A portal opened up, depositing Axel and Wendy into an area all too familiar too them- the middle of the path leading up to the front door of their cottage. As the portal closed, Alfimi appeared behind the two of them, looking around curiously before playfully shoving Axel. "Is this your home? It looks exactly like the place we just left. Are you sure we didn't get turned around somehow?" Despite the mischievous look in her eyes, her tone was serious. She had heard that the Neilos only had enough power for one jump and her powers weren't strong enough to open up a rift to another universe, let alone transport three people. Axel looked down at Neilos as the gem set into it faded and turned around, looking at the garden. The empty garden confirmed his suspicions. "We're home. Here Wendy, take Neilos. It may be out of power but I can take a look at it." Wendy nodded and quietly took the device from him, silent as she was feeling sick from the jump. Dragon Slayers tend to easily get motion sick and she felt like she was on the verge of throwing up. Axel scanned the area, trying to make out any differences. He wasn't sure if the dimensional teleporter was free of flaws and didn't know what time they had arrived in. It was a miracle that the three of them made it through unscathed. He looked at the door of the cottage and then the flower pots set up haphazardly around the door. Well, those were clearly the flowers Aliasse planted. "I'm not sure how far in the future or past we arrived. Jumps tend to be unstable. If memory serves right, there's a key under the flower pot to the left of the door." He started up the path, followed by Wendy and Alfimi. Lifting up the flower pot, he picked up the key and inserted it into the lock. The lights were off, so he wasn't sure if Aliasse was out running errands or asleep. Opening the door, he stood back to let Alfimi and Wendy in first. Alfimi smiled at him and touched his hand as she passed by him. "Thanks Axel." Axel looked at Wendy and she shook her head. She held up a hand to her mouth. "I'm still feeling a little motion sick. I'll be inside after I get some more fresh air." He just shrugged and turned to enter the cottage. "Take all the time you need. Come in when you're ready." Edited by Axel Almer, Dec 6 2017, 12:44 AM.

Home was a mess. It wasn't a roach motel, and there wasn't any rotting food laying around or anything. But it could probably use a vacuuming, the pillows needed to be put on the couch, and the home, while not exactly a step away from being condemned, probably could do with some serious spring cleaning. In other words, it was basically exactly what you'd think would likely happen if you left Aliasse on her own for a year, and much like her own ability to live in the world: functional enough to be healthy, but not remotely to the point most would be at. Aliasse had been sleeping, considering it wasn't exactly noon. More like 6:30 A.M, local time. Under normal circumstances, she'd be asleep. Not when she'd heard someone talking. Aliasse was a light sleeper by necessity, being a soldier and whatnot. While, 'up' she'd only recalled hearing a voice, without any of its usually details. In her usual blue, cotton pajamas, she quickly but silently grabbed her rifle, and crept out of her bedroom. Odds were, in her mind, that she was dealing with an exceptionally stupid burglar. Probably an easy fight, but there was always the chance they knew what they were getting into. She momentarily looked towards her sleeping Pokemon, but decided not to wake them up. Natalie. unsurprisingly, could be particularly surly when woken up before she was ready. She then crept towards her door, just opening it just enough to peak out of, a quiet creeking noise audible only to the most sensitive of ears. |

Inside the darkened hall, Axel unlaced his boots and took off his jacket, placing them messily in the closet. A glance at the clock in the foyer told him that it was early in the morning and he was too tired to care. Alfimi did the same, throwing in her jacket. Axel rubbed his neck, yawning. "You can use my room Alfimi. I'll just sleep on the sofa. I'll clean out Saber's- Nero's room for you later. Its the room across from the bathroom, on the other side of the house." He forced the pain down as Alfimi patted him on the arm. "Thank you Axel." She said softly, unsure of what to do. She wanted to give him a hug but they had only just reunited and she felt that it would be awkward. She quietly walked away, towards the living room so she could access the hall leading to the sleeping areas. |

Aliasse was focused on her surroundings. Assuming they were thieves, after all, they'd probably stop by her room. The 'intruders' weren't exactly creeping around either; she heard one approaching. She waited a moment, waiting for them to move far enough that they wouldn't be able to duck around the corner, before she swung out of her room, and raised her gun at Alfimi. "You better have a good reason for being here!" she shouted at her, her finger on the trigger. Hopefully, everyone would find the whole situation funny in retrospect. |

Alfimi raised her hands up, arching an eyebrow. "This is Axel's home, correct? I came home with him and Wendy." As if on cue, Axel called out from the living room. "What are you standing there for Alfimi? I kind of want to get a shower and hit the bed..." His voice trailed off as he saw Aliasse standing there in her pajamas, aiming her rifle at the Einst. He stepped in front of Alfimi, keeping his body between her and Aliasse's rifle. "Hey there Ali. It's been a while. I wasn't sure if you were home and the situation's complicated but I can explain everything. Preferably-" He glanced at the clock in the hall. "-later today. Once we've all gotten some sleep. Or we can talk now if you want." |

