Another great EVO in the books, overall our TWENTY SIXTH show since CWF's return, all without a single late show to boot. Thank you to everyone who wrote matches or segments for this show, I truly believe this ended up being one hell of a go-home show for Unhinged. Please enjoy and PLEASE leave your review of the show afterward. Everyone who put time into this one will really appreciate your effort!

Overall Rating (1-10, 10=best, 1=Worst): 8.25 - A lot happening, but it's the go home show before Unhinged, so had to be. Great building of storylines towards the PPV, a few kick ass matches!

Best Match: I had immense fun with the Byson/Nerezza vs. The Forsaken match, because all characters are so clearly defined that it is easy to give them good spots, but since I shouldn't pick my own, lol, I'd say Silas vs. Choronzon

Best Commentary Line: Not again... I read too much stuff throughout the whole thing to remember.

Best Segment: Counselling Session. Massive, but really beautifully pushing the storyline forward.
Honorable Mention: A Picture Says More than a Thousand Screams. So beautifully quirky.

Best Surprise: Mia showing up at the Paramount match, Rish bringing Jace and Caledonia together and DC and Starr coming out at the end.

Best Feud/Storyline: MJ vs. Marksman

MVP of the Week: Silas Artoria

Ending Thoughts/Predictions for the next show: It'll be the PPV and it'll be a big one, with quite a few big storylines coming to a culmination!

Prepare For Landing: Nice segue from last Evo, when Rish was frantically trying to get onto a plane. I'd just be a little worried about his flight taking almost two weeks to get there, but hey. Main thing this establishes is that he is in Tokyo and didn't get lost on the way.

Cheers: Even though they are not meeting in the ring this week, it's a nice little thing to keep things simmering between them.

Welcome to the Dragon's Den: I wrote, standard opening sequence now, gets people ready for the show to start.

Atticus Rex vs. Franklin Fredrickson: Obvious outcome, but it works well as a first statement of Atticus, both in terms of attitude when breaking the count and after the win contuing on to decimate Franklin and then also Lexi's whole womens' equality statement that could make for an interesting alliance or confrontation with MJ down the road.

Appetizer: Great segment to bring the heat for the main event with both contenders making their standpoints VERY clear, that's how you get people amped up!

Dangerous Dan vs. TLS: Match was ok, I may have missed something, but I haven't seen any lead-up to this and also the roleplaying didn't do ANYthing to get any kind of interest up for this match, ok, a few nice spots, they got dq'd and will meet again, but still strikes me as a filler match in the end.

Dance Puppets Dance: Ataxia in the rafters and staking his claim as CWF being his? Sold. Nice touch at the end as well with the mask coming down, leaves you wondering and waiting.

Crazy Lady Squad: Like the introduction of the skillet and it furthers Mia's character. A bloody note sent to Autumn? Hm... Aren't they partners? Can't wait to see the reaction! (Spoiler alert - there is none, which is a letdown.)

Azrael vs. Ramsay Gordon: Short match, but nice dynamics, the ref being out of it for a bit was a nice touch that gave a little spice to the match.

A Shouting Match: Meh, more of the same, we know that Billy hates Tyler, Billy wants to hurt Tyler, Billy wants Tyler gone. Next!

Autumn Raven/Mia Rayne vs. Unstoppable Force: I wrote, didn't have a whole lot to work with, so focused on finishing the set up for the Anderson match at Unhinged and further Mia's character a little more.

Being ReintroDuced?: COnfirmation of Byson still being in charge. Only downside of this story line is that with Silas/Bloodletter and Mia/Peyton we already have two split personality stories going, which takes away a good amount of the effect of this one.

Just Keep Swimming: I love Mia's character, it is so off-kilter, but at the same time lovable and fun. Still love the skillet, her new pet maybe? Really like the continuation of the Mia/Ataxia love story and how it is being built instead of just happening. And also like the little broccoli detail ;)

Starr vs. Impakt: One of the two tightest matches of the night, could have gone anywhere. The match really establishes Impakt as a strong contender that is destined for more. And then suddenly Mia shows up out of nowhere? That was a swerve I did not see coming and sets up a triple threat at Unhinged, since this is the "NXT" title of our little fed, it makes sense to give Mia a shot as well, she has been consistently building up and oculd really make a difference.

All the Bloody Things to Come: This just makes it clearer than clear, Nerezza is THE thing in CWF right now, ruthless, brutal, incredibly strong and on a mission. Whoever stands in his way better be prepared for the worst! Hold on, I'm in his way this show! And next one! Oh damn...

The Halls Have Eyes: Hm. A mysterious note? But that's the wrong locker room, Mia put hers under Autumn's. What is up here? I wanna know!

