I still don't have any names - but it wasn't the moomins. I remember the Moomins. The original series doesn't have the right animation, and the series I saw in the 90s I'd remember. But thanks Mike. I did, however, have a brain-wave whilst in the shower the other day. I think one of the main goodies was a scarecrow. I think he was the 'humanoid' one I was talking about who was going to be eaten in the morning. Again, I don't have a name of any of the characters, but does that help anyone? I really appreciate everyone's help. Thanks.

Has anyone had any ideas at all? It's a bit quiet so I assume I've stumped everyone. I've also got another query about a cartoon. It was a normal film-length cartoon which I watched in the 80s or 90s. I only remember seeing it twice on British TV. I can't remember the title and haven't been able to find it on the net. I think it was a version of the story of Oliver Twist but done with a cat - BUT IT'S NOT 'OLIVER AND COMPANY' by Disney. I think the cat was called Oliver in the story which is one of the things which makes it really difficult to track down. The cat was black and white and had a red cap, I think. The bit I remember clearly was about half way through the film when he's locked in the spare room for being naughty but someone has left the iron on in there. A fire starts and he starts yowling to let everyone know, but they don't realise there's a fire until it's almost too late. :kitty: Does it ring any bells anyone? Sorry, I feel as if I'm setting impossible cartoons for everyone to remember but any help gratefully received.

If memory serves the name of the cartoon was called Peter-No-Tail because he had a short stump of a tail instead of a long one like other cats. |

That could well be the name of the cat one, although I thought I remembered him being cuter! Maybe he looked cuter around humans, but it seems to fit the bill. Anyone any news on the other cartoon? |
