This was just too much. Out of the places Jeanne had visited thus far, this world was by far the most confusing. It managed to be both the most modern, yet the strangest place she had ever set foot in. She still could not wrap her head around the fact that this was a world that co-existed with beasts, which made it... not precisely the best target for her first grand conquest. Still, if she could manage to persuade the dragons here to follow her... she smirked at the thought, the visions inside her mind a ghastly thing indeed. This day found the servant in a different region from where she had first touched down-- previously, she had been attempting to snake her way into Blackthorn city, but had found little opportunity to work around the snotty bitch of a "gym leader" that tended to lurk around. That suited Jeanne just fine-- she was patient, she could wait. Today, she found herself surveying what the locals had called "The Lake of Rage." It was no surprise that such a place had interested the Avenger, and today, it appeared she had a companion. Standing next to her, looking bored and equally out of place, stood a tall man with a long, dark blue mullet. He had slightly tanned skin and crimson eyes, with odd markings underneath them. He looked equally as odd as she in casual clothing, choosing a black motif, much like Jeanne's. He gazed out at the water's surface and scoffed. As he spoke, it became plain that his teeth were sharp and pointed. "Oi, crazy. Why, exactly, are we out here staring at water? Don't tell me this is part of your grand conquest, or whatever," he grumbled, crossing his arms and staring over at a preoccupied Jeanne. "Thinking, you great lout. I came here for the dragons, but something is bothering me. I sense mana. Surely you can sense it to. That, and something... else, lurking here. Pay attention, and you might catch it, too," she snapped back, squinting her eyes into the distance. "Whatever," he snarled, turning to stare at whatever had caught her interest. If there really was another servant around here, it sure as hell didn't concern him. Edited by Jeanne D'Arc (Alter), Apr 28 2018, 07:06 PM.

On the other side of the Lake, another out of place looking man wandered as well- though one whose strangeness quite differed from that of Jeane and her companion. Where both of them at least had the capacity to appear totally human, the figure snarling and raging on the opposite side of 'The Lake of Rage' lacked that luxury by dint of the visible black horn escaping the nape of his neck, dark gold eyes, and the glowing tatoo's upon his body that coursed consistently with a dark green demonic energy. The Demifiend was ever the type to stand out, all in all. So it's likely he was spotted as soon as he erupted out of the tall grass on the other side. Moreso when he turned back towards it, yelling to the heavens- "Godamn fucking swarms of rat things- you don't even have any Macca! Fuck off!" - In loud, angry, rebellious sounding Japanese, even as a mote of energy gathered around his hand, charged and fueled for a moment. His skin seemed to almost darken, as the light on his body grew brighter before erupting out through his hand as he slammed it down, crying out- 'Gaea Rage'. And it was after that point that failing to notice him shifted from hard, to impossible. The flash of energy leveled a zone of grass, burning it away and leaving a smoking crater where it once was as the vast release of demonic energy and magical force erupted out with reckless and wild abandon. He panted softly a few moments after exhausting himself with the attack, and then turned to sit down by the side of the lake with a mighty 'harumph' of petulant aggravation. "Stupid weird not-earth world... stupid multiverse bullshit... stupid God, kicking me here.... stupid Lucifer, letting him kick me here..." The petulant grumbling continued even as the youth stared into the Lake of Rage- ignorant to it's name, yet certainly appropriate to it. |

"You know most people would just walk around the lake if they couldn't find a boat." Asuna deadpanned as she flitted through the air on a pair of transluscent blue wings, blue hair fluttering in the breeze. "Just going across is faster, and we both have the capability to do so." Saber replied, her footsteps planted firmly on the surface of the lake as the pair made their way across the lake directly in between the Demifiend and Jeanne. "...technically true." Asuna sighed, glancing over as Demifiend unleashed his explosive attack. "I guess at least this way we don't have to deal with... whatever the hell that maniacs problem is. Or..." She glanced over to the other side of the lake where Jeanne was looking directly at them, given her ability to sense Saber's presence. Saber stopped. "...I said we probably ought to avoid them, but now that we are closer... I think I recognize this mana. We may be better served confronting them after all. If nothing else, our Master may wish to know of their presence." "Hey who are you calling my master, she's just my boss." Asuna objected as her companion took a turn toward Jeanne and Lancer, and she followed suit. "Is that not the same thing but in cruder vernacular?" Saber inquired, her otherwise stoic expression gaining a raised brow for a few moments. "J-just shut up, we're almost to this 'friend' of yours." Asuna crossed her arms as the pair approached the shore, refusing to look at her companion. |

