I was thinking how awesome some tunes in the old cartoons are when they aren't actually the main theme, for instance:

He-Man's theme He-Man (I'm sure many of us had words to this invented in Primary school :laugh1: )

Cities of Gold was packed with themes for the characters and events that were repeated Link

Jayce's end credits Link

Superted ending tune Link

"I have the power to pick up a flower, it may take an hour or two!"...

Its funny cos while we were recording our TV Theme Mega Medley, we were constantly singing these childhood alternative lyrics instead of the actual ones!

We all remembered some child-made versions of the lyrics to Rainbow and Fraggle Rock too but I think they may be a bit too rude/crude to post here!

Another one that always gets us (even now while we're practicing the medley, live) is singing the Flintstones lyrics without accidentally singing the lyrics Homer sings to that tune, in the Simpsons (about hitting a chest-nut tree!)

also, having recently re-watched Inspector Gadget for the first time since the 80's, we realised why EVERYONE knows the theme tune (even ALL the 10 year old kids I taught this week, who weren't even born when it aired!)...

Basically...its repeated every minute of the entire episode!!...the same tune just tailored to suit the situation he's in...(i.e. arabic, Chinese or gangsters!)...there was def some subliminal brain-washing going on there!...(or just some songwriters who could only write one tune...but what a tune!)
