Resident Hell Raiser

Nearly a month had passed- and in that time it had taken everything I had to stabilise her mentally, she’d slowly started becoming more like herself- if that was possible.

I noticed she’d turn up with bruises occasionally, her clothes sporting new brand names- little things that most wouldn’t have noticed, even her hair colour had changed again- somehow despite the set-back the money was obviously rolling in- her explanation.
Dallas underground.
I should have known- she’d mentioned before that she had contacts in the underground community- whether it was fighting rings, illegal sales etc...
I wasn’t exactly pleased by this revelation but she was obviously sure of herself so I let her go with it, she had a way with people and I hoped that maybe it’d be what she needed about now.

I’d felt more distant from her.
Even when we spoke we were missing the same connection that we had those years ago, like she’d lost a piece of herself- like something inside her had died.
I hated seeing her like this- the innocence had long been lost but now more than ever was it noticed- she wasn’t that little girl anymore.
She deserved to be a little girl but never got that chance- to a point I hated myself cause I felt like maybe I’d made her grow up so fast.

The legend of Latino Heat will live on in the hearts of his family, the memories of his peers and in the roars of the crowds who will chant his name forever...
