Blake Church: Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back to the United States after our extensive Asian tour, coming from Greenville, South Carolina!

Charles State: It feels a little odd not to have you greet our viewers in any language there is, but just because we’re home does not mean that the show will be any less exciting!

Blake Church: This is “Church vs. State”!

Charles State: We are officially on the Road to Paradise-

Blake Church: You always wanted to say that, didn’t you?

Charles State: Hey, who wouldn’t, right? Anyways, we have two Evolutions to go, so we expect a lot of action both in and outside of the ring. And kicking off things is CWF’s porter, since he often is in our kick-off match, Billy Anderson, newly divorced from his brother Tyler, who lost their career match at Unhinged, and he has been trying to break as many ties to his country past as he can of late. He has said several times that he does not want to be bogged down by his baby brother anymore, so we will see, if their split is in any way cathartic for him.

Blake Church: The only “problem” for him is that he is meeting none less than Freddie Styles, who is returning from his hiatus and seems to be more energetic than ever, so he most definitely has his work cut out for him. Additionally he is going to have to put his money where his mouth is, because Billy definitely has a lot of things to prove.

Charles State: Freddie, on the other hand, has had a really mean streak before taking some time off to regroup and revitalize, so he also has a lot to prove, so this could be an interesting match up indeed, if we go with track records, though, I have a pretty good idea who will be considered the favourite.

Blake Church: To pick a favourite in our next match might also be considered easy by some, with Silas Artoria being the most prolific contestant, but Dangerous Dan is a true CWF veteran that always seems to manage to be washed to the top of the pile, somehow, either as singles competitor or together with Crazy Chris as the Danger Boiz.

Charles State: Add to that our chef Atticus Rex and the mysterious newcomer LX-2656 and suddenly any kind of state of favouriteness could be null and void just through the factor of the unknown. Atticus left quite the impression the first time around, but then fell victim to his fellow chef Ramsay Gordon, so his record so far is hard to gauge, while LX-2656 is so new to CWF that I have absolutely not idea, if it is a boy, a girl, a kitten or a Martian, so talk about unpredictability!

Blake Church: Same goes for the next bout, where our resident Angel of Apathy is trying to contain his bristling excitement to meet returning Kaden Vossk in a clash of the big guys. Azrael has had his fair share of ups and downs, but he has shown some remarkable improvement of late that at least hints him trying to go after some bigger names. The fact that he is facing Vossk this Monday could be seen as just another stepping stone in his ascent.

Charles State: On the other hand, how much faith does management have in him, if they pit him with essentially a newcomer instead of giving him a chance to prove himself against someone a bit higher up the totem pole? The best way to prove you are ready is to beat someone at least one rung higher than you on the ladder. But we will see, if Azrael can continue to bolster his self confidence or if Kaden can come back with a splash.

Blake Church: Another new name is coming to CWF and one with a seemingly troubled past. Xander Haze is the last name to come through the doors and he is battling both a very rough and violent childhood as well as cerebral palsy and now is ready to take on the world in his first match for the federation, squaring off against none other than former CWF Heavyweight Champion, Duce Jones!

Charles State: Well, there are few better ways to test your mettle in this fed than against Duce, or Byson, whoever decides to show up this week. He himself has had a bit of a rough time, but he managed to win his way into the Unhinged triple cage match, where he took a pretty nasty fall through one of the cages, but from what we heard, he is as good as new, so he will be ready to take on the world again!

Blake Church: The Coalition is back for a second strike with the reigning CWG Tag Team champions The Lost Boys taking on The Forsaken in a non-title match, and this time we get The Shadow and Mia Rayne in the ring, the first time they fight together, so a long-term union against a brand-new twosome.

Charles State: Don’t call them a twosome, Blake, you don’t want to incur the wrath of Ataxia.

Blake Church: My bad, against a brand-new team, better?

Charles State: For sure safer. The Australians are coming off a bitter and intense match against their Coalition cohorts The Harbingers at Unhinged and seemingly have put aside their differences, creating the happy, if somewhat dysfunctional, family again and they surely are chomping at the bits to prove to their partners that they still have everything they need to advance their stable’s goals.