Shadow: Another great Silas segment, showing his inner workings with the Coalition falling apart, Nerezza having gotten under his skin, now Choronzon on the way, what really made this segment, though, was him finding and catching up with The Chosen and then leading right into...

Silas Artoria vs. Choronzon: ...where the Chosen flies through the curtain before Silas comes to the ring. Good match that got even better when the Bloodletter comes through and completely punishes Choronzon. As mentioned earlier, it is one of three split personalities right now, but it is the most intricate and best established one so far and it works out great, also because of...

Counselling Session: ...the follow-up segment, which is longer than some matches, but even though it may seem like a Silas-overdose, it makes perfect sense to come right now and also with everything it processes with his status at first, then the Lost Boys standing against Silas and Autumn and finally leading into the match at Unhinged, this is big cinema. Compelling storytelling and logical progression. Also nice to see the Bloodletter coming and being hit back out with the chair, which leads me to the one weak point of the whole thing. Autumn is portrayed as a strong member and character within the Coalition, the one with the key to keeping the Bloodletter in check, but outside of Silas' roleplays and segments she does not come across as that and does not actively help to propel the story and is the one letdown in this whole arc.

Room 13: Weird stuff happening! And why am I not surprised that Ouroboros has its fingers in this? Rish now also will be at Unhinged? This is going to get interesting!

Dorian vs. DC: With the exception of Cali's distraction I was really surprised that there was no signs of Ataxia or Starr, which I would have expected to be an almost guarantee. That being said, good match, establishes D.C. as character who will go to any length to get what he wants, but he's not quite there yet to really go for the gold.

Little White Notes: What is the deal today? Mia gives a note, Impakt gets a note and both Jace and Cali also had notes? Anyways, very intriguing to see the two former allies turned enemies turned we are not sure yet not just meet up in a match, but now suddenly also outside of the ring, intriguing and even more so with Rish being the one orchestrating it all, because he wants to take back CWF!

Caledonia vs. Jace: Good match, showing all the animosities still in the game, but at the same time also bringing in the insecurities and trust issues. Also good use of the injury of Cali, big win for Mrs. Highlander!

A Picture Worth a Thousand Screams: Despite Mia being out for blood and chaos and whatnot, I like that she is portrayed as an awkward, almost shy person that is trying to get used to things. I'm starting to feel that I will have to get a druid's robe for her skillet now, too... Oh, welcome to The Forsaken, Mia :)

Duce Jones/Byson Kaliban/Nerezza vs. The Forsaken: I wrote, tried to get all characters' traits portrayed and make a good lead-up to all of them meeting again together with Amber at Unhinged. Hope it turned out to be as entertaining as I hoped it would be. It also is a pleasure to have Jon for input for Ataxia, makes a big difference!

The Greatest Show in the History of the Business: Great seg that firmly establishes Donovan as the big heel and then the surprise of Jack King coming in and getting a match at Unhinged, I could read this kind of stuff all day!

MJ Flair vs. Marksman: Loved the match, because it really takes all the animosities they had exchanged before and brought them to a new peak and really built the heat for an actual title match at Unhinged, also interesting to see MJ losing her cool and trying to hit a homerun with Mora's head. Can't wait to see their match at the PPV now! Also the closing with D.C. coming out and laying into MJ and then Starr coming out as well adds even more intrigue!

Prepare For Landing

The first segment of the two I wrote for this week. I hope this was a nice look back to the House of Ritten segment from some time ago, and that this storyline is still interesting for you all.

Cheers

I love how Dorian keeps trying to get away and Ataxia seems to be everywhere he turns in this one. You can really sense that Hawkhurst has had enough of the Messiah Pariah, particularly when he starts to choke the living shit out of Ataxia. But as Ataxia always says, even when he's losing, he's winning...and you can see that he's still very much in the head of Dorian. Good one.

Welcome to the Dragon's Den

Standard Church & State opener, nice to see them interacting with Gunt & Rolash as well.

Chef Atticus Rex vs. "Facetious" Franklin Fredrickson

First of all, it was enjoyable writing one last (maybe? :P) time as good old triple F. I was hoping at the time that Peyton's friend Brock was going to put in his application in time to face Rex as both of their debut matches, but that didn't work, so I decided to bring back the Funny Man for one more time and give Rex a chance to shine against him. I'm glad that he did just that, and the post-match segment really brought this all together. I'm sensing that this may end up being a somewhat controversial character, but it has been done well so far, and I for one am enjoying Rex so far.

Appetizer

This segment sucked, next.

