I went away for vacation Wednesday, came home Friday for my girlfriend's birthday, and now I get on here and read...all of this. First, and most importantly, I have to say... I quit. Just kidding. As for the "clique" ideal, could you be any more vague? Any more paranoid? Who all is in this said "clique"? Just the people that are active OOC? I've never been terribly active OOC. I don't even have MSN, and I'm never on AIM. I've never been interested in the random gibberish and picture sharing that goes on here. I'm cool with it, but I just don't have the time to get into that. But yet, I was the first ever CWF champion in the new era with Sahn. I ran the Cyndicate storyline through it's course, keeping in touch with all the members and ex-members via PM. It was never small talk, it was just sharing ideas on segments and storylines. It was just sending segments back and forth, working on the dialogue. I worked a lot with Jarvis King, Joshua Monroe, Ryan Storm, Danny B, and at times, King Nothing, among others. The more I worked with them, the more I got familar with their styles and storylines. Perhaps, over time, I became a bit biased towards them opposed to people I'm not so familiar with. People are going to like what they're familiar and used to. That's simple human nature. Then, I had to take a leave for a few weeks to find a job and sort out personal things. I took the opportunity to leave Sahn (I later brought him back as President, but that was Rish's idea that I ran with.) behind, and bring in a brand new character. I kept Jace Valentine a "secret", because I wanted to let his storylines run their course before I got shot up to the main events. Maybe I'm in this "clique", maybe I'm just a good writer. I didn't want people to think "Well, if he can do it with Sahn, he can do it with new guy X". I wanted Jace Valentine to be different. A different character, a different storyline, a different persona. To do that, I had to distance him from my last successful character. King Nothing, I respect you as a writer. But this should be said: If there's anyone who shouldn't complain about "politicking" and glass ceilings...it's you. Your first match back was a Paramount title match. Sure, it was scripted to be a countout from the start, but you then went on to get two more title shots in less then two months. If anyone was holding down the younger guys, it was you. It was you that got three title matches in a row, finally capitalizing on the last one. And your first title defense was planned against your best friend. Not the rest of the guys on the roster that deserve a chance at a title. Not the guys like Bucky and Chris Xtreme who have been here months without getting a real shot. Delamere, when you shot me the idea of the stable, I respectfully declined for multiple reasons. One, I didn't want it to be "Cyndicate 2", and with me, Danny and King Nothing...it would have at least drawn comparisons. Second, I knew that the shit would hit the fan eventually. You want the fed ran your way, you want the rest of the CWF roster and booking to cater to your every need. No one else got that, not Cain, not Sexay or Elijah or anyone else for that matter. What made you think that you were entitled to it? I've shot Rish plenty of ideas over the past year, and probably at least half of them have been shot down. I don't complain, I don't make a big fuss. Not everything can go your way, you just have to man up and deal with it. It's not about politics or favorism. It's about reliability and consistency. People who have been here for 9-13 months are going to get shots over the guys that just joined three weeks ago. They might not be more talented, but they're more deserving because they have proven that they will stick around and that they can handle the extra workload. If the new guys are more talented, then they will make their way up. If it's in one month, three months or five...you will get your opportunities and your chance to cash in on them. Countless people have won titles in three or less months after they joined. But it will take months, not weeks. You have to do your time, proving that you can be relied upon to hold the title. Then your time will come. (If you give a title to someone who has proven to be unreliable but talented...you have Victor Quinn as World Champion) As for the Gauntlet match, when I read the results I figured that Abi won because of the Impact championship storyline between her and Sexay. Sure, Highlander got the short end of the stick, but really...how else would you have booked that match? Maybe the Gauntlet match was a bad idea to begin with, but all the participants seemed okay with it going in. If BS would have beat Ninja, Bucky, and Abi...and then went on to have a match with Highlander the same night, it would have made Abi look awful as far as the storyline went. This way, Abi can say she beat BS. BS can say that she needed the help of Ninja and Bucky. Highlander can say that his team won, without him really needing to get involved. It gives each wrestler involved more to work with in their RPs, and to further the storyline. I don't see why this was a big issue. Ronnie McNeil and Highlander, you might feel slighted now...but the wins will come. Highlander, you've had success here before, both as Dan and as Mark Carlton. Ronnie, you've had your fair share of shots, and you're a talented writer. You'll take some losses, but you'll get some key wins too. Focus on a huge storyline to propel you into the big time. For Sahn, it was the birth Cyndicate. For Jace, it was the saga with his father's sickness. For Jarvis King, it was leaving the Cyndicate. Every wrestler that has hit the "big time" in the CWF has had their "big moments". Work toward yours. As for Devin Pearce, you were here what? Two, three weeks? And you're crying foul that this federation is incompetently ran? You were a talented writer, but your character was nothing special. You didn't reach out to work with anyone but Delamere, why do you expect people to reach out to work with you? If you want to work a storyline with someone, the best thing to do is PM them. Otherwise, how would they know? Talk to your partners, talk to your opponents, talk to Rish and make something work. There's always something you can think up, no matter how ridiculous. This is supposed to be professional wrestling, the more ridiculous and farfetched...the better. Now, this is what we have to do: 1. Bring in a few new guys. The talent is here, but we may need a few more able bodies to fill the card. 2. Keep the fan poll around. Maybe have people PM their opinions to Rish instead of posting them publicly. The results of Massacres and PPVs are determined by the Predictions poll. Whoever gets more votes, they win. Eliminating this, or making a "judging" committee would be the opposite of what we're trying to do here. CWF is a democracy, and everyone's voice should be heard. If you are not filling out the Predictions page each week at the very least, then you should be. This is how Rish decides on who wins, not by picking his favorites and his closest friends. 3. Have someone lose a title and stick around. The last three champions that have dropped the title have left the week after. (Angelica, Andrews, and Cain) Ataxia, if and when you lose the title...don't leave prz? And that, my friends, is the World's Greatest Advice. [I know that, for the most part, the shit storm is over. I don't intend to stir things up, and I'm not throwing out any insults. I just wanted my opinions to be out there.] |

To be fair, the last 3 champions leaving was due to circumstance. Danni had to find a job, Sean had to find a social life and Ross had to find his smile. Anyone? Come on, HBK reference? Anyhow, yeah, werrrrrd. |

I totally know this was about 3 days ago now, but I have been away, so deal with it Like Jarvis said, when I left it was because I was about a week away from not having a job at all and had been trying for about 3 months to find one. I needed to not be spending hours writing when I should have been job hunting, I didnt leave because I lost the title. It was always going to be when I lost the title I would have to leave. Real life and all that. The other two just left when they lost because they want to be like me. Just to clear that up. |
