Overall Rating (1-10, 10=best, 1=Worst): 9. Rock solid PPV, a credit to the fed. Best Match: I’m going to be selfish and say the triple threat tag. From start to finish it was a rollercoaster, and the ending was one of the best I’ve seen. Best Commentary Line: Jim Gunt: Ataxia’s shenanigans will be his downfall, especially if he keeps getting hit in his unmentionables… Mike Rolash: Balls, Jim, nuts, gonads, they are very mentionable. Jim Gunt: Just because you like to talk about them does NOT make them any more mentionable, man! Best Segment: Ouroboros. Honorable Mention: Gal Pals Best Surprise: Rish’s betrayal of his team. (Disclosure: I knew this one was coming, but I love it as a twist ending). Best Feud/Storyline: Tough one. I actually enjoyed the Breaking of the Coalition (not least because I wrote the match that started it!) Best Moment (new category that I’m adding because this moment deserves recognition): Jace sacrifices himself to save Caledonia. Perfect end to Jace’s arc this month. MVP of the Week: Alex and Justin, for backstage stuff Ending Thoughts/Predictions for the next show: Going to be an interesting month! See you in Paradise. Edited by Caledonia, Apr 14 2018, 03:59 PM.

Overall Rating (1-10, 10=best, 1=Worst): 9, some great action, surprising outcomes, up to four people dead... Best Match: REALLY hard to say, Triple threat was awesome, the Briefcase one was great as well... Best Commentary Line: No. Best Segment: Ouroboros Honorable Mention: Gal Pals Best Surprise: Rish working with Elisha Best Feud/Storyline: King vs. Solstice (and Flair vs. Mora) MVP of the Week: MJ Flair Ending Thoughts/Predictions for the next show: It's going to be a weird one! Kon'nichiwa Tōkyō! ------------------ I wrote. It's longer as usual as introduction, but I wanted to go for the punch line of Church and State forgetting Jim and Mike at the end. The band Ningen-Isu really exists and I added that part in two minutes before Justin posted it, lol. Welcome to my Home ------------------ I definitely liked the outfit of Ataxia with the feathers and top hat, I still also like that he considers CWF his. It would be interesting to see, if this could be spun into more of a storyline. Anderson vs. Anderson --------------------- I wrote. I tried to have some fun with it with bringing Payne in as guest ref. The feud, well, there was not much to work with, so I just tried to make it entertaining for the readers. It was pretty clear anyways how it would end... Unexpected Guests ----------------- Surprise to see Elijah and Omega in Tokyo, clearly an intro to what is about to come. The Test -------- Simple genius. Battle of the Chefs ------------------- Unfortunately a little less contested due to the no-show, but I found the match was awesome to read with the kitchen utensils and stuff and the puns, so my only complaint is that it was too short in the end. I know, it's the almost opener, but it was just so entertaining ![]() Reconnection ------------ Can't help buit feel that Elijah is the big puppet master behind everything... Why am I getting this Yoda vibe from him? Dangerous Dan vs. TLS --------------------- This was one match for me that didn't have any felt build-up, but was just "there". Angled previous match, one no-show for this one, so to say the least, the hype just wasn't there. The match itself was entertaining, but this would have been one where at a "real" show the fans would be chanting "Rusev Day". Fighting Dogs ------------- Reinforcing the animosities between the Lost Boys and the Harbingers, nothing new, but it builds some hype towards the match later on. Ouroboros --------- Nice tying in of Nagashima and Hirosaki with the Institute's goals and good build-up towards the match and the big battle. Paramount match --------------- Nice match, great action and Starr again just inching ahead. Surprised not to see D.C. try to come in and help, since it is no-DQ would have been a perfect opportunity. I liked Mia coming back and getting to Azrael, a nice detail that should lead to an interesting feud. Reborn ------ Did not see this one coming, not the best track record, one can only hope it'll turn out better than at the first try... Just saying... Gal Pals -------- I love the awkwardness from both sides and also really nice that this has been picked up from the last show, nice little detail of continuity. King vs. Donovan ---------------- This has been a feud that's been going on for a while and even though the match was angled, both of the rp's here would probably have won three matches in this PPV. Shows the talent we have on hand here. The match was great and worthy the label of a grudge match, culminating in the return of Jarvis, can't wait to read the next chapter! Between a Rock and a Hard Place ------------------------------- Jace's