Just kidding. :P I'm not sure if Pete worked on this one himself or if him and Marksman worked on it together, but if this was done by just one handler, I'm personally pretty impressed. The dialogue seemed right on here for both characters, both of them are very sure of themselves and don't think much of the other, and god damn am I ready for what should be one hell of a (re)match between them at Unhinged!

Dangerous Dan vs. The Lost Soul

The commentary in this one made the whole match, in my opinion, lol. Although the double DQ with Clark Summits, the referee, getting involved and pushed around as the finish was a bit weird...I think that is a good thing if you think about it. Not something that is really done that often, even if we do have ref bumps it is usually to lead to an interference while the ref is knocked out, not a disqualification. This one obviously is to lead to their PPV bout, which I'm hoping both RP for and is then worth pushing this one forward.

Dance Puppets, Dance

Has the Ataxia character ever been as hot as he is now, storyline wise? Yeah he may have lost a few big matches, including the Impact Title Match versus Dorian at Confliction, but with this segment we see that titles aren't the only thing that matters in the mind of the mad man. The Messiah Pariah is ready to take "back" his federation, and that means that not only is the Impact, World, hell every title in his sights, but the safety of the entire federation could be in the hands of a fucking psychopath. Scary thought.

Crazy Lady Squad

Speaking of scary thought, how scary and fun of a team is Mia Rayne and Autumn Raven? Mia and her cast iron skillet is a bit confusing, but this segment worked well as a WTF? sort of segment.

Azrael vs. Ramsay Gordon

A much deserved and needed win for Azrael after falling into a sort of slump as of late, and a tough loss for Ramsay who could really use a victory since tasting nothing but defeat in his first two matches. I would say this was a very well written match; we had reversals including that of big time trademark moves, quite a few near falls, and great back to back action. Not sure I would have went with Azrael winning with a school boy when that seems to be more of the heel thing to do and he has been going more neutralish face lately, but I do believe his bio says "apathetic heel" or something like that, so I imagine that's what the writer went by. [Side note to handlers: You can change your own application bios on the forums by editing the page. I don't mind you changing your character's stats at any time, whether it be face to heel switch, move change, theme music change, etc.]

A Shouting Match

I changed the dialogue a little bit in the last paragraph of Billy Anderson's dialogue, trying to make this one sound a bit more interesting. After re-reading it and thinking back on this whole storyline so far, I kind of feel bad for Tyler. Billy has been winning over him and completely talking him down the entire time, it would almost be befitting if Tyler either won their career match or at least got some kind of revenge beforehand.

Mia Rayne & Autumn Raven vs. The Unstoppable Force

The Unstoppable Force met the two Strange Objects. We saw a Crotch Clutch Suplex. A further breakdown of an already broken down tag team in the Andersons. Well written match with another different than the norm ending.

Being IntroDuced?

Byson Kaliban, live on CWF Evolution...bay bay! I don't know why but I see a mixture of like a Matt Hardy and Raven when it comes to Byson, definitely a cool new side of Duce coming out more and more.

Just Keep Swimming

Awww, the love story continues...lol. The stem of broccoli was such a weird touch that I definitely got one of those wtf? kind of chuckles out of it. I like how these segments are definitely out of the norm, we are not exactly pushing our way towards a feud (although maybe we are...eventually?), but not everything in real life wrestling is about pushing a feud either. This is definitely an entertaining storyline, added Mia Rayne into the Forsaken in a creative way, and I still think has a lot of legs to stand on as far as a future and where this could be taken. Enjoying it so far.

Christian Starr (c) vs. Impakt (Paramount Title Match)

Christian Starr once again taken to the absolute limit in a title match, but the undefeated Paramount champion definitely held his own against Impakt as well. The writer did a great job with this one showcasing how well both writers did RPing this week, and the strange but amazing interference by Mia Rayne at the end sealed the deal for this one. Excited to see where these three (and Azrael) take it at Unhinged. Should be a great fatal fourway elim. style match.

All The Bloody Things To Come

Don't Sleep is like the coolest catchphrase in all of e-fedding or real life fedding, btw. It is so fucking befitting of a character such as Nerezza, who is like this massive god of a human (barely?) being, someone who is as untouchable as untouchable truly gets right now. The only thing I would say I was a bit surprised about was that the crowd was cheering Nerezza for a little bit, wasn't sure if it was because the Chinese crowd still had love for Harley or if it was just because the character was mentioning the city name. All in all though this one was written brilliantly, definitely painted the picture that Nerezza is a completely different man than Harley Hodge, and he is out for the blood of the four victims that will be locked in a triple cage with him at Unhinged.

The Halls Have Eyes

Short and sweet segment. Intriguing, makes you wonder who is giving Impakt the "you are not alone" note.

