WWE.com has confirmed that, "an unprecedented 40 Superstars will have the ultimate opportunity to realize their dream of performing in the World Championship main event match on this now aggrandized stage for the most brilliant competitors." |

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's what I always say... Does this mean that the rest of the event will now be watered down to accommodate for extra time and bodies required for the new Rumble format? Answer - probably. Will this watering down be worse in the long run than improving the Rumble by adding 10 more bodies? Answer - probably. |

Probably, considering that there are only two matches so far besides the rumble. It's probably a way to add ALL of both Nexus groups, plus Punk and Cena, plus the possible return of Triple H. Who knows they may be doing another year of 'SURPRISE' entrances and maybe...ANOTHER WOMAN OR 2?? |

I see it working like this. Womans Title Match Raw Main Event (Miz v RKO) Smackdown Main Event (Dolph v Edge) 40 Man Royal Rumble..... wow... FOUR FUCKING MATCHES...... |

Calm down, everyone. A 40 man rumble allows for 10 more paydays. Ten guys who wouldn't be even on PPV will get to be on one of the big four. That's great. The Rumble is always great, and a reason to buy the PPV on its own. Historically, the undercard is a bit lame at the Rumble anyhow, so bringing it down to four matches means three great matches (the world title matches and the Rumble) and one cool-down match between the title matches (Womens title match). I mean, I know I'm a WWE mark, but there's surely nothing wrong with that. Give them a shot, for crying out loud

I was hoping for Bryant vs. Regal, Bryant vs. Kidd or Kofi v.s Swagger at the rumble so the extra 10 fucks with my brain. me don't like it. |

Who would have thought it, John giving something WWE are doing his full backing? The worlds gone mad, oh no wait. For what its worth, id rather have an additional 10 people in the rumble than watch some sort of shitty Diva match. but just so long as the 10 people that are added are worthwhile additions and not just 10 jobbers/oldies or worse still celebrities who are just being put in to up the buyrates. If that is the case then it shouldnt really impact on the format too much other than having the rumble last a bit longer. be interesting to see if it remains this way, and if so, who will be the first person to go through all 40 competitors and come out with the win. |

Shawn Michaels will come out of retirement just so he can get the spotlight for another 10 minutes to be able to start the Rumble & go all the way to the end. But yea about diva's Gail Kim & Alicia Fox put on another good match on Superstars this week so not all diva matches suck. I know at times the division is about as bad as the tag team division but their is potential there. |

Lets not beat about the political correctness bush here, womens wrestling is and always has been utter toilet. sure there may be the odd match here and there thats slightly ok, but for whatever reason, womens wrestling is crap. I hope i dont offend anyone by saying this, im just being honest, whether its the fault of the bookers or whatever and that women havent been given the oppertunitys that the men have. All i know is as soon as a womens match comes on i turn over or go and make a cuppa. Ive nothing against it at all and i wish them all the luck in the world if thats what they want to do, but the standard is pants. So yeah, thats me just offending half the worlds population. Love ya!!!! |

You have a right to your point of view so I won't say I'm offended but I 100 % disagree w/ you. Yes, in the WWE, it's become at times crap with the wave of models or women who are only wrestling because they weren't good enough to be actresses but then there's the ones who know how to wrestle. Natie, Gail, Beth, Laycool(both sucked first few years but now I've actually been impressed) as well as Melina & Alicia Fox are NOW fairly good when given the chance. WWE has made them 2nd or 3rd class citizens by not usually giving them more then 5 minutes for a match (just like the tag divison) but yea I like alot of the matches. Most of TNA's knockouts are good or great wrestlers but with Hogan & Eric around alot of their time has been cut short. And when ROH lets the few women they have wrestle it's always glorious as I wish they would have a 2 hour show as ROH would get to number 2 & TNA would end up 3 as other then looking low budget most of the matches are great because they let their wrestlers wrestle. |

I agree with you about ROH its by far and away the best technical product. But to be perfectly honest, wrestling as a whole is pretty shit these days. I cant even remember the last time i watched it. All in all, mens wrestling is shit, womens wrestling is just shitter. |

TNA is mostly shit but while WWE has some shit to it & the PG deal is annoying they still put on great matches from time to time. It's not the same as when I was a kid but I didn't know as much backstage shit as I know now so maybe that's the difference for the most part as a kid we didn't know it was fake at first & when we did we were amazed in some of the matches how it wasn't with all of the great moves, etc. how they can "learn to fall" like that. It still makes me happy even though my disgust of Cena has got me watching more indy shows, finding ROH, PWG & WWE's farm league FCW is usually decent as I'd watch more japanese or mexican wrestling if they had american voice overs. |

wow as I'm not touching what Blue said. More from SD then Raw but they usually have at least 1 great match. Throughout last year the 3 some of Kofi, Swagger & Ziggler have been putting on awesome matches. The CM Punk vs. Rey fued I liked & most recently I was shocked that they let Trent Baretta look that good vs. Drew on the new years eve show. On superstars Trent & Curt Hawkins have been putting on great matches. On Raw it's mostly Bryan even though Sheamus & Randy had a good match as well as Morrisson has really steped his game up. Before he left Jericho had a great, even though it was random, few week feud vs. Evan Bourne which was cool. So yea on SD the only one who truly bores me is Big Show while on Raw most things that involve Cena I can't care for(even though I'm hoping Punk forces him to have a good feud) |

To be honest with you, I think they fucked up. It is actually possible to have a 40 man rumble AND throw in another match in the time span, how you ask? Simple. Reduce the time between entrants from 90 seconds, to 60. A little more action, a lot more bodies in the ring, and general all around wrestling chaos! |
