Places to EV train Atk - using the Super Rod on Route 209. Gyarados/Seaking (2 Atk EVs each). Max Atk in 21 battles w/the Power Item and Pkrs. -Pokeradar chaining for Kricketune (2 Atk EVs each) in Routes: 206, S. 210, 214 and 215. HP - Route 209 just below Solaceon Town. Use the V.S. Seeker, there is a girl that has 5 Bidoof (1 HP EV each). 50HP IVs per battle w/the Power Item and Pkrs. Def - Route 214, Digger's Cave. Geodude and Hippopotos (1 Def EV each). Speed - Route 205. Use the V.S. Seeker, there is a fisherman (the one on the top right) w/6 Magikarp (1 Speed EV each). 60 speed EVs w/the right Power Item and Pkrs. SpDef - Route 223. Tentacruel (2 SpDef EVs each) and Mantyke (1 SpDef EV each). SpAtk - Enterna Forest, Old Chateau. Gastly (1 SpAtk EV each). Power "Items" There are 6 Power Items in all. They each give you an additional 4 EVs depending on the Power Items itself. Power Ankle (blue) - Gives an additional 4 Speed EVs after every battle Power Band (yellow)- Gives an additional 4 Sp.Def EVs after every battle Power Belt (orange) - Gives an additional 4 Def EVs after every battle Power Lens (purple) - Gives an additional 4 SpAtk EVs after every battle Power Waist (green) - Gives an additional 4 HP EVs after every battle Power Wrist (red) - Gives an additional 4 Atk EVs after every battle All of these items can be purchased at the Battle Tower for 16BP each. Pokerus (Pkrs) The Pkrs is a "disease" that Pkmn can catch from wild Pkmn (or any other infected Pkmn). The Pkrs doubles the total amount of EXP and EVs that the infected Pkmn would recieve after a battle. Once a Pkmn is infected it can spread the disease to other Pkmn on its team. This is done by getting into Pkmn battles with either trainers or wild Pkmn. The Pkrs usually spreads to uneffected Pkmn in a party that are right next to infected Pkmn. The rate of how the Pkrs is spread is random and can take much more than one battle to spread. The infectiousness of the Pokerus can be lost. Meaning a Pkrs infected Pkmn will eventually lose the ability to spread the Pkrs. You can tell if a Pkmn can no longer spread the Pkrs by a happy face smiley in the first page of the infected's Summary. However the effect of doubling EVs/ EXP gained still affects a Pkmn, whether it is infectious or not. |

It adds 4 to the EVs you gain. So if you fight a Magikarp (1 Speed EV) it goes 1+4=5 EVs. Pokerus goes before both though, so against the same Magikarp the forumla is 2(1+4), so amazingly a Magikarp gives you 10 EVs. |

| Well I brought this up in IS, but I really don't think Garchomp is Uber with deoxys-e around, since the speed boost from dragon dance make users of that move more potent than Garchomp, who really plays more as a wallbreaker with a chance to sweep. Bot | May 11 2007, 11:39 AM Post #13 |

See, this part, I had no idea about until a week ago. Thanks to my lack of knowledge of this, my Cresselia's EV spread is something like 255 HP / 192 SpAtt / 63 SpDef That sure discouraged me. Haven't EV trained much since that. |

To help you out, I'll ask a question: Do EV-reducing berries like Pomeg work in D/P like they did on Emerald? |