Shadow

First, not meaning to be rude, but some of these segments seem to run a little long and have unneeded dialogue (or in the later segment, action) that could be cut down a little bit to have more of an impact. For example: Silas Artoria: Tara. How are you finding Shanghai?

Tara Robinson: Hot. I just wanted to know how you’re feeling about tonight.

and

Tara Robinson: And how do you plan on doing that?

Silas Artoria: I’ve got something in mind that I’ll reveal later. I need to finish my Evolution obligation first.

Tara Robinson: The match with Choronzon?

Silas Artoria: The very same match.

Tara Robinson: And do you have anything to say before your match?

I don't know how to say this, and I know Silas is supposed to be an aristocrat but just keep in mind that these segments have to be believable and that the conversations should sound natural and you want to be as quick and to the point so that your segments have the most punch as possible. Talk about your storylines and where you're going at a quicker pace and it will be even greater than it already is.

Choronzon vs. Silas Artoria

Other than the past/present tense flub-up once again, which we already discussed with you on FB so I won't go into much, this was a really well written match. Absolutely brutal really...the baseball kick, the double foot stomp onto 'Zon's hand, wow some sick shit here. Once again we have a non-pinfall ending, this Evolution is starting to seem a bit like the twilight zone of weeks in that usually we have one "different" finish and it seems like this week we all decided to go about doing that. Maybe ended up being a bit overkill with the non-decisive endings, but we are on the go-home show to the Unhinged PPV so I hope that is forgiven.

Counseling Session

Like I mentioned earlier, I feel like shortening these segments up just a touch would give them the punch that you're looking for. However, wow do we have a storyline going with the break up of the Coalition stable. Silas and Dean Coulter seem to be the two catalysts that are causing this fracture to happen, while Autumn and Sam are kind of caught in the middle of it but are both willing to take the side of their own teammate. I have to be honest that this feud is definitely one of the hottest in my opinion right now, and definitely one of the matches I'm looking forward to for Unhinged.

Room 13

I enjoyed writing this one and feel that it came out to be a pretty good segment. The hologram of Jaiden Rishel flashing as he's reaching out in the hotel room was my favorite bit. Hope you all enjoy.

Dorian Hawkhurst (c) vs. D.C. (Impact Title Match)

Starr did a helluva job on this one as his first match writing for CWF. Each sentence is not started the same way with either of the wrestlers names (which always makes the matches more interesting when the descriptions are different and captivating), we saw a cocky SOB in D.C, a challenger that really brought Hawkhurst to the brink and nearly took the title away from him in this match. He did not have enough in him on this night however, as Dorian retains in a match that I think most of us would love to see happen one more time down the road.

Little White Notes

Cali got a note. Jace got a note. Mia got a note. This isn't Oprah, we don't all get fucking notes! Lol...no, I'm just kidding. This one was written really well, bringing Cali and Jace together and then with Rish in the end we see that he is coming back for his (I thought it was Ataxia's now?) CWF. Maybe a bit overkill on Rish because of the two segs I had earlier, and should have had Elisha in the segment but personal issues caused that not to happen, but all in all a good segment and a good leadup to their match at the PPV.

Caledonia vs. Jace Valentine

I liked this one. We had the emotion running wild between the two of them; a match that seen some submission holds, some straight up attacks, and good back and forth action. What more can you ask for in a match? In the end Cali gets her revenge on Jace for both losing to him in the Modern Warfare tournament and the destruction of the Academy.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Screams

The official welcoming to the Forsaken for Mia Rayne. The psychotic love affair now meets up the Shadow..yyyyyeeeesss! Love this trio, although I do feel a bit bad for the Shadow for having to be the pea in the crazy pod that is the Forsaken.

Duce Jones & Nerezza vs. The Forsaken (Ataxia & The Shadow)

Great tag team match to set up the co-main event of the Unhinged PPV which will see these same four competitors, and Amber Ryan, battle it out in the triple cage match. Each of the four got a little time here...Nerezza's offense is absolutely sick though. Those 10 headbutts to Ataxia? Holy shit. I can't wait to see these four and Amber bring it home with their Unhinged RPs!

The Greatest Show In The History of the Business

Yes, he is. Oh wait, we're not talking about Jarvis King, are we...? :P For real though, this was another quality segment, with Shane Donovan really coming out of his shell here. I really enjoyed this part here, mocking Jarvis:

The man’s comments are cut off as he seemingly plants his leg wrong and he doubles over in pain, grabbing at the braced knee.

Shane Donovan: Oh, woe is me! Someone get a medic out here, I can’t continue! Sorry fans, your hero is just too hurt...

Mike Rolash: Oh no! Shane! Are you alright?

Jim Gunt: Oh my god, would you stop?

