Blake Church: Huānyíng, CWF Universe, welcome to China’s biggest port city and location for the latest episode of CWF’s Evolution, Shanghai.

Charles State: Ladies and Gentlemen, our Asian tour continues and China has welcomed us into their midst and with that another action packed episode of wrestling, including at least one highly anticipated match up between the reigning champion Mariella Jade Flair and Jay “Marksman” Mora.

Blake Church: This is “Church vs. State”!

Charles State: I’m Charles State and this is Blake Church, and we come to you from the third stop of our tour through Asia, in the history-steeped city of Shanghai. So far we have been lucky with getting a more temperate climate than in the last two locations and that is a nice change, but that doesn’t change anything in the fact that we are facing some hot action this coming Saturday.

Blake Church: We know that it is an odd time, but some scheduling conflicts have led to a cancellation of our planned stop in Osaka and thrown our plan as a whole off a bit, so what was originally planned to be a regular episode of Evolution, if you can call any of them “regular”, that is, this is the final episode before the grand showdown that is Unhinged coming to you from Tokyo, Japan in a mere two weeks’ time.

Charles State: Once more we welcome a new face to the CWF rings, with Atticus Rex, a chef-turned-wrestler from Brooklyn, facing off against Facetious Franklin Fredrickson in a rare appearance of the former CWF star. It is difficult to predict anything here, since we have not seen him in a ring yet, but his appearance is bringing our chef-count to two after Ramsay Gordon had debuted two weeks ago in the big battle royale in Delhi.

Blake Church: One thing that is a pretty sure bet, though, is that the two chefs will eventually face off, maybe we can get some tasty meals out of that one and maybe a little safer than what our colleague Mike Rolash has been ingesting of late...

Charles State: Next up one half of the Danger Boiz, Dangerous Dan, will step into the ring with TLS, who had been absent for a bit, but looks to continue to gain ground in the CWF, how hard is it, though, to step right back in after an absence?

Blake Church: Well, we are not sure about the reasons, but he is a veteran, so it should not take him too long to adjust, especially since Dan has also been around for quite a while, strangely enough it is the first time ever they actually meet in a CWF ring, so there is probably as much prestige on the table as just a regular match-up.

Charles State: Right. I had mentioned Ramsay Gordon earlier, he is also in action here in Shanghai and he will be facing the Archangel of Apathy, Azrael, who is still one of the biggest enigmas in the federation, almost pulling off a surprise victory against Christian Starr in his shot at the Paramount title in Delhi, with only outside interference by Payne saving the champion, but despite this almost-upset his mood has not lightened up.

Blake Church: Now a foul-mouthed chef from New York is in his crosshairs, maybe he can rack in another win after falling so short several times of late. And speaking of falling short, The Stoppable Force, Billy and Tyler Anderson, will be facing Mia Rayne and Autumn Raven in a tag team match right after and there is almost more talk about the brothers being more distracted by each other than their opponents.

Charles State: It is tricky to focus on a team, especially if it seems thrown together, such as Mia and Autumn, if you can’t trust the man right next to you and the beatdown that Billy gave Tyler had raised quite some concerns about the health status of the younger brother, who had to be hospitalized in India.

Blake Church: We have been advised by the CWF’s chief of the medical department, Dr. Harmon Leggett, that while Tyler has sustained a light concussion and some bruises and other minor injuries, he has been cleared to step into the ring this Saturday, but it will definitely be interesting to see how things will play out, especially with Mia Rayne having had some previous involvement with Tyler Anderson back in Korea.

Charles State: The first title on the line this week is, as usual, the Paramount Championship, where Christian Starr still is standing proud in the spotlight after declaring the title his and the most important belt in the company, and he is going to defend it against one of the most promising newcomers we have in our ranks at the moment, the mysterious masked man Impakt, who was the next to last man standing in the Delhi battle royale and definitely has made quite the, well, impact in CWF since his arrival.

Blake Church: I hope that the referee will keep a closer eye on Payne this time around, though, since his interference had been the decisive factor in his last match and this has put some tarnish on Starr’s title reign. On to our first bout of darkness, with the Chosen leader Choronzon stepping into the ring with none other than Silas Artoria, one of CWF’s most divisive characters at the moment.

Charles State: Choronzon’s affiliation with Ouroboros and this Elisha is definitely a bone of contention for many, and our self-proclaimed destroyer of the establishment will definitely look forward to adding a notch to his win record, which has seen a few dents of late, together with the apparent dissent in the ranks of the Coalition, which have become very evident in Delhi after their loss in the 8-(wo)man tag match against MJ Flair, Freddie Styles, The Shadow and Jay Mora.

Blake Church: In the case of Choronzon his involvement in the war around the Spirit Science Research Institute could either fuel his fire to go against the “unworthy” or be a distraction to what is happening in the ring, so this is one of the widest open matches of the evening.

Charles State: Next up the second title match is on the menu, with the Demon of Sobriety Dorian Hawkhurst meeting one of the cockiest newcomers we have had in a long time, D.C., who managed to get a title shot much to the chagrin of some more decorated wrestlers, but despite the short history of the two men, this has turned into a grudge match as much as a regular title shot, so this could be an interesting match up and given Dorian’s ongoing animosities with Ataxia, this has even more potential for conflict.