"A-Axel?" Aliasse told her, stunned for a moment, before her voice shifted to anger, "D-don't mess with me! It's been a year! If Axe-" The gun clattered to the floor, thankfully not discharging a round in the process. "Axel!?" Aliasse was shocked to see the red-headed former mech pilot. As her own return had taken a mere two weeks after her death, she thought that Axel would have been gone forever. At this point, even a groggy looking Natalie walked out of the bedroom, the Shinx's jaw dropping when she saw the pilot had returned. After a moment, the Valkyria rapidly moved at a pace that would normally be reserved for battle, gracefully stepping around the Einst, and Axel would find himself the target of a hug that would have seemed to be a jarring tackle on any other occasion, one that could possibly knock them both to the floor. |

Alfimi pressed herself against the wall as Aliasse rushed by her, smiling at her. "I wouldn't lie to you." Meanwhile, Axel took a step back as Aliasse suddenly rushed at him, unprepared for the tackle. He caught her as she slammed into him, throwing the two of them to the ground. He instinctively tucked his chin in, resting it on top of her head as he hit the ground with a resounding thud. He just held her as he laid there, trying to catch his breath from the unexpected fall. Breathing raggedly, he whispered in her ears between breathes. "It's okay Aliasse. It's okay..." |

Aliasse sniffled. It went against what little she honestly knew. Most reports gave the same period of time: two weeks. It was unlikely people could come back in the first place, even though she herself had. But she'd heard few cases where someone came back after a full year. She would take it though; she was happy just to have Axel back. Aliasse let go and sat back up. She honestly wasn't entirely sure what to say, "Um... sorry for not protecting you better... I... well... do you want something to eat?" For Aliasse, it was a long moment, though barely any time passed. She had so many jumbled thoughts and questions. Only when her head cleared up just a bit, did she go back to worrying, as she realized she'd only accounted for one person, "And are Wendy and Auntie Saber okay?" After all, Axel wasn't the only person there who had perished. She'd seen Axel, Saber, and Wendy all die rather gruesome deaths. |

Axel sighed and sat up as well, scooting back from her. "It's not your fault Aliasse. We just got cocky when we should have remembered that we were taking on two of their strongest fighters." His stomach grumbled as he considered her question. "Sure. We can whip something up together. Just like old times. If you want." He hesitated at her next question, looking down at the floor boards. "Wendy is outside. She was feeling motion sick from the teleportation. And Nero is gone. When I woke up, it was just Wendy and I. Sorry Aliasse. She didn't make it." He perked up slightly, picking his head up as he waved at Alfimi. "This is Alfimi by the way. She's the one I told you about before. The one who saved my soul and restored by body. It's a long story about how we reunited but I can tell you about that while we eat." |

She nodded solemnly. It was a bit of a bittersweet moment for her. She had Axel back. She had Wendy back. Saber... was gone, and while Aliasse scarcely had expected any of them back a day before, the return of the former Emperor of Rome was even less likely. Aliasse gave a nod to the offer of working together though, while still giving a small smile. She was still happy that she would have Wendy and Axel back, even though there was a pang at the loss of her 'Auntie Saber'. She nodded, as she walked towards the refridgerator. The greater part of her was absolutely giddy, but the pang of loss managed to keep her grounded enough to focus, "I'll have to run out and do some grocery shopping later." Aliasse told him, "I'm still just stocked up for me and the Pokemon." Meanwhile, Natalie had slipped back into Aliasse room to inform everyone else, and there was the sight of a few furry, chitinous, and even a floral body, as while Shaymin wasn't really familiar with Axel, she at least thought it best to go with Nat, Lowie, and Esther to meet them, it even looked like there was a bit of a skip is Esther's step, as she approached to see them. Aliasse looked over to her little friends with a grin, before saying, "Humm. I was going to be pretty busy this week, so I went ahead and bought a bunch of stuff for hamburgers, cause they're easy and taste good. Do those sound good?" |

Axel watched as Natalie went back into Aliasse's room, momentarily confused as a horde of Pokemon spilled out of the room. He smiled as Esther poked her head out of the bedroom, before she approached him. He picked her up and started to pet her as he followed Aliasse into the kitchen. "Sure. Hamburgers sound good." He set Esther down and knelt down to warily pet the other Pokemon as he hadn't met them yet before straightening up. He walked over to Aliasse and peeked over her shoulder into the fridge, sighing as he did a quick mental inventory. "We can both go shopping later together. I also need to get Alfimi some clothes as well." On the other side of the house, the door opened to reveal Wendy, who looked pale but otherwise herself. She perked up when she saw the Valkyria and quickly ran over to her, pulling her into a hug. "Hello Aliasse-san. It's been a while. I hope you weren't too worried while we were gone." She stepped back from Aliasse and waved at the Pokemon, smiling at them. "I see you've adopted more Pokemon into our family here." |

Aliasse nodded, just happy to have Axel back, and the other Pokemon reacted fairly positively, Shaymin letting out a pleased trill. She nodded when she was told that they were going to get Alfimi more clothes. She still didn't fully understand where the Einst came from, but anyone close to Axel was a friend of her's. She nodded, "I'll go ahead and get the st-" She was a bit surprised, when she was given a running hug, though her smile grew once again when she felt Wendy hug her, almost stumbling a bit when Wendy embraced her, despite having a height advantage over Wendy. The Valkyria giggled for a moment, before letting go. She started prepping the meat, before nodding, "Go ahead and relax for a bit. It's been a year; you all must be super tired right now. Just know your rooms might be a bit dusty." Aliasse, despite being military, could be rather slovenly, after all. Plus, trying to clean their rooms might have been a bit painful for her. |

"It's okay Aliasse. I wouldn't expect you to clean our rooms. It must have been hard, being here by yourself. We can clean our rooms later." Axel nodded at Aliasse and went over to the living room. Upon hitting the sofa, he closed his eyes for a moment as he was exhausted from the events that occurred in the New Valorian universe. Alfimi followed him to the sofa as well, warily stepping around the Pokemon as she sat down next to him, watching him solemnly as he rested. Meanwhile, Wendy helped out Aliasse by setting the table, speaking to her as she worked. "So what have you been up to, Aliasse-san?" |

Aliasse didn't blame Axel for just wanting to lay back at rest. She knew from experience that coming back from death was the most exhausting of experiences imaginable. Even war, which required you to be at your best in every aptitude it required, was not as tiring. Aliasse smiled, as she began to cook, unwrapping the beef patties. She'd have to cook, rather than grill them - Sinnoh wasn't exactly the warmest region in the Pokemon World, despite the perpetual bloom of Floroma Town, so she didn't want to go outside right now. "Nothing much, I guess it's just been back to buisiness as usual." Ali explained. Though honestly, that wasn't such as bad thing. She had to admit, war could be fun. But that was because she was good at it. The dying and seeing people you care about die wasn't fun. Getting back to the part where she just won was what she liked. "I passed the halfway point for horticulture school credits though." She'd had to have a flexible schedule, to say the least, but she was gradually chipping away at her credits. It was a good thing that Forrester had at least rattled off a bit of basic science when she was younger, to keep her mind from atrophying. Though it was obviously to keep her at peak performance, of course, it did help her. |

Wendy finished setting the table and walked around it to stand next to Aliasse, leaning against the counter as she began to cook. The little girl nodded as Aliasse began talking about what she had been up to while they had been gone. Her eyes brightened up as the Valkyria mentioned that she was halfway done horticulture school. She figured that Aliasse's studies would have been impacted by the war with the New Valorians but it seemed that wasn't the case. She pushed herself off the counter and waited for Aliasse to flip the burgers over before she hugged her again, this time with less force. She was just happy to be home and that everyone was together as a family again. She released Aliasse and stepped back, smiling up at her. "I'm really glad that your studies are going well. And it really is good to be back home." In the living room, Axel wasn't asleep but was resting in a semi alert state, one leg up on the sofa and the other hanging over the side of it, his foot tapping against the wooden floorboards. Alfimi tore her eyes away from her as Esther and the other Pokemon shuffled over, curious about her. She hesitantly reached out her hand, holding it out to Esther, as she had seen Axel pick her up. Hearing the commotion of the Pokemon, Axel cracked open his eyes and smiled encouragingly at the Einst. "They're really friendly Alfimi. Don't be shy." She gazed at him and offered him a small smile before she reached out with both her hands to gently touch the Pokemon. |

Aliasse hugged back, before looking over towards the Einst, "They're fighters, every one of them. But they're still really friendly. They're pretty smart too." About on par with humans a lot of the time, it seemed. Even if they weren't good at things like, say, tool use. Aliasse still fed them, not that they didn't earn their keep on the battlefield. The Pokemon, in turn, were more than happy to be touched. The Einst would likely note that, depending on which one she touched, Natalie's fur had a bit of a coarse texture, Lowie was particularly warm, Shaymin's back felt like foliage while her fur was soft, and Esther, who reached out back to Alfimi, was pretty soft. Aliasse nodded, before looking back at the burgers for a moment. They were doing fine, but Ali didn't want them to burn or anything, so she had to keep an eye on them. She then looked back at Axel, "But, yeah, I'm glad to have you back." She nodded, before thinking for a bit, "So, um... anything you all want to do later? I mean, you've been gone for a while." Aliasse told her, looking between Axel and Wendy alike. Edited by Aliasse, Jul 3 2018, 09:24 AM.
