Hello, I'm new here, but after 15 years and only one lead that has gone to memory I found this board in my search. When I was a kid (I'm 25) I remember seeing this show - I believe it was around the time I was watching Voltron so I assume the show is 70s or 80s. It involved three air planes or space jets/ships that would join together to make a robot (very similar to Voltron. I found something about a "voltron 3" where three robots come together or something like that, but no actual information on a TV series. It was called Albegas). Now, I remember a red, blue and brown one. Depending on what "jet" was the top jet, the robot and its purpose would be different. The red one was the main one and the leader, the blue one I don't remember and the brown one had a drill and some kind of morning star on a chain I believe. I think they fault other robots, or creations sent by the villains in the series. I remember in the last episode or what I think was the last episode, the blue jet pilot is captured or sneaks onto the the villain's main ship. After the heros win the ship explodes and they think the pilot is lost. They find him floating in the water though, on a piece of wreckage. There was a girl in the show as well, I think she pilots the blue jet after the original blue pilot gets captured. I think there was a relationship there but given my age... well who knows. Help?

It was actually a 70s TV show. I happened to catch an image by accident while closing down my browser tabs from last night. I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!! It was called Starvengers in the states. Getta Robo G was the Japanese title. Below is a link to the Wikipedia information (hope linking is allowed). Thank you to all of those who read the post!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Getter_Robo_G http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encycloped...ime.php?id=1993 |
