Those who say otherwise haven't played this game yet, or are obvious fanboys. This game gives you not one--not two--not three--but FOUR instruments to play. Each of them are fun to play in their own way. Personally, I love to play the drums. Guitar and bass are played occasionlly, as well. My pitch is ass, so I sucked on microphone But it's still pretty fun. This game works on similar mechanics to Guitar Hero, what with the grid and such. The background during the songs are great. Watch your band litterally rock out during the song, or screw up when you suck and the crowd boo's you to hell. Another good feature is customizable chaacters, and bands. Create a character, make a band name, logo, and motto, and hit the road. You play at different cities, playing gigs, or a setlist of songs. Do well on them, and you unlock new songs, as well as new gigs, managers, and cash to customize your band's look and equipment. Pretty awesome. Oh, the loading screens are entertaining to watch as well. Watch your band do some wacky stuff, like starting bonfires and stuff. So yeah, check this game out.

The game is awesome. It's more focused around teamwork, rather than the solo gigs in Guitar Hero, I forgot to mention. When your teammate sucks, you can use your Overdrive (AKA, Star Power) to save your teammate. You need everyone to finish the song, or else the crowd will boo you off stage if they stay out for too long. This game requires communication between band mates, which makes it entertaining. Guitar Hero guitars are compatible with this game, by the way.

Posts: 112 Group: Members Member #43 Joined: May 12, 2007	I had a chance to play Rock Band with a "Band" and I have to admit, It's kinda...fucking awesome..Rather than playing as some loser named 'Judy Nails' or 'Izzy Sparks'..You get to play as yourself, Such as a Emo Drummer (Mario Sk8er) or a Pilot Bassist (Myself) which was really good for it. And the Song list is tight.

Clever graffiti Posts: 1,595 Group: Members Member #26 Joined: April 10, 2007	Drums are meant to be awesome. In that, if you can ace the Expert drumming on the game, then you'll actually be very good at the drums irl.
