Nightmare on Elm Street movies were good for their time. My fave one was Dream Warriors - the third one. I never saw the last one tho.

i think the 3rd 1 was the best, especially the bit where they all use their own powers to defeat freddy!!!

Good call Rob. Yeah he was dead. I never saw Freddy's dead so I can't comment on it but I always wanted to know how they 'killed' him seeing as he was dead already.

Wes Craven's New Nightmare has ruined the whole concept of Nightmare on Elm Street for me, you know the whole film wihin a film thing.

There's a bit of a get out clause with Freddy because basically it's having people believe in him that gives him the strength to live. Which is why in Freddy vs Jason he gets Jason to do bad stuff to make people remember and fear Freddy and that gives him the power to be alive again. If you understood that well done!

I thought New Nightmare was OK, although not good enough to actually buy the film, I think I just watched it when it was on TV ages ago or rented it out.

His daughter finally kills him with his own glove when she pulled him through her dreams....or something...It was good!

I believe that once Freddy's own daughter succeeded in running him through with his own glove that should have ended the Nightmare Saga there. It's kind of like what they did for Halloween H20 with Michael Myers. I won't give away the ending but after that flick that should have stopped right there instead of bringing him back in Halloween Resurrection. :teddyboogie:

I know Criz. Like I said, after she does this the Nightmare on Elm Street Series should have been put to rest. In other words, no more Nightmare movies.
