hello everyone! first of all, I AM SNAKE-EYES. hello to all who LOVE 80's cartoons and animation, movies and cool stuff in general. I've been away for a while but I'm back now. okey-dokey, well the last time I visited this forum, I recall that there were questions to whether or not the classic toon THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS was available on dvd. now, according to this website - NO. BUT! I was in HMV recently and I'm certain that I saw a few copies in the childrens dvd section at a mere £5.99 each! now, I can't confirm this but I have a good memory, in any case, I'm gonna check it out this Saturday but in the mean time, can anyone else help?! :80srock:

I say one DVD in Smiths for £4.99. Pretty cool, but they seem to be releasing them in a totally random order. The ones released are a few episodes from the middle of the second series, It makes no sense and it's a bit worrying because when things get released like that it makes it less likely they'll all be released. I love those episodes, most of them anyway, but I already have them taped off the telly. I want the others!

Okay, done moaning

There seems to be a broad mix when it comes to how cartoons and the like are released. Terrahawks, Visionaries, Dungeons and Dragons etc all got, or are getting, quite systematic and complete releases - but then their runs were relatively finite. It seems a little strange that Ghostbusters isn't getting decent treatment given the popularity of the films; I'd have thought the recent Fox re-showing would have resulted in a good DVD release. But then you're only paying a fiver for the disc of course. What are other people's experiences of cartoon DVDs? Made with TLC or slung together on the cheap?

well i have to say i was disappointed with transformers series 1:3 dvd, its only 5 eps and it cost £15!! then there was visionaires 13 eps for £10 and they both got reasonable fronts ends, i don't see how they can justify that difference and given these big series, i esp don't see it, transformers was like 3 or 4 series big, they'd make more than enough money from that without spliting 2 dvds worth into 3
some companies just want to milk nostalgia :sadblue:

They did the same thing with the Dogtanian dvd. The first dvd had 9 eps for £10, and the rest had 5 eps for the same amounts.
