What with the general revival of the forums going on, I thought that the rules were looking a bit old and dusty and needed a clean up. Be warned though; I plan on adding a serious "general regulations" section in this thread, due to many new member's confusion with how SPAM! works (although according to certain proposals this may not be a problem in future). You'll recognize some old favourites, and a couple of new ones. Enjoy.  [size=3]The Rules[/size] 1. SPAM! Is a misnomer. Regulars retain the right to decide which threads are good and which threads are bad, and Mods retain the authority to close threads as they see fit. 2. Don’t fret; you’re respective subculture, god bless it, will be made fun of. 3. Cats are best left tasteful and infrequent. 4. If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. 5. If you see Mr Blobby posted by a reg, you are officially doing it wrong. 6. Nobody cares about SPPf. Except Raito. 7. Everyone at some point or another is or has a fat whore, a different skin tone than they usually do, a different sexual orientation and a small penis. 8. The Auths of CBC retain the right to move any shitty thread from anywhere else in the forums into SPAM!, wherein it becomes property of SPAM! Until it is seen fit to withdraw the action. 9. Profanity is scripture. 10. This is not a democracy: this is a dictatorship. 11. Your face and your mother are always relative to the topic at hand. A part of your genitals are also a common household sight in SPAM!. 12. Yes, the correct spelling is always SPAM!, no matter how many punctuation marks end up beside each other. 13. Do we have any bananas? 14. Yes, we do. 15. All your IPs are belong to us. 16. Infractions can be handed out for SPAM! 17. Repeatedly bumping old threads is irritating. 18. None of the smilies are related romantically, stop trying: this isn’t fucking shipping, 19. This thread sux. 20. There will never, EVER be post count. 21. If the post count is ever re-added, it will lead to the ultimate death of SPAM! And ultimately CBC. 22. There is always a Plan B. Always. 23. No emos. 24. Do a Bibarel roll. 25. Be creative with polls, please. 26. Long live SPAM!. 27. Argh! My Face! |

[size=3]General Rules and Regulations[/size] - As Rule One states:- SPAM! ss a misnomer. SPAM! is not simply a place where you can repeatedly post trashy threads or baw about how bad your life is. All members with editing privileges, be they Regulars or Auths, retain the right to decide which threads are good and which aren’t. Albeit this is down to personal opinion, there is rarely an occasion where the general community will not be at a consensus about a topic. As such, your thread still has the possibility of being edited, closed or even deleted, just like anywhere else on CBC. There is also the possibility of bad threads from elsewhere on the forum being moved to SPAM!. - Exclusions and Infractions. As far as I am aware, there is a possibility of SPAM! Becoming a “regulars-only” section. If this occurs, then exclusion will become a possibility: this means that if you continually make bad contributions, your posting rights in SPAM! Will be removed. On the subject of Infractions, there is even a rule in SPAM! That states infractions CAN be given out in SPAM!. This will usually be due to bad repeatedly bad posting, pure trolling or anything else mentioned below this paragraph. Bans are incredibly unlikely due to bad posting in SPAM!, but have been known to occur for pure trolling. - Vulgarity and moderators. While repeatedly posting particularly brutal images or pornography will result in infractions or exclusion due to being classed as ‘pure trolling’, it leads me to discuss another point. Personal opinion counts greatly in SPAM!. Most of the community agree on topics, and I myself have no such problem with the occasional nude popping up in SPAM!. However, if a Mod has had a particularly bad day you may find they are stricter than usual: don’t take it personally and just move out. If they begin unfairly handing out large doses on infractions feel free to make some sort of complaint. |
