I'm trying to recall the name of a cartoon about two cats. I remember one episode where they went to the beach. For some reason, they scared everyone off the beach by going into the water and pretending to be a shark. At the end of the episode, they got the beach to themselves. That's all I remember I think it was shown following Sharky and George on Saturday morning UK television... Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply funkykitten. Sadly, Mio and Mao isn't the cartoon i'm thinking of
There's a possibility that it wasn't about two cats. Maybe it was 2 dogs... I've got a feeling that this memory will never be relived

Don't think that's the one i'm thinking of
Thanks for the suggestion though I have a vague memory of one of the cats being an orange/ginger colour. I also think a seagull was somehow involved in the plot. The seagull might have been a recurring character, but i've only ever seen one episode.. edit: this cartoon is fairly old. i probably saw this episode during 1996/1997/1998 sometime. sorry i can't be more specific!