In the end we see Jack King, the uncle of old Jarv himself, coming out to finally attempt to shut the mouth of the former Solstice ripoff. Does Jack have what it takes to put down Donovan and do what Jarvis' younger brother Ian King could not do? Or will it be Two Kings Down, One To Go?

Mariella Jade Flair (c) vs. Jay "Marksman" Mora (Non Title Match)

This match was booked to set up their PPV World Title Match, and I think it served it's purpose quite well. The accidental sandwiching of the referee was a nice touch although he seemed to be out for a long time, also some kind of mention who the referee actually is in this match would be nice. Those are really my only two minor complaints though, as this match got both competitors heading into the PPV, and MJF getting caught with the chair made for a good DQ ending to not quite seal the deal...setting us up for Unhinged to be a memorable World Championship match. Now the ending with the Starr/DC/Cali/Payne etc. stable was a massive takeover type of segment after the main event itself, and definitely written well. I was admittedly initially unsure whether the placement of this segment made sense because they did not fit the storylines going on in the immediate future, but the statement being made in the segment was huge, and in the end that's what matters.

GREAT show guys, really, everyone who wrote matches or segments thank you for helping put together another great EVO. Here's to Unhinged, should be a blast...live on Slack!

Mia Rayne

Overall Rating (1-10, 10=best, 1=Worst): Twas the go home show before a PPV, so of course the fans are expecting big things right? Am I crazy or....

Anyways...

This has been the fifth(ish, I think) show that I've been a part of CWF and in all honesty, it's the most fun I've had in this hobby in a very long time. Of course the go home show did not disappoint and I rate it a high 8.8(ish?). The no shows and the apparent lack of effort from some people in regards to effort put into matches is slightly sucky, but such is the life of an EFedder. Life happens and I get it. So do creative blocks, happened to me 7 different times. Ish. I say this with love, I feel this fed is on the right track to great things. All it takes is some hard work and patience. :)

Best Match: In all honesty I've ALWAYS had a love affair for the main event. It's called the Main Event for a reason is it not? Hell, WWE made a big deal about bringing it back before turning it into the watered down joke of a show that it is today...

But I digress.

The Main Event is the cumulation of the show. It's the part that brings everything to a head and leaves everyone wanting the next week to get here already. This show is no different and leaves everyone wondering what the Unhinged PayPerView will have to offer if this was "just" the go home show. Bring a bunch of eruptable elements together at once and look what happens. Chaos and Madness. Told ya it was coming ;)

Best Commentary Line: In all honesty this is the first federation I've ever been in that has used commentary effectively. It's all a pleasant and new experience for me and it's hard to pick just one.

Best Segment: Dear lord does this federation love to write segments. I've been in places where people have had to beg for people to send in segments for shows. Here? It doesn't seem to be a problem. That said, I would have to say that I enjoyed the J. Rish series. It informs a new(ish) viewer like myself that this guy isn't only muy importante, but has a bone to pick. Important people with bones to pick are always fun to watch. Stay tuned folks!

Honorable Mention: Counselling Session. Because who doesn't like drama?

Best Surprise: A Picture Is Worth 1000 Screams. Granted I knew about the segment before the show was posted but I can't take credit for it. Twas very well done :)

Best Feud/Storyline: But....There's a lot to choose from. You've got Miaxia. You've got something going on with all the belts, and there's a power control fight thingy going on. Hmmm.... Are we sure that I can't just say that I like them all? Fine....

I'm going with Christian Starr. Seriously. I might have a thing for a cocky guy with a god complex, and no I didn't mis-capitalize that. This isn't because I was randomly added to the Paramount Title match at Unhinged because Chaos right? But I have always enjoyed the cocky character archetype. You sir run this one to a T and I hope you continue to do what you do.

MVP of the Week: Impakt and Nerezza. Impakt tries so dang hard and comes up short due to being in the wrong place at the slightly incorrect time. Nerezza just because this is just one of those characters meant to be the thing of nightmares. And Nerezza is quite possibly, the thing of nightmares....Sheesh.

Ending Thoughts/Predictions for the next show: Chaos, disorder. A title change here and there. Patience is a virtue after all ;)

Prepare for Landing

Every time I see that line, I go right back to that poem "The Wasteland." Of course I first heard of it while reading a book called Swan Song - about the end of the world.

"I do not find the Hanged Man. Fear Death by Water." And we're on our way to Japan. We're all gonna die in another tsunami, aren't we?

Cheers

This is an interesting dynamic; Dorian trying to keep it together and Ataxia trying to pull it all apart. With Mia Rayne and Ataxia as the new power couple, things are about to get wild.

