I think I was thinking of Jaga.
He popped up every so often "Dead Jedi" style to give Lion-o a tip or two about stuff.

yes, i meantioned grune because jaga fights him (ghost to ghost)

willa : wait don't go that way
lion-o : i have to, tigra's in trouble, theres no time to waste
jaga fades in....
jaga : wait lion-o, she knows this world better than you, sometimes you can save time, by taking time to find out everything about a situation
lion-o : yes jaga you are right

(taken from 'the trouble with time') :D
