Espeon

Posted Image

Tier- BL

65 HP / 65 Atk / 60 Def / 110 Spd / 130 SpA / 95 SpD

Ability
Synchronize- When espeon is inflicted with a status, so is the opposing pokemon.

CalmMind Passer / EspyJump

Espeon @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 196 HP / 88 Spd / 224 Sdef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Baton Pass
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Substitute

EspyJump works like this: bring it on a (prefferrably non-STAB) special attack and put up a sub on the switch. Calm Mind while they attack, most likely breaking your sub. This is where it gets a little tricky. You're gonna have to predict whether they will attack you again, or try to Stat Up / Status on what they think will be a baton pass. If you think they'll attack you, Baton Pass out. If you think they're gonna try and status you, put up another sub. After you’ve CMed enough, Baton Pass out to something that can use them. Espeon has great speed so it should be relatively easy for her to pull off the BP.

Other Options; Morning Sun is a good healing move. Wish is also good for regaining HP, as well as supporting your team. Reflect is another good support option. Charm can work for phazing as well as helping your mediocre defense. Hidden Power [Fire] can work if you want to try a sweeping set like Psychic / CM / HP [Fire/Water] / Morning Sun. Sunny Day could work in tandem with morning sun and HP Fire.

Counters: Tyranitar. Metagross, and Houndoom are all immune / resistant to psychic and can hit Espeon hard with STAB Moves. However, espeon can just baton pass a Calm Mind / Sub out to a counter of these. Snorlax has high Sdef and can take a few psychics, so you will probably need to baton pass against him. Phazers such as Skarmory, Suicune, and Swampert will just roar you out, making baton pass usless. However none of these will like taking STAB Psychics.

Opinion: if I didn’t like espeon, why would I waste my time writing a whole analysis about it?
