I seem to remember that Button Moon did live performances at my local theatre (Theatre Royal in Norwich) every so often, but I'm not sure if this is right or not. Did they actually have a Button Moon "roadshow" type thing?

Indeed there was.

From Wikipedia: -

There was also a live stage show which ran during the late 1980s and the early 1990s. The stage show was popular at many theatres including the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury and the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon.

I'm pretty sure there was.

I remember seeing Mr Men live and I saw Sooty countless times when I was a kid!!

Aww the memories!

I got chosen out of the audience twice at sooty shows! One I had to wear an old lady mask for this little act they did....I loved sooty...I used to cry every time it finished...because i hated it when it was the end of the series and it went off air :P