world is still crumbling... Kenny ----- Nice little light-hearted segment with a nice punch at the end by Cali. Tag Title match --------------- Good match, lots of back and forth, but three points of criticism: 1) Too long! 2) The reconciliation doesn't feel right. After all the animosities in the segment and at the beginning of the match, then a hard fought match and suddenly it's all love, peace and harmony again? Nope, don't feel it. 3) Did I mention how long it was?? It's My Destiny --------------- Covering Marksman's ultra heel-ism perfectly, furthers his standpoint as resident asshole and it shows, he is ready! To the Victor Goes the Spoils ----------------------------- Oh, Sunset and Elisha are making some sort of a deal? Intriguing. Did not expect them to actually talk to each other, period! 2018 ---- Another very stark demonstration of power by Nerezza, however this read like a CD post, not a segment at the PPV, it felt out of place and too detached from what was happening at the show. Impact Title match ------------------ I wrote. Hope that it was entertaining to read, I tried to combine Ataxia's wackiness, Dorian being fed up with Ataxia and just the general hilarity of a ladder match. I was kind of stuck on it, then the ladder match at NXT New Orleans came on and bam, I had inspiration! Here Comes the Cavalry ---------------------- Forsaken stick together and we don't like Elisha. I actually found a website to translate English into Scottish and it worked pretty good for McLean! Arrival ------- OK, they are there! Which obviously leads into... Higher Wire Fire Tire Mire Plier Gyre Liar ------------------------------------------ As to be expected it was all over the place and over the top, we potentially have two people dead (especially the one that fell "several hundred feet"), dramatic match that will be a real mess to clean up! The Payback Clause ------------------ Ah, two more gone? Jeez, this PPV has a higher body count than...many other events. Another baffler, Rish and Elisha working together! Elisha as double agent working with both Sunset and Rish, so he was a winner no matter what! World Heavyweight title ----------------------- Hard fought battle, great continuation from last week, you could feel the two opponents hating each other's guts, down and dirty. Compared to many of the over the top stuff, this is grounded wrestling of the old school. Who's Next ---------- Direct follow up to the match, and logical that MJ would like to see what might be coming her way soon. Greet the Dawn -------------- What the heck? Rish on speed? Elijah a dealer? And what is this 300 year deal? Briefcase match --------------- Loved it, great action, hilarious spots, you can really follow how the match is moving from the ring to outside, then up to the second and then third match. A little surprised that the weapons were used so sparingly, but that might be due to the time constraints. |

Kon'nichiwa Tōkyō! Another one of our now famous Church & State/International Announce Team opens. The fact that Alex goes way out of his way to pull this off (as well as the many other things he does for the fed) is truly amazing and I will never stop saying how much I appreciate all the work he puts into the fed. I can honestly say that I don't think this fed would even still be active if it wasn't for all he does, and not only are we still around, but we've been thriving for months. And it is because of this man's work, so how about a god damn round of applause? Welcome To My Home Incredible for the first "true" segment. Ataxia and his "CWF is my home" angle has been one of my favorite personal storylines lately, and it really does make sense in the context because of how the last CWF shut down and how he would want to try to protect that from happening again. I very much enjoyed this bit: "This will be either our darkest hour or our brightest moment, but know this...No one will destroy my home. Not this time. Not without killing me...in...that...very...ring." Great read. Career Match: Billy Anderson vs. Tyler Anderson Aannnd the Unstoppable Force is about to finally put a stop to each other, here we go! Right away we get Tyler coming out as the face loved by the fans and Billy getting booed, which is completely logical, and then Payne as the special guest referee, which may not be logical but was almost an obvious choice at this point lol. As for the match itself, it was definitely written well, especially for an opening bout. We had some fun moments with Payne keeping the two of them in line, and then of course the Lunatic Drop puts poor old Tyler out of his misery to end it. What was surprising was the attack by Freddie Styles afterward, what a way to make a comeback. ![]() Unexpected Guests Unexpected indeed, Little