did anyone read roald dahl books in school? i remember reading the witches (also a great movie) and the bfg (a great cartoon movie) in class. i remember watching george's marvellous medicine being read on jackanory and my brother would read my sister and i danny the champion of the world before bed. that's my favorite. anyways, if you're a roald dahl fan you should read all of his work. his two autobiography's "boy" and "going solo" are really good. "boy" has some really good sweet shop stories that make me miss england a lot!

I remember studying Danny Champion of the World at school, all about pheasants or something?! I also remember at junior school the teacher read us James and the giant peach. Was the Twits one of his? I seem to remember it was, and the only other one I can remember is the BFG. Don't think I read George's Marvellous Medicine.

I loved Roald Dahl books. One of my faves was The Twits. I also liked The Witches.

George's Marvellous Medicine - What was that one about again? I remember the title but can't think what happens in it. :questions:

I loved all of them and I think the pictures by Quentin Blake were great. My favourite was The Witches (the film's quite good too) but we had George's Marvellous Medicine on tape and listened to it about a million times! The spooky grandmother had a blood curdling voice and some of the things she said were terrifying. :o

george's marvellous medice was about the lil boy george who was left with his evil grandma and she was so mean to him so when it was time to get her her medicine he concocted a crazy potion of everything in the house and it made her grow so tall she popped out the top of the house and they she shrank i think and totally disappeared!

I loved Roald Dahl books.
I've got Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Great Glass Elevator and I've also got James and the Giant Peach and The BFG.
I've also read The Twits and George's Marvellous Medicine but my favourite Dirty Beasts rhyme has to be The Scorpion!