Welcome to the Dragon's Den

Apt title for a show in China. Too bad Pandalike isn't still around; this would've been the perfect place for him to get a title shot. Nice rundown from Church, state, and the boys.

Cheficus Rex vs FFF

Jim Gunt does his research - these two come from different boroughs of NYC, not different provinces. Obvs this was more of a showcase of Atticus Rex than it was a competitive match, and I think it did its job well.

Appetizer

Me and Marksman wrote.

Dangerous Dan vs TLS

I loved the line "How do you figure that the CWF sends tax information to parts unknown?" It does sort of lampshade the fact that we've got some crazy gimmicks that do need to exist in the real world. Its like asking if Nerezza takes a warm, soothing bubble bath after a tough match.

Mistake - Gunt references Unhinged as being "just a week away" - even on a normal schedule the PPV is two weeks away from the go-home.

Double DQ was an interesting decision; I wonder if this will lead to something in the future. Loved the line tho, about the "parts unknown street fight."

Dance, Puppets, Dance

The crazy laugh to preface Ataxia's entrance used to annoy me but it's growing on me like crazy. In my brain meats I hear it like Billy the Puppet's laugh in SAW.

CLS - Crazy Lady Squad

I like them. They seem like a nice group of ladies.

Ramsay Gordon vs Azrael

Disappointing loss for Gordon, but I think he had a good showing in the RPs, and Az is a tough cookie regardless. He'll be back.

A Shouting Match

Billy is a hypocrite. Of course Tyler is going to choke in the tag team match when you beat him up beforehand.

Autumn Raven and Mia Rayne vs The Dysfunctional Force

"Looking at her teammate with a very suspicious look on her face" - too many looks. Change it up next time, it'll flow better. Also, I don't think we need to speculate too much about what the cause of Tyler's collapse was - he got beat up immediately before the match and came out with his head bandaged. My guess would be severe skull trauma.

Being ReintroDuced?

Good for Tara!

Just Keep Swimming

MiAtaxia is my favorite CWF power couple.

Christian STARR vs Impakt

Nice mix of styles. I enjoyed this match quite a bit. Except for this line:
"Mike Rolash: In saying though, Christian has taking more kicks to the head than a protester!"

Did he have a stroke?

Interesting finish with the no contest/Mia interference. Makes sense then, the 4 way at the PPV.

All the bloody Things to Come

Nerezza gets the cheap pop, then turns it around Heeling 101, good deal.

The Halls Have Eyes

Nice little foreshadow for the PPV four way - and if this is from MiAtaxia, Christian STARR could be in some serious trouble. Also love the wordplay to a classically fucked up horror movie.

Shadow

Silas gives some good exposition about where he's been and where he's going. Little bit much at the end, though - with the Chosen guy. I never like to see NPCs get beat up in a segment, because it always comes off as desperate. Since you have complete control, it's just... some guy getting beat up.

Silas vs Choronzon

Is this the first match Choronzon has had? I could've sworn he's been in at least one other. Regardless, I think Silas made his point. Interesting choice to win via TKO instead of going for a pinfall, but this was just the appetizer for the..

Counselling Session

I think this is a sign that the Coalition is a bit on its last legs, and the title challenge pretty much sums it up. But it ran a bit long... a lot of the back and forth could've easily been cut out. I know it's a real time thing but most of the things they argued about, we've seen already - and for the sake of the audience and the reader it could've been cut at least in half. Hit what's important and imply the rest.

Room 13

This story is getting weirder and weirder. I think Rish never left the arena the night he lost the company and this has been one long acid trip. I don't like that the announcers say he's going to be back at Unhinged in the opener of the next match: this seems to be a thing that nobody would know. Particularly since, we see Rish two segments later, this is clearly a "this already happened" moment.

Dorian Hawkhurst vs DC

Dorian shows his confidence and power from the start. DC counters with some quick moves and arrogance. Well written match, it gave Hawkhurst a nice successful defense and it took down the arrogant DC a peg; that should give him something to have to fight back from, and I'm hoping to see some good writing as to why this means nothing.

Little White Notes

I still say that after everything that went down from Modern Warfare until now, Jace is too confident and self - assured. He should still be trying to figure out himself, at least until the end of the arc. I'm glad to see that Caledonia is calling him on his bullshit. Nice cameo from Rish at the end. This, I dug quite a bit.

Jacehole vs. Caledonia

This is where the announcement of Rish being at Unhinged should've happened. But, this was the match of the night, by far. Not sure about the ending, though. On one hand, it's an upset, because it's Jace Valentine and this is a big fucking deal, but on the other it isn't because Dan is still my absolute favorite writer in the whole of the CWF and my opinion is that Caledonia should win all of the matches, all of the time. Would've loved to have seen some sort of resolution to Cali's "let me think about it" comment at the end.