Blake Church: Three more matches to go and things keep heating up with Caledonia Highlander meeting Jace Valentine in a much debated match, given their roles on distinctly opposing sides in the Battle of the Academy that devastated not only the academy itself, but also a lot of personal relationships.

Charles State: Jace’s recent return to his senses is also the subject of a lot of discussions, from the sincerity of his swerve over his true alliances up to being a potential target for the SSRI and probably also Ouroboros and a bunch of people in-between, so it remains in doubt, if Valentine will actually be able to focus on the match at hand, while the healing of Caledonia’s broken arm also has been a cause for concern, but I am sure that Dr. Leggett’s team has given her some thorough check-ups to ensure there is no further danger to her health, at least not in that area.

Blake Church: Then things will get heated in a different way, with four of the five entrants into the big Unhinged main event for the Briefcase meeting up in some tag team action, with The Forsaken Ataxia and The Shadow on one side and the beast Nerezza teaming up with Duce Jones, or at least so we thought.

Charles State: Yes, since Duce Jones’ diagnosis with Multiple Personality Disorder, it seems as if his alter ego Byson Kaliban will be joining Nerezza in this match, which now is a huge question mark for anybody involved, since none of them have any idea of what to expect from him. The others will have to play a careful game of not giving away too much of their tactics at the PPV and, of course, avoid any sort of injury that could hamper their chances at the opportunity to challenge for any title down the line.

Blake Church: We have managed to reach out to Nerezza for a few questions, since he has torn through CWF in an absolute rampage to see, if we can get some clarifications...

Charles State: You are going to be in the big Unhinged Briefcase match at Unhinged in Tokyo, does this match and its potential prize hold any importance for you, since you do not seem to be concerned with the usual things such as winning matches and belts...?

Nerezza: This is a mission for blood. I will be heard - as Harley should have. Each body that I lay to rest symbolizes another turned stone in my quest for our vengeance and retribution. You see, we all have a side to ourselves that's restrained, right? We keep ourselves away from that side because we prefer not to think about what that side could do if out of control. What is control though? Something diplomatic, something with liberal undertones that symbolizes control, sedation, stagnancy. Relentlessly non-linear in a linear world is refreshing, and necessary in times when the rest of the world feels like immobilized. I am here to create movement. You either run, or you become just another victim of that movement. And if you dare run, it's trusted that you understand what your limitations are. The night showcases me - Nerezza - because I am man unhinged - and reestablished into something the likes of which no one has ever seen before.

Charles State: Other than being on a warpath tearing a bloody streak through the CWF, what is your ultimate goal here in this federation?

Nerezza: Why must there be an ultimate goal for all of you? Far too many men and women do things in order to reach some end-game objective. Video games, movies, music - it all has some sort of payoff, some sort of climax. You know why? I'll tell you. The concept of eternity indescribable. We live only to die, as we're taught - as we're told. There aren't any concepts in the real world. There's no such thing as an end-game, a climax, an avenue to reach. All things, outside of man's theory, revolve endlessly. And my journey, my raid into the lives of all of the feeble-minded civilians that assume that concept of being grounded, will follow the footsteps of the great unknown.

Charles State: You - became Nerezza after a transmogrification gone wrong, is there still anything Harley Hodge left or has he been completely lost in the process?

Nerezza: Harley was yesterday. Nerezza is today. Harley was a sculpture of the past. I am the sleepless beast, formed for the sake of what we presently see and what ultimately lies ahead. Don't sleep.

Blake Church: This is the stuff nightmares are made of, ladies and gentlemen...

Charles State: Oh yes, seeing him on TV already is impressive enough, but when you actually meet him one on one, it’s not something you can really put into wrods to describe...

Blake Church: And then the champion herself will be stepping into the ring with the man that has shown quite the obsession with her and her title of late, Jay “Marksman” Mora. In a non-title match, mind you, but the outcome could influence some future plans for both wrestlers for sure.

Charles State: If he wins, Mora will have a legitimate claim to a shot at the big belt and at the very least a big chip on his shoulder, if he loses, well, I can just imagine that it will not be conducive to his spiritual well-being...

Blake Church: Have you been hanging around The Shadow of late? Usually we only get this kind of eloquence from him...

Charles State: Ah, shuddup, haha.

Blake Church: But you are right, whatever the outcome of this match will be, it absolutely has the potential to alter the dynamics at the top of the food chain for at least the next little while, especially since Mora has definitely made the whole affair very personal and quite frankly, it is a “two worlds collide” match, with the flamboyance and wastefulness of Mora’s lifestyle meeting the very down-to-earth humility of Flair, so this could be a veritable firecracker of a match!

Charles State: So you know what you have to do, be glued to that TV or other device of yours at the special time of Saturday evening for the latest edition of Evolution live from Shanghai, China!

Blake Church: We hope to be able to welcome you again next week, I am Blake Church and this was CWF’s Church vs. State. Good evening.
