Blake Church: Evolution 14 is on the way, the last show before the big Confliction PPV and a somewhat plagued edition it is!

Charles State: Several CWF superstars are nursing some injuries and obviously nobody wants to risk their spot at the PPV, so we are seeing a bit of a reduced card here, but that does not mean that you should skip over this show!

Blake Church: This is “Church vs. State”!

Charles State: I’m Charles State and this is Blake Church and let’s have a look at what has been and is happening this week in the CWF!

Blake Church: As Charles has mentioned, we are a few people short this week, with Caledonia nursing her injured knee, Dean Coulter having been called away on a family emergency and the champion Jace Valentine gallivanting around Sin City to see how he could drag the town even more into depravity!

Charles State: We still have managed to scrape together some interesting match ups, starting with Billy Anderson facing off with the mysterious Jedediah Mathis. The Unstoppable Force so far has had a fairly bumpy ride upon their return to CWF and there also is a good amount of brotherly discord, which sounds dangerously close to what the brothers they came to rescue originally had been showing...

Blake Church: Yes, CWF does not seem to be a very healthy environment for brothers, so it seems, with the Moxleys pretty much torn apart, the Danger Boiz showing more and more animosities and now the Andersons also not quite being in sync, well have to see how this bout is going to go. Billy’s opponent is not just a book with seven seals, we do not even know what the book looks like, nobody so far has seen or heard of the man, so a surprise package to kick things off this week.

Charles State: Next up we have the by now almost traditional multi-threat match to decide on the next contender for the Paramount title, with the enigmatic Azrael taking on one of the hottest upstarts in CWF right now, Christian Starr as well as two new faces in Anthony Ortiz and Mia Rayne, or Payton or whatever name she goes with.

Blake Church: It is great to see that CWF is giving new faces such a great opportunity this early in their career in the federation, I don’t think there are a lot of places that will hand out a shot at a belt like this and Mia has shown up last week and left a rather, err, odd first impression, while Mr. Ortiz has yet to grace a ring around here, I see Starr as the winner, even if Payne does not interfere, he has set the CWF on fire so far!

Charles State: And the winner will face off against whoever will remain standing in the Paramount title match, where Marksman Jay Mora has been looking very, very strong of late and I think that he also can be put down as the favourite against Stalker Knight, who was washed into this match pretty much by default, being the only one to show up for his last week… Starr vs. Marksman could be a very interesting matchup, though!

Blake Church: Sandwiched in-between these two we also have The Coalition facing off against one of their big targets since their formation, the Danger Boiz. Silas Artoria definitely is on a mission and kudos to him for not losing faith in...whatever he believes in, and soldiering on despite more than just one setback, so a clear sign that he is not just acting on a whim. And if he can sync more with Autumn, then these two could be serious contenders for the tag team titles pretty soon.

Charles State: On the other hand the Danger Boiz are a team in turmoil, the Brother virus also has infected these two, Chris had seen some short-lived singles success as Paramount title holder, but it looks like he is back in the fold with Dan and also back to their place within the CWF framework. Hopefully for them they will be able to show more concord than discord, because otherwise they will come out on the wrong end of this volatile match-up.

Blake Church: Speaking of volatile, The Lost Soul seems to have found a bit more of a foothold around here in recent weeks, even though his match with Stranger Danger last week was severely compromised by the Lost Boys’ antics, yet his opponent is of a completely different calibre, because Elisha is probably the most no-nonsense adversary you could face in CWF.

Charles State: Elisha might be a tad bit preoccupied, though, with The Shadow having managed to get under the Moonchild’s skin more than anybody would have expected. And you never know what may (or may not) happen, Forsaken, Coalition, Eternals, things are definitely heating up!

Blake Church: And you mentioned The Shadow and Forsaken, our main event is an equally intriguing and odd lineup, with one side being made up by The Shadow and Ataxia and...Dorian Hawkhurst.

Charles State: Yes, the Demon of Sobriety has been embroiled in a fierce mind war with Ataxia, who coincidentally helped him to take the Impact title from The Shadow last week and now they are fighting on the same side, we have reached out to Dorian for a few questions:

Blake Church: Dorian, you have been embroiled in a battle of almost epic proportions with our local bag man, Ataxia, already and you haven't even met him in a match. And now you suddenly find yourself on a team with him in a 6-man matchup, how does that feel to you?

Dorian Hawkhurst: I gotta be honest with you, man. I ain't feeling too good about having to team with the "Tax Man". It's kind of like that old 90's movie "Sleeping With The Enemy". I'm going to do what I always do. Before every match, I take a moment, take a long hard look in the mirror, and put my game face on. The only thing in the match I can control is myself. If nothing else, you know that I will do everything I can within my power to win. If Ataxia, and the Shadow, too... if they hold up their end of the deal... I think we'll surprise some people.

Blake Church: You are currently holding the Impact Championship, what does it mean to you to have gold around your waste at this early stage?

Dorian Hawkhurst: Winning the Impact Championship has been surreal. I'm packing my bag to head to the next arena and seeing it in my bag makes me wonder if this is real life. I don't want to sound like I am demeaning the Impact Championship, but a title is just a title. It is only as important as the person holding it. I have to put everything I have into defending the Impact Title because there are some people out there that view this of the fulfillment of the promise that I've shown. I feel like following in the footsteps of The Shadow is going to be difficult, but I think that I am up to the task.

Blake Church: You are still a fairly new face to CWF and you came in at a time of true upheaval, what is your opinion of this federation as a relative newcomer?

Dorian Hawkhurst: I try to look at things from all sides. Coming in, I had my concerns. But with upheaval comes opportunity. I feel that I came in and provided something different. You need to do that in this business. I know I'm not perfect, but I want to make sure that I put my best face forward and try my best to be a role model. As for the company, I know I came in at a weird time. Things are always changing. It's the nature of the beast. But I am going to do my best to try and provide some stability to not just the Impact Championship, but the company as a whole.

Charles State: Some interesting insight into the point of view from someone who has not been with the CWF for all that long yet. And their opponents are what many consider the #1, 2 and 3 contenders for Jace Valentine’s World Title, MJ Flair, Duce Jones and Freddie Styles, a trio that has come from fierce opponents and has gone on to form an alliance that both holds plenty of promise, but also uncertainty.

Blake Church: All three of them have had their respective run-ins with Ryan Sunset, with both MJ and Duce refusing to come under his umbrella, while Freddie Styles openly rebelling and turning his back on the Eternals, so while they are all facing into the same direction now, you never can be sure what Sunset or the Eternals have up their collective sleeves and neither of them have shown any scruples in the past to use anything in their power to get their way, so the three of them might have to have their eyes elsewhere than just the ring.

Charles State: Granted, the same goes for The Shadow as well, since he has been meddling in SSRI affairs quite a bit of late and with his big match against Elisha coming up at Confliction, there definitely is potential for, well, conflict on that side of the ring as well.

Blake Church: So as you can see, despite the missing faces this week there still is a lot happening and at stake and even though there’s only one title on the line, there should be plenty of action happening in the Big Easy this coming Monday!

Charles State: We hope to be able to welcome you again next week, I am Blake Church and this was CWF’s Church vs. State. Good evening.