Miss O is back! Wooticles! So this segment was very mysterious, very ominous, we know that Elijah, Omega, and Eris are here but...why? I guess with Elijah there are always more questions than answers, and that is one thing that has never changed. The line about "this night being built on betrayal after betrayal" was very intriguing. Commercials A great idea done extremely well, as always. The Test Battle of the Chefs So unfortunately we have someone who no showed versus someone who is leaving the fed versus someone who gave up being in this match and made it into what we have now. For all of that, this match was written quite well, the kitchen equipment being used definitely added a funny touch, and the writer made the best out of it. Reconnection Firstly, the descriptions of the unused parts of the arena were written unbelievably well here, and pulled me right into the scene. "The lockers on the wall are busted and broken, the tiles on the floor are cracked." Not overly descriptive, but just enough that you know what the locker room looks like, you are there to see it. Then we get a very solemn, almost meditative Elijah with Amber, the Enigma knowing that "tonight is the night". What that means he either does not yet know or is not willing to tell Amber and all of us quite yet. Either way, we all cannot wait to find out. Falls Count Anywhere Match: Dangerous Dan vs. The Lost Soul So right off the bat, it's very disappointing that TLS no showed and after talking to him going into this, I was figuring on both handlers RPing even if was planning on leaving afterward. But despite that Dan put up a good rp and deserved a good match, and that's what he got here. It wasn't the longest of the night by any means, but some good spots like the Cyclorama and the finish put DD back in a good spot moving forward here in CWF. Fighting Dogs Silas and Sam about to go at it right from the start, the two hotheads of the Coalition stable's respective two tag teams. I love this. Autumn & Dean, the more sensible members holding them back, I love that too. This one really gets you into their tag title match later in the night, congrats on that. Ouroboros The very bold Elisha speaking of the wrongings of the United States and their crimes of war, and then the illusion of democracy and morality, it is definitely right down the alley of the Moonchild and to see Choronzon and now Cassandra by his side, this man may be more dangerous now than he ever has been. I hate to be on the two teams set against Ouroboros. Paramount Title Fatal Fourway Match So we have Christian Starr, the undefeated champion who although having been tested quite a bit the last few weeks, is still undefeated...versus three of the top contenders for that said championship. This match was the first one that felt truly competitive, RP wise and match wise, and I appreciated that the first elimination was made fairly late into the match since all four of these writers really could have walked away with the win here. Mia's pep talk to herself was funny, Azrael and Impakt both got some really good spots in, and Christian Starr once AGAIN walks out with the Paramount Title and his undefeated streak still in tact. Reborn The rebirth of a man that a lot of people never thought they'd see back in CWF, eh? I will be brief and honest that Dan's come back to CWF was discussed in the coming days of the PPV, I'm hoping that a lot of the hard feelings from the past can be worked out and that everyone will be mature going forward. As far as this segment goes, it was my idea for Vossk to get right into the thick of things with Starr because I feel the more people we can throw into this wild Paramount division the better. I like that this one was done by an onscreen video instead of Vossk coming out to confront Starr or even attack him with a blindside. Maybe a slight bit too much dialogue, but it read quite well and I'm excited to see where this one goes. Gal Pals I thoroughly enjoyed this one. We could go a million different ways with something like this...Mia Rayne breaking away from the Forsaken and Autumn leaving the Coalition to team together. Both groups possibly having some kind of alliance? Maybe even an eventual feud between Mia and Autumn? You just never freaking know, just the character building here and the relationships being created, wow...I like it. Grudge Match: Jack King vs. Shane Donovan Match 2 in the Donovan/Solstice vs. Kings saga and once again it did not disappoint. When you get two handlers with the intelligence as these two men, it does not matter if this one has been angled or a straight up RP match, it doesn't matter if this one lasts one month or one whole fucking year, Matt and John are going to deliver. The only thing I have to complain about is that both