As Jeanne watched the angry one across the lake, mouth drawn into a hard line, she snapped her fingers at the man beside her. He grumbled, standing up immediately, understand what it was she would ask of him. Jeanne did not have to verbally communicate her wishes, only point to Shin across the lake, and gesture. Cu grumbled something about a collar and it being too tight, but complied with the woman's wishes regardless, rocketing off around the lake to intercept the screaming.... thing. Ignoring whatever was about to happen to his associate, Cu stalked up behind Shin, gritting his teeth against all the hollering he was doing. "Oi! Quiet down, you're gonna scare off whatever stupid beasts lurk around here, an' we've been waiting a long time just to have your loud ass ruin everything," he snarled, jabbing his jagged spear into the ground. The berserker eyed Shin with no amusement, wondering what the hell he could possibly be if he weren't a servant. Meanwhile, Jeanne's eyes turned to the two that approached her, cautious shock washing over her face. That familiar face, with the pallid hair and golden eyes to match hers... no, it couldn't be. It was not possible. Surely, she had remained by master Ritsuka... Jeanne's eyes flitted to the one accompanying her, frowning. Only one person in this group of intruders exuded mana, and their involvement seemed fishy. Crossing her arms deftly across her chest, Jeanne awaited the two to arrive, keeping her eyes locked onto Saber. |

The petulant seventeen year old Fiend blinked a few times as his petulant raging was interrupted. Now it's true to say that over his many trials and travails, the Demifiend learned self control and discipline. It's equally true to say that he matured and grew as a person over his long quest, and was generally known for his stoic and controlled persona. But he's spent several months wandering through this strange and foreign realm without any clue of how to get back, and he is a being of chaos and wild energy. A demon is a demon, no matter how much of themselves they might like to think is still human. It is this that must be taken into account when looking at the being's actions- and which those present were ignorant of, for the most part. The pixie sleeping on Shin's shoulders awoke first, stirred by the eruptions of energy and grumbling and finally pushed into full consciousness by Cu's approach. She turned and tapped Shin on the shoulder as she sat upright, pointing out the figure's approach to the demonic youth. Now that Cu was closer, he could properly see just what the youth was. The illusion of perhaps just being a pale human boy was broken the instant the Berserker approached the entity, as Shin rose and turned to stare at the man ordering him around. The symbols on his skin, the inhuman pallor of his flesh, and the strange energy radiating out from him in pulsating waves all speak of something not quite human that nonetheless retains the shape of one. The air around him, on his side of the lake, is heavily inundated with that energy as well due to the recent high level release that occurred, Gaea Rage leaving behind telltale energy signatures that will likely linger for days. ". . . Who the hell are you to boss me around, huh? Man, what the fu-" Shin began to rant, before the Pixie sitting on his shoulder patted him on the head, breaking his focus and confusing him for a moment, during which the Faerie whispered something in his ear, before looking at Cu and waving cheerfully. Shin pauses for a moment after hearing the Pixie's words, which have informed him of who the hell he is speaking to. He takes a deep breath, and shakes his head a moment. ". . .Man, why does everyone look different just because I jumped universes. What happened to the armor and the spear, and the boyish fac- no, no . . Don't focus on that, focus on- right. . . Okay, so. Cu'Chulain, what's your problem? What, am I interrupting a hunting trip? Well, fuck. Sorry. But I dunnow why someone with your history'd be wasting time with shitty prey like what's around here anyway. Just overgrown birds and rats. Not a single real threat- just a lot of annoyances, unless you've seen something I haven't 'round here." The youth insists- still grumpy, but apparently confused enough to be polite instead of combative. Edited by Shin Managi, May 17 2018, 04:16 PM.
