The Ultimate Opportunist
It's nice to see that I have been such a bane to CWF in my time here. Am I the cancer, the acne, or the genital warts?

I was new to CWF when Patrick quit the first time, and decided to stick around because I liked what I saw. The fed has been active for a year, which is an accomplishment, indeed. The shows, as I've stated in another thread, are rarely, if ever posted late.

Over the course of a couple months, I have noticed an increased "cliquishness" in the roster. I have noticed that certain people get more of a push than others, and I have seen a lot of newcomers get welcomed by cold shoulders. I have seen seasoned members create new characters to "see if they can win on their own." To me, this means that they sense the bias and wanted to put it to the test.

As I stated before, I don't care where I'm at on the card. I don't care who I face. I don't care what belt I hold. I write as a creative release, and I value any input of impressions that I get for that over any virtual title, or status. I'm not the most active guy in the OOC, that's because even I feel like an outcast. The impression a new member would get is that everyone here has known each other for a long time, referring to each other by first name, and having a lot of inside jokes, etc...

I understand that working closely with each other will build familiarity, but it's very obvious that the people involved seem to dominate the shows, while others barely have any recognition. I have been very cordial toward everyone, and have even went out of my way to seek out and help members of the roster who seemed to have been struggling. Ryan Storm, Ninja, and Grinch are a few off the top of my head.

Seeing the clique games growing caused my frustration to do the same. It is stressful to feel like you're a footnote. I've asked for feedback in the feedback thread several times, only to be ignored by most, even if I had left it for others.

I asked Patrick to come back so we could work together one last time before we both left the efed world forever. He joined under a different name in hopes of leaving his past behind him, so we could have our last run. The match he was "demanding" wasn't about the title, it was about him being fed up with the fed, and he wanted to finish our feud sooner than the ppv so he could take his leave. I will admit that his review was a little excessive, and should have been taken with a grain of salt. Something that heavily biased should be disregarded anyway.

After all the things I have been watching, and then learning the identity of Starr, and then seeing her get the nod in that match... was the straw that broke the camel's back. From my point of view, her rp that week was not even close to that of Sexay or Highlander. Knowing what I know, how could one explain that win?

Danny, I know you made the choice and wrote the match, but I've seen Rish edit and/or change things on matches, including endings at will, so he consciously left this one be.

As for the stable idea, Patrick, Jack and I sat down and discussed who we though, from the roster, would be most beneficial to our cause. The picks were strong writers who we felt were being held back, and not given proper opportunity to shine. Patrick may have carbon copied his "pitch" to people, but the ones we wanted were all important to the stable.

I don't want to leave on any certain bad terms, and I do apologize for leaving you all hanging with the title, but as Cain, and others stated, "When it's no longer fun, get out."

On being bias, I would like to clear up that I never pull the "I won't vote for you because you didn't vote for me." My picks have always been honestly who I felt to have the better rp that week. Come to think of it, I have always been very forward and honest, even when I leave feedback. I am the type who always appreciated honesty, even if that meant telling me that my post plain sucked.

Now I'm not here to stir things up, I'm not here to piss people off, or sling insults and slander. I wish no ill will on anyone here in CWF, or even to the fed itself. What I hope to accomplish is for everyone to take a long look at the things going on around here and hopefully make some changes for the better. I hope that the newcomers will be met with warm welcomes, and will be helped if they are struggling. I hope that everyone remains open to criticism, and use the advice to help improve their writing, because after all, isn't that what fedding is all about?

Ataxia

Brian, I don't think your any of those things.

This is again my opinion but I hope things work out for you even if you not in CWF. You write well and you always have a good characterization with your guy to the point where I feel a lot of how he's feeling when he writes. I'm sorry you and Marcus don't get to finish your feud but I also think this could have been handled better by everyone. I hope you find a new place that works out better for you.

Been fun reading your work.

Big Sexay

Brian,

Thanks for coming back and being an adult about this. I know things can flare up in an instant especially online. There's no emotions on this thing called the internet so people can take things the wrong way very easily.

I thought you were a talented writer. Had some good stuff. My personal opinion is that you weren't the cancer, genital warts and all that stuff in this situation. You were just the after effects (itching, scratching)...just kidding. people take sides of all situations and if they believe something they stick to their guns.

My personal opinion is that some attacks and jabs were taken too far by both parties. But if we can continue to be adults and keep things in private chat or PM and not on the OOC boards I would actually be ok with you staying in CWF if you would like. It's not like you HAVE to leave now or are NEVER welcomed back. I haven't spoken to the entire "clique" (just kidding again"). I welcome all adults that want to have fun and wlll keep things private and in house and not flare up my OOC boards.

24 hours later a lot of things can hapen. Cooler heads can prevail for all situations. I know there are a couple people that won't be welcomed back but I don't think that you're one of them. I just think that you got caught in the crossfire. If you decide NOT to come back? Well then I hope you enjoy playing this game somewhere else. There are a lot of efeds in the world. Good luck to you though dude. Like I said, I really thought you were a talented writer and someone i'd like to feud with down the road.

So as the greatest superhero in the history of man kind said.

It was a joke. After 12 hours of dealing with people who left in a very, for lack of a better word, prissy manner, riling everyone up...I thought we could have a laugh.

brian,

I respect your opinion, and have to thank you for coming back with a clear head to make your piece. I have always had the upmost for you and hope that you may come back one day. You just proved that you have a far more adult way of dealing with tough situations than some others. Good luck in the future.

Out of everything that happened yesterday, the saddest moment for me was losing you from the roster. I agree with some of the things you said in this post, and honestly some of the things other people had to say also, I'm sure this fed isn't absolutely perfect. I am sure there are things that could be changed, but I have busted my ass for 13 months now to make sure this is as much fun for everyone, while being as fair to as many people as I can. To see something blow up the way it did yesterday, that obviously hurt the image of CWF really bad. Nevertheless, it's all over now, so I hope this is the very last post of this kind. Hope that everything works out for you in the outside world, Brian.
