makoto couldn't help but find the reaction endearing, seeing as the other girl was quite eager to become friends with her once the Persona User suggested the idea to her. But, the main attraction was the two young men staring each other down in the arena. Todoroki tightened his fists and let out a cold breath as the ground around his right side began frosting over. "I'm aware, Midoriya, but I wouldn't be a great Hero if I just let you do that. I'll be the one to surpass All Might..." Shouto narrowed his eyes and bent his knees into a fighting stance, his left arm igniting into a large wave of flames as he steeled himself. "So I hope you're prepared to lose this one again. Show me your real power, Midoriya!" The usually stoic Shouto let his inner fire take over as Deku's words finally clicked inside him. This wasn't a fight he could afford to simply let him win, not if he was going to carry on Endeavor's legacy... not if he was going to become the Number One Hero himself. With his full power this time. He had seen Deku's speed before, and knew not to underestimate it. Instead, he needed to be faster, or at least keep up... And that's why he placed his right palm to the ground, creating a curved path of slippery frost aiming straight at Deku, while his left palm faced behind him to fire off a stream of flames that carried him forward along this path like a jet engine, perfectly curving along as the path was quickly created in front of him. When it was about to reach his opponent, Shouto placed more power into his left hand, creating a ramp of ice that propelled him up into the sky. "Icicle Crash!" A new move, Todoroki's right leg formed a solid spear of ice over itself as he shot himself at Deku using his left hand's jet-like propelling. Like a giant icicle being shot down from the heavens, Todoroki would aim his frosted foot at Deku's stomach to both knock him down and away to the far reaches of the arena. Regardless of the outcome, though, when he landed he'd swing his right palm outwards to make the cold spread around him and create a wall between them. Naturally, the ice over his right side would melt away as the flames around his left arm flared up once more. |

Izuku had wondered if Shouto would attempt a strategy similar to last time, but instead of a wave of ice, he had created a pathway. He silently chastised himself for thinking his opponent would try to fight like last time. Of course, Izuku would have to switch it up too. Last time they fought, Izuku was able to use Souto's weakness of using his ice too much to land a few hits, but now that wouldn't be possible-- nor would he want it to be. Deku let out a small gasp as Shouto shot into the air, and began to come crashing down with an icicle in tow. With a swift movement, Izuku had jumped back, soaring through the air as the icicle crashed against the ground where he once was. Watching the ice wall rise up, he got an idea. Izuku reoriented his body so he'd land feet-first against the arena's wall, and after a second of charging his Quirk, the boy shot like a bullet back toward his opponent. Shouto's vision was obstructed by the wall-- he probably didn't see Izuku's movement due to setting up a defense to soften a possible frontal Smash. Izuku had shot himself just to the side of where Shouto's ice wall had stopped forming. If Shouto had turned to look, he'd see Izuku with a furiously determined expression with his arm extended, his middle finger pressed tightly against his thumb. A familiar sight accompanied by a familiar roar. "SMAAAASH!!" As Deku flicked his finger, the power of his Quirk erupted. Not to the extent of a 100%, but given how close they were, it would probably pack a wallop all the same. Izuku had been blown back by the force of his own attack with little way to land safely given that he was mid-flight, leaving him skidding across the ground and coming to a stop. He managed to bring himself back up to his feet, letting out a ragged pant. His finger, unlike last time, wasn't broken. Thankfully. "D-Did I get him...?" Izuku muttered. He knew it probably wasn't enough to beat Todoroki, but hopefully he had managed to cause some damage at least. Edited by Izuku Midoriya, May 10 2018, 01:27 PM.
