The toys were awesome; G.I. Joes with holograms and spells. I still have all mine. I use Witterquick for figure posing when I draw. |

I got a video tape with about 4 or 6 episodes on it from a friend on my birthday when I was about 12.. I had never even heard of it before then and never have (even today) seen it on tv or anything. Those episodes are still stuck in my memory - such good plot and characters, done so well. |

Visionaries were great but short. Although I didn't get this wizard who gave the good guys and bad guys powers to keep things fair yet he ends up helping the good guys in episodes ?????? |

because the badguys doublecross and would't get things he want them to, besides it was't about giving them powers to be fair, he was offering powers to anyone who overcame the challenges, and only a few (spectral knights and darkling lords) beat the challenges in exchange for the powers he would ask them to do the 'odd' thing for him |

I don't think Merklyn was ever defined as good, evil or unbiased, he pretty much just hired "muscle" by trading in magic. I'm curious. It's odd that Visionaries didn't last very long, but it had cloned rip-offs later. Did the UK get King Arthur and the Knights of Justice? It was about an american football team, captained by a Quarterback named Arthur. They are swepted into the past by Merlin and become the legenday King Arthur and his Knights of the round table while the real ones are imprisoned by Morgana Le Faye. In this cartoon their armors featured coat-of-arms with weapons and useful tools. When they thumped them with their fists the emblem would become real. ![]()

I had a Visionaire and a video but I wasn't overly impressed with it. I associated it a bit with the Ethel Austin reduced to clear bin. Made well and looked good but I think it lacked that magic that the classics have. How can I put this...Some things have tha Va Va Voom and some don't. <_< |

I just got the DVD today. It`s fantastic! When I got the He-Man DVD I was disappointed having LOVED it as a child but I have to say that Visionaries surprised me with it`s quality. Pity there weren`t any more series. |
