Don't know if we've had this one or not, but I remember Look and Read from when I was at infant school - probably around 6 years old, so that must have been around 1984?!

Anyway, it was an educational programme with an orange creature called Wordy, but which also included a 'drama' every week. The ones I remember are Badger Girl, Dark Towers and Boy from Space but there were others as well (my sister is younger than me and remembers 'Jordy Racer').

Does anyone else remember these?

My memory ain't what it used to be (old age). There was Fairground as one of the dramas as well. Most of them had good theme tunes.

I Remember boy from space, didnt he learn to write English off a bread wrapper, but it was inside out, so he wrote it backwards all the time.

I remember the magic pencil too, it showed us how to write words and letters properly.

Ah, memories are made of stuff like this, (I'm having a moment now). :laugh1:

I remember Look & Read. The pencil used to go "up & down & then round followed by a curly tail". That show was cool. Do you also remember Pigeon Street & Puddle Lane?

Good Idea. I noticed the webmaster has done up the He-Man section in the 80's list.

Ah, ha.

Do you think if we suggested she start a new topic dedicated to finding stuff that's not already here, she'd be up for it.

We could all go off on a mission looking for stuff on some of the real rare toons, and post links and stuff to help fluffykitten out.

It would have to be a dedicated string though, otherwise she'd get p***ed off looking through reams of chat, just to find a few links.
