A breeze blew through, what was a rare sight in the wasteland, a few trees. Trees of the pined variety, saved from the nuclear hell of the Great War due to their location being quite a bit away from any large cities or towns. It also helped they were hidden slightly by mountains. It was far too calm for what one would normally think of the Wasteland. As expected, the calm was quickly ruined by a blinding light appearing over one of the old docks, and a loud thump following soon after.

"GAAAAAAAH FUCK!"

The Courier writhed around for a moment, slowly rolling off of her back while her face was covered in a mix of agonizing pain and boiling anger. She turned herself onto her chest and got a good view that she had missed the water by just a few feet. But of course, the Transportalponder had fallen into the brown tinted liquid and had more than likely short circuited when it was submerged, more than likely bringing an end to the device's use. The pain in her back slowly calmed down, enough to the point where she could stand herself up in a prone position and feel the cool breeze on her legs and stomach.

Wait, legs?

The stomach made sense, there was quite a tear in her shirt that ran up to her belly button on her left side. Looking down, she realized the true problems that had risen from making such a hasty escape from the Big MT. Sure, she had managed to slip on boots and socks, hell, even a pair of (thankfully the right size) underwear. But no, she had to forget her pants there. No pockets. No belt loops. Many awkward stares were to come from this. She prayed to herself that a raider would run by and try to kill her only for the fact she could loot the pants off their dead body.

'Uhg, actually I'd rather run around butt naked than get Raider stink on me... again,' She thought to herself, grimacing to herself slightly at some of the smells they tended to carry around with them. Standing herself up, she flung her repeater over her shoulder and looked around to get a barring on where she had ended up. Seeing the sights around her, she walked off the dock and into what seemed to be a ruined resort or very small town. Her walking came to a stop after a few minutes when she happened to step on a loose board unintentionally. Looking down, it was quickly shown that it was no ordinary board of wood.

"Glenbrook, Nevada"

Gears turned in her head for a moment before she pointed to the large body of water she had been walking next to. She spoke out loud to herself, "Tahoe!" Once she had stated that, she began to think to herself again while moving her finger slightly up and down in pondering, 'Okay, let's see. If I'm south of Marlette Lake, Carson should be to the North East, same with New Reno if I wanted to walk my ass all the way back up there, but if I'm north of it... Hrmmm, either way if I can find the US-Fifty, I could probably get to Carson in a few hours. Okay, alright. First things first, new clothes, don't need people staring at my abs and crotch like they've never seen another person before.'

Her journey began as she started making her way to a cluster of homes that happened to still be standing. Hopefully no one was there to see her in this sorry state.

'.357 rounds, need more of those too.'

Shin Managi
The Demifiend

And amidst that cluster of homes a noise echoed outwards, breaking the relative stillness of the wastes. A loud crashing noise, followed by a man's voice groaning out in pain, it carried quite well. No doubt the entire town and anything in it was alerted by the pair of loud noises. In that house, Shin Managi, sometimes known as The Demifiend, stirred from where he fell. The portal was unstable, but he supposed it was a better alternative than staying still despite the risks of traveling via cracks in reality.

He slowly rose from where he fell, surveying the dilapidated housing unit he's found himself in, and the shattered table he had fallen through. He groaned aloud at that, wondering where the hell he was now. It looked wildly different from anything on that first world he'd found himself in, but he'd be warned of the multiverse's wide and strange nature enough to not find that too odd- but he has to wonder just where he is, if that's the case.

His bright golden eyes cast about the room for a few moments, as he pushed himself up to stand all the way. Save for the baggy pants and sneakers he wore and a sheathed Katana at his hip, the youth was unclad, leaving his muscular and strangely tattooed torso on full display to any who spot him. A frown painted his features as a sense of nostalgia set in the moment he opened the door and realized that it was not merely this building that was ruined.

His eyes surveyed the ruined wastes around him, the dead village and surrounding terrain, and a shiver ran down his spine. His eyes flicked up for a moment to check for Kagatsuchi, but found it blessedly absent...

But nonetheless, he's found himself amidst the ruins of his homeworld yet again- or at least, a distant mirror to it. A strange pain welled up in the demonic boy's chest, as he founds himself simply staring about, fully exposed, in the middle of the village- ignorant not only to the nearby Courier, but to anything his noisiness might have attracted or awoke.

She didn't miss this, ruins of life that once lived in this part of the world before the war. Making her way to the ruins, she stopped her walking, taking a quick look around at the ruins that had been caused by the bombs dropping in the far past. A small sigh escaped her mouth, at times she wondered how her life would have played out had she not left the comfort of the New California Republic's growing capital city. Before she had been stabbed in the heart and, well, died again, she had rumors that they were actually starting to produce new models of vehicles for citizens to drive in.

Of course that also mean they could easily start producing military vehicles again.

A loud crash from the house to her left caught her attention and caused her to take a quick look at it. The groan the followed was all the prompting she needed to bolt into one of the former buildings, taking cover behind one of the ruined walls. Once out of sight, she peered ever so slightly out from behind the wall to catch a glimpse of what had made the noise. Thankfully, it was not a Deathclaw or some other mutated monstrosity that littered the wasteland. Of course, the sight of a shirtless man with strange tattoos on his body was not an instant relief. Sure, she had seen weirder, yet friendly people in her travels, but she was not about to take that risk and just walk out.

Especially without pants on.

"You a raider, or a wanderer? Or one of those fucking multiversers?" She called out into the house, which thankfully made it seem like her voice was echoing from all around the area.

Shin Managi
The Demifiend

Shin looked over as he heard a voice, and abruptly found himself looking around the area, trying to track it down. The inhuman being straightened out and tensed his posture, as a hand drifted down to the hilt of his recently acquired sword. It's a new acquisition- but he's reasonably confident in his ability if attacked.

"....M'name's Shin. Shin Managi. I guess I fall into that last category, 'till I can get back to my Earth and figure this horseshit out." The young man declared confidently, as his eyes scanned the area and the tattoo's adorning his body pulsed with a strange energy. It was as if his skin darkened to provide contrast even as the marks themselves shone with a pale green light that intensified slowly, before steadily dying back down as he forced himself to calm back down.

"And who're you? I don't much appreciate people hiding from me and tryin' to talk to me at the same time. In fact... it outright pisses me off." He stated brashly as he headed for the door to the room he'd found himself in; recklessly kicking it of it's hinges and pushing outwards, scanning the streets for anyone or anything of note or interest, hoping to hunt down that voice's source.

"So, what's up? Whadaya want?"
