Blake Church: Konnichiwa, we are coming live to you from the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, with the big Unhinged PPV just days away! Charles State: The final stop of our tour through Asia will be a culmination of a lot of feuds and paths, with every title on the line and some explosive setups that will even decide the future of the very federation we are part of! Blake Church: This is “Church vs. State”! ![]() Charles State: I’m Charles State and this is Blake Church, and what better place to debut our Unhinged pay per view than Tokyo, center of Japanese wrestling and millennia of fighting history to boot. Blake Church: Like Charles said before, pretty much everything is on the line here at Unhinged, from the future of CWF, the ownership of the SSRI, every title and even a career, so don’t tell us we don’t give you a lot to sink your teeth in, especially if you think of this show as a 10-course dinner. Charles State: In our first course we have something quite big on the line this time around, a whole career. It was not a very well-kept secret that the Anderson brothers have not quite seen eye to eye for quite a while now, and now they are about to settle the score once and for all. Blake Church: The premise is simple, whoever loses will have to quit his CWF career for good and quite frankly, given the beatings he has received of late, the bets undoubtedly are on Billy and I believe we agree that this is the pretty much only conceivable outcome, right? Charles State: Definitely. A little less predictable is course number two, which is our Battle of the Chefs, Atticus Rex against Ramsay Gordon, we are not sure if this will take place in a kitchen or a ring and also if there would be any other chef or kitchen related items or weapons involved, but either way this has the potential to be a mouth-watering affair. Blake Church: Chef Atticus has had a good start to his CWF career with a commanding victory over Franklin Fredricksson, while Chef Gordon’s fortunes have been a little less, well, fortunate, but he has definitely held his own in his matches so far. But like you said, a lot will depend on what kind of match this will be, chopstick duel to the death... Charles State: Haha, depending on how you use them, those things actually can cause quite some damage, even if you just try to eat with them... Blake Church: Good that you can ask for forks, otherwise you’d probably have starved to death by now... Charles State (patting his belly): I have some sustenance to last me for a while. Blake Church: Indeed you do… Anyways, on to match number three, where Dangerous Dan and The Lost Soul have a score to settle after the double disqualification in Shanghai, two of the longest-standing veterans of CWF in only their second bout, so if anything, it’s for pride and honour. Charles State: Far more is at stake when course number four comes with a very diverse set of ingredients with Christian Starr meeting Impakt meeting Azrael meeting Mia Rayne in a Fatal Fourway for the Paramount title. Blake Church: Two weeks ago Impakt almost had Starr down for the count when Ms. Rayne decided that there was not enough chaos and mayhem and left her very definitive stamp on the match, so here we are now, seeing her with a shot at the title as well, where Azrael came from we do not really know and I would assume that he does not really care either. Charles State: One thing we will have to see is, if Christian Starr’s new stable Ego might interfere with things, since we have seen Payne get involved with things a bit more of late, so this could be a decisive factor, I guess as long as we manage to keep the referee awake all the way through this time around. Blake Church: Yes, we’ve had a few instances of late, where the refs took a hit, maybe we should get them armour or something... Charles State: That would be quite the idea and I am sure that Jack King could use some armour when he steps into the ring with Shane Donovan next in what most definitely would be a meat course. Blake Church: The King vs. Donovan saga has taken on almost A Game of Thrones dimensions, with three Kings involved with this battle and Uncle Jack is the latest one trying to get back at Donovan for severely injuring Jarvis King and trying to mutilate him. Charles State: Donovan has proved in the past that he will not shy away from anything to clinch the victory and Mr. King might be in some big trouble, if he does not come prepared. Blake Church: What course are we at? Six? Charles State: I think so... Blake Church: Tag team action, Part 1! The reigning champions the Lost Boys will be facing off against their former cohorts, the Coalition and it is safe to say that there is no love lost between these two teams. Each team claims to be responsible for the Australians holding their titles right now... Charles State: ...but we all know that Silas is not really all that interested in the, well, interests of his stable mates as long as he can move forward, but him and Autumn definitely will be able to prove that they are more than just puppet master and puppet, being able to go for the gold themselves at Unhinged. Blake Church: Next course and next title match, but this is far more than just a battle for the Impact Championship between Dorian Hawkhurst and Ataxia. Charles State: Well, I think everybody is in agreeance that this feud has been one of the longest and hottest CWF has ever seen and it is just as obvious that this is not just for the title anyways. Blake Church: Definitely not, but either way, this match has the steaks, hah, raised even higher with both the title and with it Ataxia’s spot in the big Unhinged briefcase match dangling off a wire from the roof of the Tokyo Dome in this good old-fashioned ladder match! Charles State: That being said, nothing is old-fashioned if Ataxia is involved and as he himself put it, he is not just in it for the titles and other victories, but he wants to take back what is his, the CWF! Blake Church: There are a few people that might think a little bit differently in that matter, namely the participants