I have something that has been haunting me for years. I remember a truck with a woman driving it. They were going up a hill and there was a screaching noise. A kid in the back said "What's that noise" and the woman said "It's the truck's brakes, they can't take the steep climb'. After much digging around I think this was an episode of pole position (the one with the 2 talking detective cars from the late 80's early 90's - think it was on BBC Saturday morning TV). Does anyone remember this and can you tell me which episode the above quote is from. This has been driving me mad for about the last 10 years. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. BTW - don't know if anyone has discovered it but I have just got cable and Fox Kids - Ulyuses 31 and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors on Monday nights!! Not that I'd watch that kind of thing you understand - I'm supposed to be an adult now

it was ep 4. Strangers on the Ice Uncle Zachary asks the kids to deliver a satellite device to a Dr. Russell for final inspection, up in the mountains. It'll take more than snow and ice to slow down the Pole Position team, except for Dan, who gets queasy after a near-fatal attempt at his latest stunt. When two different men show up claiming to be the real Russell, and both turn out to be crooks, the kids have their hands full. Not only do they have to find the real scientist, they also must recover their stolen truck with the satellite inside, and get Wheels off an ice floe in the river. It's one daring rescue after another, but a woman named Dora provides some unexpected help. (taken from http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/Episo...Pole_Position/) (i checked my ones) |
