I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up considering how popular it was when it started. Well more so when it started getting more soap opera like.

Those picture perfect teenagers of 90210. Of course when it started only 4 characters were actically teens. Such as Donna, David, Brenda and Kelly. While the rest were in their early to late twenties. Such as Andrea who was 29 in real life.

Reason I'm bringing this up, is half cause I'm currently watching the third series on dvd, and also cause I'm amazed to find out that they've recently remade the show, now called just '90210', and have two of the original characters as teachers, while the show revolves around a brother and sister that have just moved from somewhere other than Minnesota to Beverly Hills.

From what I've read they've basically rehashed the original storylines. But I doubt that it will ever be as popular as the original.

It is a continuation, with Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth reprising their roles along with a few small parts, such as Kelly (Jennie Garth) has a son by Dylan (Luke Perry, who may or may not be written in). There is also a mention that Donna (Tori Spelling) has had a baby, but there is a wonder whether it is David's (Brian Austin Green), who she married in the final series.

Continuation or not, they're reusing original storylines for the new generation.

For those interested '90210' is due to air on Channel 4 in January.