in our eighth course, where Team Rish, Team Sunset and Team Elisha meet up in a Higher, Wire, Fire match. Charles State: I do not see why we would have to explain this match, since it seems pretty straight forward, but here we go: The ropes are covered in barbed wire, there is fire on the edge of the ring and if that was not enough already, the combatants have to scale the sides of the arena to retrieve some sort of symbol that will be somewhere on a higher balcony... Blake Church: So kind of like the briefcase match, just without briefcase, no cages, but barbed wire and fire and a trail through the fans? Charles State: Pretty much. Oh, and the winner will get both the ownership of the CWF and the Institute and did I mention hardcore rules, no disqualification and pretty much no nothing else? Blake Church: Oh, the gift that just keeps on giving... Charles State: Absolutely. Either way, this will be one of the most intense matches you’ll see, especially with Team Rish comprising of frenemies Caledonia and Jace, Team Elisha of Elisha himself and his number one Choronzon and Team Sunset of the chief himself together with his, not sure what he is, John Mapother. Blake Church: It will be hard to beat this one, but MJ Flair and Jay Mora in our main course are going to do their darndest to make their second encounter a memorable one, especially since it is for the World title this time around and there will be no prisoners taken, that is for sure. Charles State: Definitely not, there is no love lost between them in any way, shape or form, so this match will be as intense as they come. I don’t think that Ms Flair will be holding back when it means to knock some sense into Marksman, she tried with the chair last time around, so who knows what they might come up with this time, since we are looking at a Tokyo Street Fight match, so no disqualifications, bay bay! So you better like your steaks rare! Blake Church: I would assume that we have reached the dessert now and this one promises pure decadence! Three cages, one of which has weapons, then Amber Ryan, Nerezza, Duce Jones, or Byson Kaliban, The Shadow and the winner of the Dorian vs. Ataxia match in a battle for a briefcase suspended in the third cage to win a shot against the World Champion! Charles State: It will be long, it will be brutal and it will be epic. There are no clear favourites, because each of them really earned their spots and we have former champions in this match, plus the Progeny of Purgatory, Nerezza, who has been on an absolute tear through the federation, plus either Dorian or Ataxia already will have had one grueling match to go through, so they might be the only ones with a distinct disadvantage. Blake Church: That is true, but still, the grand carrot dangling in that cage is likely enough to mobilize enough reserves to keep them going like the Energizer bunny. Charles State: Just not quite as fluffy... Blake Church: Or pink. Charles State: Well, in true Church vs. State tradition we still have one segment that is missing, which is our interview! Blake Church: For obvious reasons we reached out to the participants in our five-way match with one question: Charles State: With the big Unhinged briefcase match that you are a part of, can you please give our viewers just a short comment on the match and then also why you will be the one standing in that cage with the briefcase in hand? Nerezza: It's the biggest match of the night, speaking honestly, even with the World Title on hand. These are competitors that are hungry to reach that next plateau, and hunger comes without boundaries. There will be a level of overstepping the line that determines the play area that which opens up a battlefield the likes of which no one could possibly fathom with or without a clear mind. Nerezza will be the last one standing not for the sake of reaching gold, but for the sake of obtaining the next rung of his revolution. This revolution is established through a successful platform of obliteration. There is no bare minimum - the only standard is blood and the bodies of everyone that choose to defy the Nerezza movement. Duce Jones: This is going to be one for the storybooks. A lot of great athletes are competing in this match. But once that bell rings and that briefcase is unhooked. It's going to be Duce Jones who stands tall with it, cuz no matter how much any of my opponents want to deny it. None of em, has more Juice than Duce... The Shadow: This match has all the traits of a future classic. A brutal classic that will take everything to even get out of the first cage, let alone go higher. Everyone in here has earned their spot through a victory, so there are no flukes, no lucky punches. Every competitor has a very legitimate shot at winning this match and every man or woman left behind will feed the black flame within me to propel me forward and upwards until the briefcase is in my hands... Ataxia: Because...a reckoning is coming...and the only way to save our home...is to be in the position to stop what's coming. To save us...A sacrifice must be made. I am the only one willing to do that... Dorian Hawkhurst: That's a good question, man. I mean, I've got something goin' for me that most people would view as a disadvantage. I'm gonna be pulling double duty. When, and I stress WHEN, I beat Ataxia, I might be a little banged up. But I'll also be warmed up. And by that point, me and them ladders are gonna be good friends. Charles State: Now that you are up to snuff with everything that will be happening at Unhinged this upcoming Saturday, there are no excuses for you not to be glued to whichever device you will be watching this!! Blake Church: No, absolutely not! Titles, careers, federations, institutes, everything it at stake and as any good glutton you should not miss this feast of wrestlingness! Charles State: Be there or miss out on some of the most succulent matchups this side of the Michelin guide! Blake Church: We hope to be able to welcome you again next week, I am Blake Church and this was CWF’s Church vs. State. Good evening. Brought to you by: ![]() |