Blake Church: On the other hand The Forsaken are still wreaking havoc all over the place and right now Ataxia is even the reigning Impact champion, but even though they are not necessarily in the title pictures, they seem to be happy enough to cause mayhem and if you have seen earlier this week, the Soulsearch seems to be back on, so nobody will be safe anymore, who will be next on the black list?

Charles State: One troubled soul, albeit in a different way, is next up with Caledonia taking on D.C. Caledonia’s last few weeks could fill a book and maybe a movie or two, with the Academy battle, the gruesome match at Unhinged for the future of the CWF, the Institute and God knows what, and then, of course, also the unknown whereabouts of her husband Dan Highlander, that has to way on her mind.

Blake Church: Definitely, on the other hand we have D.C., who came in with a splash and after that has failed to make any more than a faint ripple in the CWF ocean, having been relegated to a supporting role of Christian Starr within their E.G.O. stable that still has to take off or really show anything past their first appearance several weeks ago, so he has a lot to prove and against Cali (not that Cali, the other Cali) that will be a big task.

Charles State: Remind me to let Rish know not to book a match with both of them in Cali in Colombia...

Blake Church: Ooh, yes, that could be total confusion...

Charles State: There is no confusion, though, in our next match, with the two resident cult leaders clashing, Elisha now having taken full control of the Spirit Science Research Institute and Nerezza building his own personal cult there, and neither of these gentlemen, or gentlecreatures, are known for their tact and subtlety, so this could be a match of quite epic proportions.

Blake Church: Two men that have absolutely no scruples and no morality, coming to think of it, Nerezza would be an almost perfect poster boy for the SSRI, if he didn’t have his very own and very brutal agenda… Either way, I don’t think either of them will show any kind of mercy towards the other, so whoever has to clean the ring after they are done, might be a tall order...

Charles State: Two more matches and both for our top two titles, starting with the Paramount title. For the first time we see it this high up the card, but one look at the contenders shows why, because this is the ultimate battle of past and present.

Blake Church: Christian Starr, the currently reigning, yet undefeated champion that has declared the Paramount title THE most important in CWF is facing the man, who put exactly this title on the map several years ago and still is considered THE Paramount champion, Jarvis King.

Charles State: Starr is swimming on this huge wave of confidence, even though Payne has had to help him before, which can be a huge advantage in a match like this, also because King has to always worry about Shane Donovan maybe showing up, but if his knee holds up, this will most definitely be the maybe defining challenge for Christian Starr.

Blake Church: Our very own Charles State undertook a trip into beautiful Halifax to meet up with the challenger.

Charles State: You are facing Christian Starr in the clash of Paramount champions, past and present. What does it mean to fight for "your" own title to you?

Jarvis King: First of all – Blake, Charles – thank you for inviting me on to Church and State; it’s a real pleasure to be here. Now, to answer your question, I said it on KingCast. I’m fighting for something that is incredibly precious to me, and I’m doing it against a man who is a worthy and capable champion. I can’t take an inch away from Christian STARR, and I can’t diminish anything that he’s done so far. What I can say is this – that title, the Paramount Championship…my title…she’s something that means more to me than almost anything else I’ve done in my career.

Yeah, sure, I was an incredibly successful World Champion. Absolutely, I was a Grand Slam Winner, which was fantastic. I was inducted into the CWF Hall of Fame, which was one of the greatest honours of my life…but it all began – every bit of it – with me, Franklin Frederickson, and the Paramount Championship. She’s how I began my career; she’s the beating butterfly wings that caused a hurricane. She means everything to me, and I can’t wait to have her back.

Charles State: You are still embroiled in a fierce battle with Shane Donovan, how much of that and what he did to your family, Jack and Ian, is on your mind when you try to focus on Starr?