The Shadow's inclusion is interesting... the Forsaken has found a much better third member than the fucking mannequin.

Duce(Byson)/Nerezza vs The Forsaken

If Duce is now Byson, does he get to refer to himself as a former champion? Tough loss for the Forsaken - this would've been a spot for them to get a big win going into the PPV, but with three (possibly four) participants in the Unhinged match in this one, there was no way to give everyone the win. Maybe there will be some hard feelings coming out of it and Amber Ryan can use it to her advantage?

The Greatest Show in the History of the business

What I said before still holds true - I find the beating up of NPCs to be pointless.

MJF vs Marksman

I wrote, up until the ending with STARR and DC, then I approved.

To address your points, Rish - not sure why I didn't mention the referee's name during the match itself but I did use it- Mora says "Hey Summits - raise my fucking hand." I also didn't really think the ref was down for very long, he occasionally showed signs of life. But it's all well - referees will stay down for as long as the story needs.

Marksman

Overall Rating (1-10, 10=best, 1=Worst):8

Best Match: Main Event was written extremely well. Love it. Hawkhurst and DC was also awesome. Like Hawkhurst a lot and definitely will continue to read DC's work.

Best Commentary Line: there's always a bunch of good one liners it is hard to pick one so i usually never do. I will say that all the writers do a great job of keeping the commentators personalities consistent from match to match.

Best Segment: counseling session did a great job of progressing the story
Honorable Mention: shout out to MJ for working with me on the segment we did. He wrote most of it while I just filled in my lines. thanks for the brief feud.

Best Surprise:Mia interfering in Starr's match was cool

Best Feud/Storyline: Interested to see where Starr's group goes from here. Hoping to see a few segs from them.

MVP of the Week: Matchwriters every week! Hawkhurst for retaining.

Ending Thoughts/Predictions for the next show: Chaos. Quick comment...I love that so many people here do segments that are not just promos. The promo sometimes is a necessary part of wrestling/rp during the show but i always enjoy when storylines are progressed through other events on the show. Post ppv...win or lose...hope to build a long term feud with someone maybe.

Overall Rating (1-10, 10=best, 1=Worst):

There's nothing more satisfying than writing out a full review and then it randomly disappearing into thin air. Needless to say, I was frustrated and quite literally shut my laptop down immediately after I realized that all of that writing was unrecoverable. Now? It's a brand new day. Let's try this again, shall we?

As far as the show is concerned, let's go with a solid 8.5. CWF is similar WCW - or even Ring of Honor - in that it has this underground core to it. It doesn't feel insanely big budget and focuses on the wrestling aspect of it. Not only that, the talent is just so explosive here; I learn that more and more each week. Moreover, the matchwriting is better than most feds I've ever been in. You guys put so much into effort into those matches - truly focusing on the matchwriting aides to make sure that the characters are drawn out as accurately as possible. So, a big pat on the back is deserved there.

The show flowed very, very well. Most of the segments were backed by great emotional highs and lows - and nearly all of them led us somewhere too. If it wasn't driven through an ongoing storyline, it was simply an isolated hype segment that was just well-written and expressed. As some of you know, I HATE commentary. Typically, it adds nothing but necessary, futile fluff. In CWF? It matters. The commentary ties into everything - there's post-match reactions, reactions to segments, comedy, and drama that's unfolding in the match is re-enforced by Rolash and Gunt. At this point, the shows would feel naked without them.

Great job across the board bringing these shows together, and truly making this era of CWF the best yet.

Best Match:
Silas Artoria vs. Choronzon
The intensity was incredible. So much anger and frustration - and all of it was captured with the way Silas fought. Granted, Choronzon put up a fight - but the way this match started off was massive; having Silas toss one of The Chosen out, and then gunning it for Choronzon. The head stomping was crazy - screaming obscenities, absolutely losing his mind. The red eye transformation was crazy too; and I loved that it took a damn chair shot for Silas to come to. Great writing here, man, altogether.

Best Commentary Line:
Mike Rolash: Now he made it mad…

He whips The Shadow into the ropes with almost superhuman strength and on the rebound he grabs The Shadow and launches him over the ropes and the barricade into the fans!

