Hi there guys,

On looking through all of the other memories it appears you have managed to get nearly all of them but i think this one will get you scratching your head!!

Ok, this programme was set in the early 90's i think and was on "normal" television. It was about a boy who i dont think had many friends. I think he had or found a television and when he turned it on a man popped out and would follow him around and played pranks etc on friends and family and the boy got in trouble for it but nobody else could see him. I remember watching it all the time but can remember very little about it.

Can anybody help :born80s:

I can picture this in my head but am not sure if I have it mixed with another program at the same time.

Would have been in the style of "Woof!" losely speaking?

Was it the boy and the mans name...and they both had the same name.

So like Joe and Joe except it wasn't Joe...

Its not "Michelangelo" is it?

He was an alien (a man) in this kids house who used to get up to stuff resulting in the kid getting into trouble with his mum!

Mike and Angelo...I remembered when I saw that!

Wikipedia:

Quote:

Mike and Angelo was a TV series that ran on CITV between 1989 and 2000. It centred on Angelo (played initially by Tyler Butterworth, and from series 3 onwards by Tim Whitnall), an alien who came from another world during the first series; the portal from his world being that of a wardrobe in one of the bedrooms. He lived with Mike (played for most of the show's run by Michael Benz), a young boy who lived with his mother called Rita. Later series' had a new actor playing Mike's aunt Katy Murphy who was called Katy. Together, Mike and Angelo would get up to all kinds of crazy adventures - all within the vicinity of the house that they lived in. Angelo would always be inventing something crazy, or walking on the ceiling (due to him being an alien), or summoning up historical figures from the past. They would always wreak havoc together (much to Katy's annoyance, crying "ANGELO!!" in her Scottish accent constantly). Their neighbours were the posh Fawkes-Bentleys, in whose house some of the show's scenes were occasionally based. In 1999, during the show's penultimate run, Mike became a girl for the first time, using the logic that her first name was Michaela (Mike is short for Michael). The show was last screened in March 2000.