of them can't be full-timers LOL. As far as the match goes; interesting that it starts out with an interview with Tara & Jack, and then we get the cocky Donovan flipping off poor Summits as he tries to tell him the rules of the match. What comes next is a nicely written match with both men using their own personal strengths to their advantages, ending with the return of the prolific Jarvis King! The King of CWF is back, baybay! Between A Rock and a Hard Place Very interesting segment here. Jace Valentine wants nothing to do with being interviewed by Tara, he is just ready to go out there and right the wrongs that he's made. In the end we see Vegas and the slap to Valentine, continues peaking interest... Kenny Immediately I think "who killed kenny?" lol. Secondly, the dialogue between Eris & Omega has me in an absolute uproar, laughing my fucking ass off. I definitely missed Little Miss O. One person that certainly has not missed her is Caledonia, and boy that "go to hell" was a cold, hard statement. Tag Team Title Match This one had a lot of hype going in, and in my opinion was one of the better done feuds going into this month's PPV. Although this match came in pretty long compared to the other midcard or even upper card matches, I would say after being cut down a little bit was still done quite well as always for Lewis (when he's not putting things in past tense :P). I enjoyed the reversals in this one, I think sometimes us as writers forget to add in reversals and submissions and the little tie-ups that make matches seem more realistic, and when they're done right, it really makes that match read great. Sam being Powerbombed right onto Dean was sick. The Lost Boys went over in the end of what was a close call RP judging wise, and who would have seen them regrouping afterward? It's My Destiny There is one thing on Jay "Marksman" Mora's mind and it is that CWF World Heavyweight Title. It is his destiny. Unfortunately for Marksman we find out later in the night that his destiny may be taking longer to get to than he may've thought, but this was still a very quality segment, where you see a scathing promo backstage with a more than ready Marksman ready to finally take his place atop of this company. To The Victor Goes The Spoils So the Book of Beginnings and Endings is going to be sitting atop the balcony in the Higher, Wire, Fire Match? Could this match have any bigger stakes than it already had? 2018 What a powerful segment here. Obviously not within the confines of the Tokyo Dome, we see Nerezza taking control over a line of his followers, with test tubes of only god knows what around them. These zombies are the members of Nerezza's movement, a movement to take down the Powers That Be. Not only does the Beast want to take down the Powers before they do the same to him, he wants to see each and every member of the CWF roster suffer. Ladder Match for Impact Title/Ataxia's Unhinged Briefcase Spot Just like the King/Donovan saga, this is the 2nd match in their ongoing feud, and really could not have any bigger stakes than this match has. A title and a spot in the main event of this PPV is on the line. First we have Ataxia as Godzilla which was a funny surprise, and then the spots in this match were my god just fucking incredible. If you do not read this match you are doing yourself a true disservice, as the weeks went along Alex was sending me different spots here and I was just amazed as I read through them and then back again to do this review. Great ladder match, and now Ataxia moves on as the only new champion of the night onto the cage match! Here Comes the Calvary The Shadow has the druids bring Ataxia to the back and make sure he is still able to compete later tonight. Such a charming fellow. Arrival So now Elijah, Omega and Eris are at ringside? Why do I get the feeling that something big is about to go down here...? Triple Threat Higher, Wire, Fire Tag Team Match for Control of CWF When you have a match with so many competitors it can be hard to get them all their spots, but I found while I was writing the main event that having said match be a gimmick match does help alleviate all of that. As far as gimmick matches, this one couldn't have been any "bigger" of one. We had a lot of the line here, and the match was written incredibly well. All the weapons, the flame, the dangerous falls, the betrayals...holy fuck...how much more can I say about this match without giving it away entirely? Another one that you truly have to read to believe! The Payback Clause Wow. So the Tormented Soul has finally left Chaolin Sahn and went to Sunset, and now Sahn knocks the both of them off the balcony. And Rish has control over CWF after making a deal with the devil, his own "payback clause". That bastard. World Title Match: MJ Flair (c) vs. Jay Mora First off, this has been a great World Title feud. It may not be one of those long feuds that lasts throughout several matches, but if you think about it, in some ways it really has been because this one started a long time ago all the way back at their match in the Modern Warfare tournament. In this No Holds Barred Match we see both competitors getting their fair share of offense, including Marksman nearly having the victory with the Marked Superkick. In the end a very game MJ once again walks out with the World Title in hand, making everyone wonder just who is going to be able to take said title out of her hands. Quality match that I enjoyed from the start to the finish, worked very well for me as the co-main event of the pay per view and a World Title Match. Greet The Dawn Very strong segment here that leads us directly into our next "special", the 2318 show. Ominous as all hell, and the betrayed Elijah slamming the stomach and then shoving the pill in Rish's mouth, and then the "see you in 300 years bit"? Great stuff done by Jonty here, a segment I didn't even have to add or edit a thing on, that's how much I enjoyed the dialogue and really this entire segment. Unhinged Triple Cage Briefcase Match Reading back on this match, the PPV main event that I wrote, I'm actually pretty damn satisfied with it. I kind of wish I would have had the time to make the ending of the match take a little bit longer to get to, but I think overall the length of the match was just about where it should have been, and really all five of these competitors got in some pretty sick spots. This one was a very close call to judge, and I want to give a special congratulations to Jass for Amber Ryan being the one to get there. Now to see when she is going to cash that baby in! Hell of a show guys, thank you for bearing with me as I had to fly back to Pennsylvania the day before the show, thank you to Alex for putting up with everyone sending shit in late, and thank you to everyone who wrote a match, segment, anything. You guys rock, let's keep this train rolling down the damn tracks towards Paradise! |

Overall Rating (1-10, 10=best, 1=Worst): 9 Best Match: Unhinged briefcase. congrats to Amber. Was hoping we could finally get that match in but alas it wasn't meant to be. Best Segment: Unexpected guests was a good read. I'll probably be keeping tabs on those rps. Best Surprise: Ataxia winning the belt. Best Feud/Storyline: Think the back and forth between ataxia and hawkhurst has been awesome. MVP of the Week: Christian Starr. Ever since he beat me he has not looked back. I don't see him losing that title for a long time. Ending Thoughts/Predictions: This place has been fun for me but that was my last match in CWF for the time being. I don't have the time to write the way I need to in order to take my character the direction I would like to. Thanks to everyone. |

Kon'nichiwa Tokyo! The Intro. Loved the subtlety of "a target over a picture of Jay Mora." Marksman, of course. Also an awesome touch to start with the Japanese commentary team. Also think it's a nice detail that Church apparently speaks Japanese. Giving each team a shot at announcing a match was great - Alex really outdid himself with this one. Welcome To My Home Ataxia, of all people, welcomes the fans to Unhinged. Interesting choice, though it's non-obvious, which I like. The Fall of the House of Anderson I'll be honest with you, the finish of this match was possibly the most obvious telegraph since Roman beat H at Wrestlemania 32. I don't want to be nitpicky or mean but in my opinion as a person who reads, this match was not built very well. Interesting twist with Payne as the referee, however. Match was well written, just didn't have any real tension to it. However, I did legit mark out for Freddie Styles. Unexpected Guests Don't really have much context for these guys except Eris - he had the right point of view in being there for his tag team partner. Commercial Honestly, they were all good. Not gonna review each one individually. The Test Forgot Dan wrote this. Love it. Rex vs Gordon Goldberg/Lesnar I. One guy no-showed (tho due to a rational reason) and the other has since resigned. What can ya do, huh? Reconnection Damn, the Institute has ruined everyone's lives, hasn't it? DD vs TLS Good, hard-fought match. The only thing I'm looking at is that this was billed as a falls count anywhere match and they never left ringside. Fighting Dogs The Coalition looks on the verge of melting down once again. They seem surprisingly civil once Autumn and Dean show up. Was interesting. Ouroboros Fiddling while Rome burns. Paramount title match OR Christian STARR gets even more insufferable Typo - "Mia's stock has been on the rise ADD of late" - should be 'as.' Seemed a