Jim Gunt: Oh my God, just like Duce last week!
Mike Rolash: He’s dead…

Best Segment:
"Cheers" - For me, this is what a segment is all about. Good dialogue, good selling, good storyline movement - clearly, Hawkhurst doesn't quite like Ataxia, as Ataxia quickly declared as he was being beaten. Point blank, I love Ataxia. I think he's one of the most fleshed-out characters in CWF right now. The personality is so sharp and defined - there's this Joker/Mick Foley hybrid going on about him that's hilarious. He loves pain - loves getting the shit kicked out of him - and he literally talks through his bludgeonings. He's wise though - somewhere deep beyond the unhinged stupidity that rests in Ataxia's brain, there's some sort of weird intelligence nestled in there as well. You get a lot of that intelligence in Dance Puppet Dance. If you don't hear The Joker during that segment, then something is wrong with you.

Honorable Mention:

"Just Keep Swimming" - Just great, great stuff here from a very confused, scary, deranged woman in Mia Rayne. Peyton, you are delivering some of the best shit I've ever seen you write. I've known Peyton for - well, forever, it seems - and I've seen her bring a lot of characters to the forefront, but nothing as refined and perfect as Mia. I'll be honest, I have no fucking idea what's happening in this segment, but you know what? That's the beauty of it. There's some stuff that guys like Stanley Kubrick or Orson Welles did that could make your head cock to the side in confusion initially, but you keep watching their material and you begin to embrace that fact that there's much more than initially meets the ole' eye. Peyton is doing this well with Mia, really turning her into an art project that's congested with all of these wild, crazy, and realistic emotions. She's one surprise after another and incredible unpredictable. In the eW world, that's typically called a "win".

Best Surprise:

You can have a locomotive on the track, but that locomotive ain't moving unless there's a fully operational engine in it. That engine, in CWF, is J-Rish. I love the fact that he's coming back at Unhinged, and hopefully for good. Not only does this build a bridge for the AMAZING daughter storyline that he has going on, but it ultimately confirms that we are going to get a possession battle before too long in order to overtake ownership entirely from Sunset. Big yes here. This is like bringing Shane McMahon back; why the fuck would you NOT want this to happen on such a big stage as Unhinged. As if the PPV really needed it, it's going to add a nice MMPH to what's already in store.

Best Feud/Storyline:
The end of the main event was awesome - new stable, and a great "go home" for the MJF and Mora storyline. So, the both of these were excellent, as they were essentially tied together, and quite brilliantly by the main event matchwriter, might I add. Most especially though, this award goes to MJF and Mora exclusively. The work they've put into this feud, the connection when it comes to the dialogue, the history that they're making with each interaction - it's just a golden pairing, if you ask me. The hatred, the envy - whatever it is - is showcased so absurdly well through words that you can really sense the tension. This is the type of feud that could easily play out in real life, as it has all of the standard mechanics that would make this "big air", PPV quality stuff that packs a punch that's harder than Tyson's in his hey-day.

MVP of the Week:
Mia Rayne; all over the place, truly making a name for herself, and just turning the backstage and the onstage upside down with her manic antics. She's the centerfold, if you ask me, and only evolving to become a true rockstar of CWF. Such a great gimmick with all kinds of little intricacies - the skillet, the way that she nestles the bouquet, the obvious, deep sadness, and then the manic jubilant spikes - and who could possibly forget that giggle? Household name, right here, and I'm looking forward to seeing what this forward progression is going to reveal next.

Ending Thoughts/Predictions for the next show:
Great show - as I stated at the beginning of this. Predictions for the next show? It's going to be a firecracker. We're hopefully going to see some closure for a few of these storylines - such as Rish and then, of course, Mora and MJF. What books DO close? Which ones stay open? And what brand new stories will begin to be told as we move through Unhinged? I hope for further explanation of the note, further explanation of Starr and the gang developing a stable, perhaps some more SSRI stuff? Who knows. A CWF PPV is always a treat and I'm ready to be strapped in for the ride. Let's do it!

So...I wrote this, and I forgot to post it, then the power went out.......GREAT!

Still, here's the feedback :D

Overall Rating: 8. Good go home show, building up to the maddening climax on Saturday.

Best Match: Mora v Flair. Got a lot of questions going into Unhinged. Will be watching very carefully.

Best Commentary Line: I've noticed less and less of the commentary as time goes on. Not a bad thing, just mainly focused on the main body.

Best Segment: Just Keep Swimming. Giving me a run for my money when it comes to crazy. I'm coming for you...soon!

Best Surprise: New stable. Gotta love me some stables. Chosen, Druids, Coalition (ish), Eternals...I need to keep track of these and the members :p

Best Feud/Storyline: Mora and Flair are getting me fired up for what's to come. Flair can't seem to catch a breath during the main events. Champion's life is hard, man.

MVP of the Week: Shadow, for putting up with my crap tenses.

Ending Thoughts/Predictions for the next show: I'M COMING FOR THOSE TAG TITLES, THEN I AM COMING AFTER MR STARR, BAY BAY :D