Jarvis King: I’m not going to sit here and lie to you and tell you that I’m solely focussed on Christian STARR. I’m not going to tell you that I don’t always have Shane Donovan at the back of my mind, and I’m not going to pretend that I don’t know that, when it comes down to it, that’s exactly what Shane wants, and is exactly what STARR is hoping will be the deciding factor that gives him the edge.

Here’s what it is, though – this Monday, I step into the ring to compete for the first time since Modern Warfare. When that bell rings, I get to do what Jarvis King does best. When Christian and I lock up for the first time, and the sparks begin to fly… everything else will fall away. The match…that’s all that will matter.

When I step into that ring, I am an artist, and that ring is my canvas. And I’m Van Gogh in a world of finger painters. That’s going to be the deciding factor, not Shane Donovan.

Charles State: Are you afraid that there might be any interference or attack during or around your match that might negatively influence the outcome?

Jarvis King: Afraid of interference? (laughs)…I plainly expect it. Christian will probably have at least one of his E.G.O. cronies at ringside, and they will do what sycophants do best – try earn their paycheques by being a factor in proceedings. And then you have Shane. His whole M.O. is to try to attack when you aren’t expecting it. He tries to blindside, to maim, and then to get away without facing the consequences.

Now, when I tell you that Shane’s a coward, I don’t want you to get it twisted – I’m not saying this to insult or deride him. When I call him a rat, it’s not that I think he’s worthy of derision on this factor alone. No, what I’m doing when I say that is just correctly identifying him. I say it entirely respectfully, if you’ll allow. A coward, a rat…they do what they do out of a desire to self-preserve. A rat has to be cunning, has to be clever, in order to survive. A coward has to pick his spot to show any bravery. The mistake, however, is greed. Shane could’ve just done what he did at Modern Warfare, and then go away. He instead had to make an issue of it. He wasn’t satisfied and he decided to stick around to try and get some more. Now I know that, and now I know the cards in his hand. And now I can be ready for him.

As for Christian…well, it’s like I said on KingCast. I know every arrow in his quiver, so to speak, because they were once mine. He’s a damn good archer, but the thing is, he doesn’t have the proficiency with that bow like I did almost a decade ago. I spoke a lot about the similarities between me and Christian this week. I spoke about where he falters in comparison to yours truly. Here’s something that you’re probably not going to hear from a lot of guys in this industry, though – Christian STARR has every chance to become more than Jarvis King ever was. It’s true. He has the tools, he has the talent, he has the raw materials to build himself into something great. The thing is, he’s not there yet.

So, every play that he and his little E.G.O. friends have? I don’t just know them; I wrote them, and they’re going to need every single one of them to even come close to making this a fair fight. And if, if, they throw everything they have at me, it will be close. Close, but not quite there, because there’s only one King in the CWF worth mentioning, and on Monday, it’s coronation day once again. Bow down, baby. Bow down.

Blake Church: And it is Women’s Revolution month at CWF and we have an all-girl main event with MJ Flair defending her title against the last member of Coalition - Autumn Raven. It may come as a surprise to some to see her in a title bout, but MJ has stressed several times, she is a defending champion and has spoken out in favour of the girls around the fed as well, so Autumn gets a shot to prove herself!

Charles State: Committed to do it on her own, without Silas by her side, Autumn is facing an enormous uphill battle against our champion, but some people manage to rise to the occasion. MJ, on the other hand, has to be really careful not to underestimate her opponent, but this young lady has proved remarkable ring intelligence in the last few months that are the almost polar opposite to the at times psychotic approach of Autumn, so one could almost say that two worlds collide here.

Blake Church: And these are just the matches, I am sure that there will be plenty of more action between and around them as well, since we are just a mere three weeks away from Paradise, our big outdoor PPV live from Atlantic City, so a lot of things are heating up!

Charles State: To stay in the know, tune in Monday evening for Evolution, available for streaming on all devices with your membership of the CWF Network, subscribe today and get your first month free, including Paradise, this is an offer you can’t really refuse! Well, you can, but seriously, why would you?

Blake Church: We hope to be able to welcome you again next week, I am Blake Church and this was CWF’s Church vs. State. Good evening.