bit compressed for a four way, but this was a dense match with a lot of moving parts. Good on STARR for retaining. Reborn Iffy on placement and tone. STARR and DC pull a surprise attack/statement of purpose at Evolution, only for DC to not be on the show and for someone else to interrupt/surprise/drop a gauntlet down in front of STARR. If this was specifically directed at STARR, it could've waited a show. If it wasn't, and Vossk just wanted to return against someone, it should've gone somewhere else. As a "viewer" I've already forgotten about Starr/DC. Also, the inclusion of the exact state of mind and tone of voice of each speaker on the same line as their dialogue made it very unclear to read. You should be able to get the tone across with separate description or the words you use. This just made it complicated. Gal Pals Normally I'd consider this a bit of hacky writing with the "Let's be friends" presented as a conscious choice instead of a natural extension of a story. Mia and Autumn, however, are both off-kilter, so it fits their oddness. Jack King vs Shane Donovan Battle of the Old Guys, most of the history was lost on me. Well written, I just probably would have enjoyed it more if I had all of the context in my brain. Between a Rock and a Hard Place I still don't buy Jace as a good guy again. He's focused, yes, but he has a lot of ground to cover if he really expects to 'right those wrongs.' Also didn't like Vegas' appearance - it really came out of nowhere and (admittedly without having read the match yet) added nothing to the segment. Kenny This seemed like the polar opposite of the last - the guest stars were there from the start and added to the understanding of Caledonia's state of mind. The Mega Coalition EXPLODES From a wrestling standpoint, this sort of ended anticlimactically, but from a real life one, it was perfect. Friends with a personal conflict that gets violent - they need to beat on each other for a while and get all that aggression out. Long match. They said they wanted to steal the show; they came pretty close. It's My Destiny STARR and Jace need to take a cue from Jay Mora - he's the king when it comes to the douchebag heel. The only real issue is the same issue from the Marksman RP - he's all in. There is literally nowhere for him to go with a loss in his title shot. To the Victor go the Spoils See what I mean? Too much complexity in the Institute. A matter this personal shouldn't have the opposing teams this civil to each other pre-match. 2018 Does... Does Nerezza realize he has a match? Does he realize he's a wrestler? Good portrayal of a cult leader, but the death at the end stretches suspension of disbelief. Dorian vs Ataxia For storyline/continuity purposes, I'm surprised this one was as late in the show as it was. A ladder match where the winner has to wrestle in a cage match - should've gone on first or second to "give the winner a chance to recover." Here Comes the Cavalry Interesting twist; the Shadow is now involved. Arrival Even more interesting; Caledonia's unwanted backup is in the crowd. Triple Threat Institute CWF Academy Pile of Attacky Things This is how you write multiple person, multiple team matches - you can cut from place to place without having to follow any action. It helps. Moment of redemption for Jace, what should be the end of the Institute since Jace/Caledonia owns it. But no, it's "Team Rish" - which probably means a coming heel turn. MJF vs Marksman I wrote. To piggyback on what Alex said, since I figured there would be plenty of over the top ridiculousness on this show I consciously wanted this to be a grounded, realistic fight between two people who have hated each other since their debuts (or close enough to it). Who's Next? Should be large and centered in the title - I thought it would be a logical next step that MJF would want to be in the front row to see who wins the briefcase. Greet the Dawn More Institute betrayal. Sort of invalidates the match if Rish now owns the CWF and Institute but Elijah and Omega can overpower him. Main Event Clusterfuck of awesome. Congrats to Amber Ryan. |

Going to post my review later today, but briefly:
Eris is genderqueer - neither male nor female. They are a they, not a he.
Rish and Elisha made a deal - Rish takes the CWF, Elisha takes the Institute. Also not sure how the boss of the company being overpowered invalidates him being boss of the company (see for eg, WWE, 1997-present). |

Aces on Eris - I was not clear on that, can know for the future. Didn't remember the 'deleted' segment - that makes the subsequent much clearer. I was referring to Rish winning, then immediately losing, which made the "win" look empty. The deleted segment that specifies the deal between Rish and Elisha puts some much needed context into it.
